I built a Massive Pier in Bumbly Beach | Marcel Plays RCT #6 

It rained a lot in this video for a beach episode, but I guess that's British summers for ya.

The casual murder at 7:49 is classic Marcel. The guest paid for a good time and Marcel showed them one.

As a fellow Dutch, I find that flag joke was hilarious.

I honestly forgot you could actually build out onto the beach in this scenario

9:36 I mean if I walked onto a park pier and saw fountains floating in mid-air, slightly offset from the pier, I'd be pretty impressed.

That Observation Tower is _aesthetically pleasing_

I think this is the best 'Marcel Plays' video so far. It has everything: a successful park, a cool personal challenge, casual murder, lovely scenery work, Marcel's OCD making things difficult for him, and crucially, neat RCT knowledge (Bumbly Beach's extensive construction rights).

i loved the construction rights you could buy in this scenario, how it doesn't even mention them anywhere in the scenario description, and how it isn't even necessary or beneficial to use them to beat the scenario... good old chris sawyer just left it there for anyone curious enough to check, just in case someone wanted to show off

I enjoy all of your RCT videos, but I'm really enjoying these scenario videos. It's interesting to see someone else's idea for these parks

The misalignment on the one arm was hardly noticeable. Hopefully by fixing it, you weren't giving in to....pier pressure

Imagine being someone living next to Bumbly Beach. Having witnessed your quaint amusement park turn into the Eldritch Cacophony of twisted wood, steel, and flat rides to become the most dense park in the world one year, only to see it be all torn down and made into a pier the next.

Ugh. Deleting the Big Dipper was physically painful for me. I grew up going to Geauga Lake and it reminded me of the *actual* Big Dipper they've since demolished.

8:10 I like that there are no supports. It turns the thing into a bridge.

This is my favourite of the series so far! I remember building a pier in Bumbly Beach but it was basically just a boardwalk with some shops and flat rides. Nothing as detailed and extensive as this! I especially liked the observation tower rising up through the pier. That would be a tourist attraction for sure!

I am 31 and grew up on this game. I had no idea you could buy land rights in Bumbly Beach!! I replay this scenario all the time because it's an easy scenario for me to practice my scenery game. Next time I play it it will be more interesting. Thanks!!

My favorite RCT scenarios are always the ones where you build over the water. There's always something lovely about it.

I think the left pier arm was just cursed. Misaligned, the fountains incorrect. I wouldn't dare stand on that pier.

I've always wanted to go to a boardwalk amusement park! This park you build would be a dream!

I feel like this shows one of the biggest differences between OpenRCT2 and the original games. In the original RCT1, at least, that kind of path would tank your park rating in no time flat due to guests getting lost.

Hell yeah! I love these videos. Y'all know how people do 'challenge video: difficult task'? Marcel is good at the extremely optimized style of playing this game. This is the challenge mode for him "realistic park" and I love it. It's also super inspiring to see simple but still scenic parks

Really like the variety of personal goals you have in this series. This pier turned out great though I might have changed the path type.

In the last Marcel video I watched he mentioned other RU-vidrs that make videos specifically trying to make beautiful and whimsical parks, and I was bummed thinking to myself “I don’t want to have to leave more sales channel for another kind of RCT” content. Because that kind of Contant sounds awesome, but I was only familiar with Marcels let’s break the game or find a way to Cheese It Content. so happy to have come across this series, love the content.

Love your videos and hope to see more from this series. I also wanted to say that I'm so transparently a huge fan of the blue, pink, white, pink, and blue color scheme, especially for the transport rides I use to get guests around my parks. I find it really transforms a park and I hope you do more of it in the future. Anyhow, I hope the point I'm trying to make translates well over RU-vid comment. It took me quite a while to transcribe.

I had no idea you could build onto the beach! This scenario had a lot less guest drowning than I expected considering it's entirely above water xD I can't wait for the next video in the series!

This is extremely well done!!! That is some awesome out of the box thinking on how to complete this park/scenario! If I had done this I still would have played longer and built up the rest of the park 😂 love this game

When I tried this scenario for the first time when I was a kid, I struggled a lot, couldn't really fill up the park and probably failed (can't remember exactly). When I tried this scenario couple more times, I managed to succeed, filling up most of the park. When I became adult and tried this scenario again, I became so good at this game, completely filled up the park, and even managed to expand to the beach a little bit. But in this video, Marcel took it to a whole another level and built the entire park on the beach and the ocean.

This is one of my favorite scenarios to "max out". I completely fill the mainland part and then build a massive pier as well.

One of my favorite things to do in RCT2 when little was recreating Wildwood, NJ Definitely look it up, some fantastic rides and probably best boardwalk in the world

@MarcelVos Your stuff is amazing. You have given me a lot of inspiration for my own RCT2 builds. Absolutely love the way the Observation Tower comes out of the Pier, it's an excellent aesthetic. I'm currently working on a park that's heavily inspired by Battleship Bay from Bioshock Infinite and the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and will definitely be using a Pier design like this for some of it. Out of homage to you I will be sure to give some of my rides the Rainbow coloring like you do in a number of your parks.

As a kid I literally could never beat Katie's World and I thought the other scenarios were boring, so I played Bumbly Beach infinitely because I thought the beach and city in the distance were cool. Still I never knew you could build on the beach.

In rctgo theres a newer upgraded Bumbly Beach Plus with a pier two entrances and a bit more space in the back which looks okay! Still i built worked on Big Pier Big Pier 2 and Bumbly Beach all together into three separate parks files!

An idea to make pier from bumbly beach: 1. Enter the RCT2/OPENRCT2/RCT classic If u enter the classic mode, it contains buys 2. Enter and save the bumbly beach, 3. Go to scenario Editor, (make it no money or with money) 4. Remove the path for pathable beach Well done! U unlocked ur own pier for bumbly beach!

2:17 french Netherlands. yes, the Bataafse Republiek or the Koninkrijk Holland of Napoléon. The Dutch flag is more like red than orange I think and I like it. That is one of my favorite flags, including that of France. In fact, if you turn your head a little, they look almost the same.

Whoah I never knew construction rights were a thing! Might be a cool video to explain the differences between that and buying land, if there are enough interesting quirks and differences :-P

This is absolutely amazing.

I have to wonder: Are those houses (and the road path) in Bumbly Beach part of the Urban Scenery or are they from a different sort of scenery that's only in Vanilla RCT1? Because I know you can build houses, etc. in Loopy Landscapes once you unlock the Urban Scenery but that was never a research option in the first game or its expansion. So how did the devs place down those houses and roads and did people try and make it available before Loopy Landscapes?
