I built a hotel in The Sims 4 For Rent 

I just want to say, I know some of the balconies are the wrong height and the windows are the wrong colours - it annoyed me while editing! It'll be fixed when I share to the gallery for the pack release

James said they kind of made it so that you have to be a good landlord and I felt a modder somewhere in the world sit up with a million ideas on how to bring slumlords to the sims 😂

I'm impressed that James built this awesome hotel so fast when his previous attempt was taking YEARS

All the pretty pastel pink swatches in this pack are just screaming for a Burger Boys in Tomarang!

We could say that the hotel has an official and pretty classy name but because the flamingo thingies and it being pink, locals started to call it The Pink Flamingo and rest was history 😂

I feel they should've gave a little more to pools, especially with the new pool party. Like the new bar could've been a pool bar, pool games/activities, curved/round and above ground pools. Rather than just one lounge floatie. But that's just my opinion.

When you mentioned adding in kitchens to the hotel rooms later it made me think of the tiny kitchenettes that some hotels have. Like they don’t have a full kitchen but just microwave, mini-fridge, coffee machine type situation. Might be a fun addition

Honestly in Indonesia it is VERY common to have trees on the parking lots to provide shades as it can get quite, ahem, sunny here. So your tree placement totally tracks. Sometimes the trees grow so big the roots break down the pavement/concrete around it and then you'll have to maneuver over lumps of roots and broken blocks. Good times.

Using the debug buildings from a pack as a reference is a valuable skill that I learned from James a while ago that genuinely improves my game experience!

There's an old 1960's children's book called The Pink Motel. The guests are a magician, wood carver, artist, and two "gangsters". This build is giving me that vibe 😂

This needs to be the next expansion honestly in a Vegas like city. We should be able to hire staff and a bellhop and hosts and service rooms.

This is such a dumb thing to be excited about, but I'm so stoked there's finally a bike rack debug item?? The other day I rebuilt the science lab from get to work and was trying to make a decorative parking lot and i ended up using some random metal fencing and just trying to make it look like a bike rack lmao

I think it would have been nice to put the chalk hopscotch activities on the parking lot 😊 and I'm amazed with how well the build fits into the new world

I love all the colors in this pack, and all the opportunities for making dingy builds.

The colorful plants you placed outside and were saying hoe much you like them, with the vibrant colors (20:45) from debug are actually from Island Living in the regular catalog :)

Since you’re all about apartments/hotel builds ATM, how about trying to tackle the Madonna Inn?! Every room has a different theme and you can use your wheel to spin for a theme!! This hotel was pink so it made me think of it but the Madonna Inn is still incredibly different.

I love it! The pool area is my favorite. I like when you take the debug shells and turn them into real builds! 😃

This pink hotel reminds me so much of a movie called The Grand Budapest Hotel. (Really great movie. I highly recommend y'all to go and watch it) I would love to see someone turn the hotel building from that movie into a building in The Sims 4 🤩 Set that aside, I think this build is amazing as always! ☺

I love the idea of using debug houses to build the shell of houses. I struggle so much with building, I’m much more of a furnisher. That is helpful!

I applaud you trying to show how the hotel system could work within the confines of the pack. 😅 Before I had dine out I use to always do publicly accessible kitchens in ‘lounges’ and ‘bars’ that were specifically designed in the manner of restaurants in the pack and I selectively placed grills as well so there was a place to get food. I got dine out during the sale just so I could go back and properly turn all those venues to proper restaurants where my sims didn’t cook their own food. Sucks simple restaurants are stuck behind a pack paywall. I hope we do properly get a hotels kit or stuff pack or something that allows things like room service, maid service, and full service kitchens. All the mechanics are there scattered throughout the packs just behind walls that don’t allow them to all work together. And while mods are cool to manipulate the system, it is always nice when everyone has access to it via in-game mechanics.

I would say I'd gladly stay in a hotel like this, but I've already seen your gameplay of it, in which case no, I'd rather live 🤣

I laughed so hard at 20:22. So the pink flowers are called Lotus. They are a type of aquatic plant native to Asia, very common in China and Vietnam, and usually need to be in muddy water to survive :)))

I watched the Let's Play of this, but was looking forward to build video as well. Great you showed off how we could use the rent system like a hotel. We really need proper hotels at some point!

This is the type of rental space I’m looking to have my sims live in with their family so it feels more like a home and not an apartment with separate amenities (kitchen/dining for example) I’m so excited to see what else you build soon

This is exactly how I would use the pack.. to make hotels. The team obviously encourages it, with being able to have 1 day leases, but all they sell the pack on is apartments. I suppose it's because if they called it apartments and hotels, people would complain that there wasn't a check in and out feature. And that would be soooo hard to add. 🤔 And then they couldn't sell a hotel & resort pack separate. Makes me want to wait and save my money.

Loving the pink. Gives me a huge "renovated B&B" vibe, as in with the advent of AirBnB lots of people now push for a "unique experience." From the slightly out of place elephant sculptures I imagine the building itself is pretty old and maybe a lot of the furniture original from a more historical hotel, but the new owners slapped a coat of pink paint, renovated the bathrooms and added a pool deck, and of course stuck a plastic flamingo in the indoor planter to make it stand out from the competition.

Would love to see a motel style build sometime.
