@@Logistical I hope the studio makes a 3 Ed game where you manage new London and all of the colonies that the player made and ultimately rebuild the world that fell
If that's what you want to believe. Warm periods are historically rare in the geological record. If anything the industrialization increased survival so more humans could make it to the next interglacial period.
I know some people are complaining that you're going too fast or aren't optimal enough, but I wanted to say that the whole thing was a great watch. I can't play these myself cause they stress me out too much (I'm no good with city-builders) but watching someone who knows what they're doing is a delight. Keeping an eye open for another playthrough !
I get why some people get mad about it not being optimized but at the same time it’s still the first week of the game coming out. Still an entertaining video nonetheless
The more automaton-tied events and proposal I see, the more I wonder if it’s possible to go all-out with the Stalwarts and giving yourself emergency powers until you get to a state of machine-fueled totalitarian dictatorship.
@@Logistical well, I guess that now I have to subscribe to the channel to see if it actually happens, right? 😅 you deserve it in any case, your content is really top notch! Anyway, is it possible to rule a successful colony (even a brutal dictatorship) by supporting just one faction, or maybe two at best? Like for example the Stalwarts and the New Londoners in this case
Wouldn't it be smarter to dig deep into the ground and build a vertical city? Below ground should be warmer in general and heat rises up, so you have less "surface area" before it gets lost in the atmosphere. (The surrounding rock absorbs it as well but could be insulated efficiently).
Yeah true, but I think when this is set, there is t the technology to dig vast area into the earth, don’t quote me on that. Also, they probably just want to make our lives harder for the sake of the story 😂
@@bigpigeon2384 Seth real general, I finished Frostpunk 2 story with bitter taste in my mouth cos there's no ending game just saying you done with story that's all that's not it, also 5 hours short, half of map not even opened yet story already done
I am playing the game on the hardest diffuculty and damn are you required to hyper optimise, and constantly made deals to pass laws. Add on top everything has to be planned out well in advance. You sort out coal, only for food to be an issue, sort that out then materials become an issue, oh you need to provide goods as well.... tough not enough prefabs or heatstamps. So I am constantly adjusting the effiency of the different districts over and over agian.
yeah, lot sof micromanaging needewd, havent attmpted max dificulty yet but will work my way up! The more we get to know laws and buildings we should know what we can prioritse
@@Logistical I just got to hope that I dont accidently watch the video Edit: btw did you see the music video from stupendium on frostpunk 2 because its great
I definitely took a few minutes to grasp how the game worked. (Like a whole practice playthrough lol) but after that, it started to feel like the first game more.
I feel like both of the frostpunks are at their best when you're struggling, it perhaps forces you to make tough choices that really sells the bleak premise they were going for. Unfortunately as you get better at both of the games, the less enjoyable it becomes towards the mid-late game since i was able to effectively "win" the game before i even saw the victory screen. I played frostpunk 1 at the highest difficulty and it was an immense challenge to make it through the early game without people dying, however the endgame was much the same as my other playthroughs, having stocked up on so many resources the final storm was pretty trivial
I feel like you blasted trough this game too fast and focused on certains aspects for too long; Exploration, even tough you rushed to it was focused on the wrong upgrades, with the right ones you can have easily 60 scouts teams The surplus injector also is not a good idea as it burns any surplus you have and basically waste the fuel. It has it's use, but not when you need to stockpile for the whiteout. You also rush construction, after the 1st chapter, when you started you took full advantage of all the bonuses you can get but halfway trough the 2nd chapter you just put things randomly, if you manage the housing well enough with their adjacency bonuses you don't even need heat hubs and can really push that coal for a very long time. Would love to see you play this again on the faith origin and focus on the evolver, all hail the omnissiah xD
Yeah, this was one of my first playthoughs, tryin gto stike a balance between a resonable length of video and getting it done. I have gottne way more efficent with placing buildings so nect playthoughs will be better hopefully!
Chapter 4 Voracity é um ABSURDO de foda, foi quando chegou no clímax pra mim. A música, os conflitos, se tornar capitão, a guerra cívil, muito bom e bem feito o jogo, excelente 😮😊
I may have only seen a little bit of it, but I don't really like the building part with the districts. I think the first game had the superior building system by being able to place down every building.
I played the first game a lot and failed a few times i so far have made it to over week 600 on my first run i really threaded the needle during the whiteout but got better so I'm pretty much clear now just gotta improve relations and pass peace accords after the civil war
Watched 3 hours and still felt like you're going too fast. I think you should attempt a best ending run, where you actually got peace. The final parts are too quick and it seems like you botched it beginning in the winter home part. But so far you've done amazingly for the first play through and I'm interested to see more
Yeah I agree, was like my 2nd playthough and need slow down a bit. thats th eisue with recoring at the same time, you have to strike a balance between good gameplay and not making the video too long!
all i see you struggle to manage resources but back in frost punk its not like that yes you struggle for resources here and there, but there are moments where your colony thrive as well but in this I don't see that. this seems like garbage game to compare to old Frost punk the district is really trash concept i would rather plan my city and people than just talking to 4 fractions leader going to cut my throat anytime. i don't see fun elements. this doesn't seem fun at all. but your gameplay was really good nice vid thanks for showcase
There are times where you can get the city stable, but then people will arrive and demand goes up! That is just Frostpunk though! Me personally wouldn’t say it’s garbage, but it is wildly different to the first one. I do love it though, once you get your head around the new mechanics, it starts to feel very Frostpunk again
@@Logistical but the true soul of Frost punk is the choice you make for individual peoples and your decision does impact there lives. you decide how you going to build city which building goes where is yours decision, city planning where u need heaters will impact there lives but alot of assets are copy paste in this version and they copy paste all the wrong things. i played it 6 hours and i just can't sit infront of the screen had to delete the game. it was this bad for me so i do stand with my opinion and respect yours as well.
I would have to disagree. Matrix 4 was a lazy cash grab trying to take advantage of nostalgia. Frostpunk 2 breaks new ground while keeping true to the original games. What I would say though it’s VERY different and won’t be for everyone
@@Logistical Visually, I think it's worse..fp1 was more beautiful..in fp2 I miss people, how they move in the streets, details on houses and other similar things, now there are only some super fast fireflies
