i built a pastel apartment in the sims

simsie should treat herself and make a video building a home with unlimited packs, but the house has secret rooms, maybe like a secret basement, secret library, rooms in the walls, etc

The vibes of a pastel cluttered apartment sounds so appealing to me, like you don’t even know.

my favourite moments are when kayla says “that’s not very pastel pop of you” LMAO

I saw “plumbella” and “pastel” and never bought a kit so quickly

I love that instead of making a little closet for the water heater with a door for easy access, she just filled the whole room with concrete. I'm pretty sure she designed my real life apartment, because the ceilings and floors are fully concrete and my landlords can't get into the ceiling to figure out why it leaks sometimes.

I am not a huge fan of the Pastel Pop kit style irl but I’ll admit, it looks amazing in game

honestly i think this kit somehow makes some of the base game stuff nicer? like the decor in the bathroom makes me like the lime green tile

simsie, the trick to pastel and intense colours is committing to the fact that there's NEVER such thing as enough. go full out, 100% bright colours, and scale back from the finished product.

This whole apartment and especially the entry & desk part gives off intense strawberry shortcake vibes

Pastel pop colours really helps with the not so berry challenge I just restarted one and mint house is on point 🙌😂

I bought the Everyday Clutter Kit on a whim as it's more my day-to-day style, but how you put this apartment together is really adorable. I am PERSONALLY not a fan of pastel colors, but I think you pushed me to eventually buy this kit and not just completely disregard it like how I originally felt about it.

This kit could really work for a diner or a cute shop 😮

I always go for really easy white/beige/black apartments, and I feel like this kit made it really easy and fun to use more colours ☺️💜

Honestly when I play the Sims, the only household who hasn't used the bathroom sink for literally everything are the last 2 that I created. Otherwise, there could be q kitchen sink, 2 bathroom sinks, and a sink outside but they'd pick the 1 thats the MOST inconvenient

about the tiny black square window in the corner: you can cover it with plain pastel shutters to make it stand out less. and even also put something on the top of the cabinet to cover it a little.

I absolutely love this apartment. it's so cute! I'm supposed to be getting I think around 8 kits including the 2 new ones for Christmas. so maybe i will be able to get it! all i will need is city living but i could always ask for that for black friday.

To me, this pack has some good furniture I could use anywhere and good wallpapers, but some of the stuff like the bed and the tile tables and small tables, and combining all the stuff in very pastel colors, it’s like when you’re eating a cake and it’s way too sweet, almost like eating straight up sugar. The pack is good, but I simply can’t have all of the things in bright pastel colors. Honestly you’re also an inspiration for me, I’m trying to get better at building and your videos help me sometimes :]

New challenge for simsie given that she enjoyed the colour scheme of this so much: no Bs challenge (no blue, no beige, no base game, no budget)

I will say I’ve been burned out on TS4 building lately, I kind of went a little overboard during the free to play launch week doing base game stuff, but this Pastel Pop kit is amazing. I’m having way too much fun building cutesy stuff, which is weird for me because I’m more contemporary/conservative in my builds - so all the pastel pinks and aquas and mints are a nice change of pace. It really works well with the gamer HSY stuff and a lot of the weird My First Pet furniture (I finally made use of that absurd coffee table and the weird asymmetrical loveseat!!) Just want to say thanks to Plumbella for this fantastic idea, Avant Basic is a very playful and inspiring genre and it absolutely added something I wasn’t expecting back into my game - weird fun and bold furniture.

I have been building, building building with these backs, it’s been nuts! No other previous kit has given me as much pleasure as as the pastel pop and everyday clutter, it’s been so much fun!

The little window at the top of the kitchen cabinets would be so cute for a cat corner. Obviously I know that’s not functional in the game but it would be really cute!

this is a perfect early 20's appartement... it looks cute (cheap and chirpy) and the actual bones of the appartment dont matter ... some of my earlier appartments back in the day were atrocious ! but a colourful rug here, a cute painting there... it felt like home 🤷‍♀️

base game is literally hideous. i NEVER use base game like everrrrr. but obviously kayla is obsessed with it lol

Kayla I love your builds but I feel like sometimes it’s okay to use a bunch of packs because if it’s only a few items missing and if we don’t have those packs we can just replace some items. Using just a few packs at a time (like only limiting to 2-3 each time) to me makes it feel like some of your builds can be repetitive and while I still really really enjoy your content I really wish you posted more builds where you just don’t care about pack limits so that “everyone can download them” because I’m sure the average sims player does have like at least 5-10 packs installed and it feels like the people who do have lots of packs never really get builds with lots of packs incorporated And if you’re not sure maybe make a community poll asking how many packs we all have and what are the most popular ones etc so that you could do a build with a higher number of packs and they’d be packs that a lot of people have (cause let’s be honest not many people invested in my first pet stuff)

i’m just thinking like if you’re already playing in the city living world.. and using a brand new kit… why not just use whatever packs you want instead of always limiting yourself to 2-3 packs. like just make fun content instead of stressing over people downloading it. this is youtube, it’s for entertainment. the gallery is for downloads.

I think that kit would also be good for the bathroom, and kitchen. If mixed with base game kitchens and bathrooms and use items from this kit to give it some color. I really like the wallpapers and rugs the best.

Simsie I need more oh no...lets see if you could do this: idea is to challemge ypu to choose one of the ea build houses and you can only change the swatches. So no adding or deleting items inside and outside. Can you make the house look good?
