Since I built that lithium battery bank I can tell a major difference in power and hardly no voltage drop , I’ll never run anything else but lithium or cmax!

@7:24 he says they're jims machineworx bars. I believe he has the economy bars, probably best deal for headway bars as he shows it comes with all the bolts you'll need. Most only provide lugs to attach your terminals and balancer screws. The economy bars from jim have those and bolts to attach cells to bars what most kits are lacking.

Man you can I’m still on stock alt but after cranking on it about 20 min my voltage starts to drop fast so that alt is a must fr ☑️♟

@@GTILOUD yeah maybe with some Grade A cells but definitely not from the grade of cells from battery hook-up I’m telling you from experience 8 of mine were bad and many more would fluctuate voltage more than normal long story short I need more power ‼️

Man I thought about skipping the top balancing part but after I thought about it I wanted my bank to be as healthy as possible so I would say yes it’s necessary!

Bulit 6 96+ ah banks and I run 384ah and never have top balance any of them there going strong. But I do agree top balance is a great idea for peace of mind

Is it absolutely necessary? No....the top balancer will eventually take care of it......but it will take time. AND YOU MUST BALANCE AT EITHER THE TOP OR THE BOTTOM OF THE VOLTAGE RANGE. Just putting them together won't do anything because of the flat charge curve. Put the balancer on, use a power supply (one with voltage and current control) and set it to your max battery voltage. For 12.8V nominal (4S) it is 14.6V for 3.65V per cell. There's no point in setting the charge current super high (even though these cells can be charged at a max of 5C/40A for each cell in parallel). The balancer works on cell differential voltage meaning the lower the difference in voltage between the cells, the lower the balancing current. If it's a 5A balancer, you will only see 5A when the cells are 1V apart....which you don't want to be doing that to begin with (putting them in parallel). You'll see some massive current if you put these low IR cells in parallel when they are 1V apart to the point where you'll be 10X the max charging rate for several seconds. So you can put them straight into series even if they are wildly apart but if you are doing series and parallel then you want to get them all within 0.1V of each other or better. If it's just four cells in series you could slap them together and let the active balancer do its thing but it will take a while. It'll get them close within 8 hours but it might take a couple days to get them perfect within the millivolt. Putting them all in parallel like in this video at 3.28V roughly will NOT balance them. Voltage does not equate to state of charge and thats what you are trying to balance. Only at 3.45V or higher (and 2.75V or lower) does voltage actually equate to state of charge in a way that is similar in every cell.
