One thing I appreciate... I never heard Fowler trash his ex. There are a lot of reasons he wouldn't... kids, liability, respect, etc. People go through things and sometimes we are not always ready. It's good to see him healthy and himself again... it takes a while.

Another sight solution for this that could improve safety, is canting the sights at a 45 degree angle and offsetting them on your firing side. AT4 RPG tubes have sights like that, which work well for shoulder-fired weapons. That would keep the operator’s head away from the path of the slingshot band a little more.
I built a slingrifle based on the stock shape of my weihrauch hw97kt but extended the foregrip to match my draw length. I had the same issue with the power loss and figured out its the loading time. With my slingshots on average its 3 to 4 seconds but the slingrifle its more than double that. I fitted mine with a bipod and red dot sight, shoulder strap, picatinny rails and mounted a torch too. Its great fun

i love greg. he truly seems like the kindest soul and he’s always so calm. the first time he slightly lost his cool when he had that hook in his finger but even then he was awesome. i love watching zach too but greg is so genuine and it really comes thru on screen. like you can tell the wooded beardsman can be a jerk sometimes lol. i’m sure he’s a nice guy tho.

I made Peg guns as a wee lad. All u need is 2 clothes peg, a 1x2, 2 nails and some rubber bands.. my dad then taught me how to make sling shots using 4 rubber bands, a football bladder and a piece of the leather for pocket n a Y piece branch. Ball bladders make the best slings

I found your channel from wanting to get a slingshot. Got the axiom based off your recommendations and watched your videos to get started. Watched like all your existing slingshot vids. I also enjoyed your catch and cooks, survival challenges, and just whatever else. I'm sure it's kinda discouraging hearing everyone ask about slingshots most of the time but I'm sure a lot of us found you because of them. When I see a video of slingshots it gets me motivated to go shoot and I end up having such fun. Keep doing what you're doing though! Like your stuff.

By the way as for your Chrono not reading; the guys on taofledermaus actually figured out a trick by accident. They put the Chrono on its side and once upside down. And they actually got more consistent readings. My theory behind why is that those chronographs read interference in light as an object passes between the nodes. Bright daylight May affect this and so by flipping it upside down you are effectively shadowing the reader so it can get a more effective read on the light interruption from the upper rails which would now be your low side if inverted. Not guaranteeing it will work but try it sometime they will read in any position but these guys by accident got it to work more consistently than its standard orientation🤷
hey just a suggestion but if your putting a slingshot in rifle form it would be pretty cool if you could make the sling shot work with pellets and crossbow bolts like some sort of sling shot crossbow amalgamation either way love the video

FOWLER.... you will need to mark those slide channels so you apply the same force everytime if you plan to ever be able to zero a scope in on that thing! 😉 thank me later.......consistency is paramount for scopes! You need to know where full draw is!

I feel like you should put support blocks inside the rear end of the aluminum tracks similar to what you did on the forward end, but only about 2 inches long.

Their all pretty much the same, the thing that makes the biggest difference is what fork you use for the rubber bands, but I have the flymars, the Mxuline. I’ve got several of the diy kits also. They all vary in power and speed. Accuracy is dependent on practice tho
If you are using black innertube rubber it is not fast acting elastic like surgical tubing. I cannot tell what you are using, but inner tubes are slow. The exercise tubes I think are fast elastic. Also You might try cat cans for a metric of penetration. Strap them together with tape or a rubber band, you would be doing well to penetrate 4 or 5 cans.
Fowler, have you ever considered making and hunting with a (David & Goliath style) sling? should tech ever break down or you be in a situation without it, though harder to aim, is very powerful. In Bulgaria a few years ago I saw a young shepherd boy disintegrate a hen's egg size rock against a boulder that was 50-60 feet away. It sounded like the rock broke the sound barrier on its way there. He'd made the sling out of twisted goats hair, some sort of macrame knot. After seeing that I knew that Goliath had been outgunned.
