I remember my late father tell us how happy he was to see me and my younger brother just hanging out together. Many years later, now that I'm a dad, I understand what my dad was saying. I LOVE hearing that my kids hang out together and just enjoy each other's company. I'm sure your parents feel the same way. 😁
Man I love you guys, your videos are so inspiring and powerful, that ending song is such a banger too!!! I probably watched the bus one 4 times and the skateboard one 3 times and I'll be watching this again for sure
Dang! You guys think of something and you put everything you have into to it and never give up! Keep up that mindset guys, very healthy and very entertaining!
I think this is what makes your channel unique you have definitely found your niche building cool things that no one would ever think to build and then doubling how cool it is !! I’m a subscriber since 40,000 and I’ll always support your crazy adventures!
Wow yeah! No one has ever, ever thought of building a really fast electric scooter before! So crazy! They should try building a fast ELECTRIC car next. No one had ever thought of those either.
I'm so glad you guys were still able to build this despite waiting 2 months for a new battery, your guys dedication to these projects is mind blowing. Your channel will hit 1 million subscribers soon, just wait. 🤯
Awesome video. I've been commuting daily with an electric scooter since october and i love it. It goes 30 mph and gets ~35 miles of range on a single charge which is perfect for daily commuting in my city that never rains or snows. But I always wanna go faster and hate being bottle necked by the 30 mile range so ive been looking at hyper scooters non stop. Theyre so expensive.
U guys are nuts & I like it,I have a e- unicycle & just bought 2 more e- boards ,had a scooter & motor went on 1st ride ,they tried fixin it BUT I sent it back
thing i love most of all is no matter the setbacks you guys kept going, not only did you keep going but you guys improved it each and every setback. awesome content and a new sub from me!
It's 3am and I'm about to watch and like every video you've posted. Please don't stop, not only that you motivate people with it but also that you show everything that goes with it, whether good or bad. What I would still be interested in would be the total cost of each project. Keep up the good work!
When your first battery exploded, there is a very high likelihood that only a small fraction of the individual battery cells inside suffered damage. you could have bought a new BMS protection board and rebuilt it for significantly less than buying a new battery. Cool video and amazing build!!👍🛴
BMS only protects when charging/discharging and balances the cells when charging. That was thermal runaway, caused by shitty Chinese cells from China - 'UnitPackPower' is notorious for exploding batteries.
i rarely click the like button on videos, but i liked this one just because i hope it gives just even a little amount of money to you guys so you can keep making these amazing videos. And everyone should do the same
you should click the like button on any video that you enjoy. It's not asking much, and people put a lot of work into videos for you to just freeload and not even help them out by clicking your mouse, that's just rude
I built a scooter just like this...same color and probably same motor. Different controller. I know exactly how you felt when your battery exploded. In my case it was the motor that malfunctioned. It can be expensive but sometimes the reward at the end is worth it.
You should have lengthened the handlebars and built a deck with the battery and controller underneath that way the battery won't die if you hit a pothole or puddle I just built a razor dirtbike 2kw and 48v I got my Honda plastics coming in today for it You guys are definitely an inspiration, my next projects are a house pontoon boat and remodeling a travel trailer/5th wheel
Relative to their cost? Suspension, water proofing, better controllers, user controls, dual in-wheel motors that can handle the load/heat and shipping.
i was watching this on my phone and needed to come login in and drop you a like and comment. @6:31 the fact you boys stayed commited means the world, even tho you both didnt have the money.
I've been a tremendous subscriber to your channel since the phenomenal toilet paper rope! Your content is fantastic, your family is incredible, and you make my day great again! 🇺🇸 Thank you!
This was incredible to watch and I love all of your videos, but as soon as you pulled out the first battery and showed it was from Amazon, I was almost certain there was going to be a fire. I'm an engineer and do a ton of work with electric vehicles and you basically have two options for lithium batteries for large custom projects: put a ton of hours into learning how to build them yourself using quality cells and components, or shell out the extra cash and get something custom made like you did in the end. Anything else is a gamble, especially Chinese packs from Amazon. You blamed the issue on the motor controller, and technically proper settings on the motor controller COULD have prevented the battery pack from exploding, but so should the pack itself. The listing on Amazon clearly states that the pack has a BMS Board, something that would have prevented a (presumably) over-discharge related fire. In this case though, it clearly failed. Sorry if this is seen as unsolicited advice, you're crazy smart but I'd hate to see you waste more money on videos through mistakes like this.
The Dude Scooter. The creators are too broke to even buy another battery. Needed 2 months of hard work at McDonald's to get the dow. Yeah...American dude ingenuity at it's best...dude. Next you guys should build a Dude Rocket and go for the Moon mission! Then you can keep saying "dude" while weightless!
Facts in video major cap. 0% chance you get like 60 miles of range let alone 100. And also 0% chance you hit 60 mph with only 5kw, didnt show pics, didnt happen.
Hell of a job guys. Thanks for the video. This is a theme that pro scooter manufacturers should be striving for. I enjoy some suspension myself, but the most important thing that manufactures miss is the size of the wheels. LOSE those tiny wheels. Just lose them. These are not a kids kick scooter. If you're going to build a scooter that runs at high speeds, you need stability. Bicycles and motorcycles have better stability because they have much larger, heavier wheels. This allows a tremendous amount of centrifugal force to be built up, stabilizing the machine. Lose those 10 and 11 inch wheels and go for at least 15 inch or so. You guys did a hell of a job here. Thank you again for the video.
for reference everyone since this guy does not post a parts list to gatekeep easy projects the motor is a MY1020 motor most likely the 1800w or 2000w version. the controller is a KELLY KVD7215N the battery is likely 72v nominal unsure if he got 2 36 and ran series or 2x 72v and ran parallel. all this is attainable for under $1000 bought seperately and can be used in most anything its very easy to setup and is mostly plug and play. for example i have this exact setup in my powerwheels dont think this is grand and extravagant to where you cant do this, ANYONE can do this. its cool and fun dont get me wrong but its alot easier than made seem
My heart sunk when i saw the battery smoking. I always wanted to attempt these types of projects but can't afford 2 batteries if something goes wrong. Awesome build! Suspension next?
I used to make those batteries from scratch what you'll need is nickel plate, spot welder, heat shrink for batteries and wires, BMS(batter management system and the batteries themselves. Took me about a day to complete a battery pack
