Putting this CRM into practice today. I’m TERRIBLE at following up with my friends, family, etc. I’m just NOT GOOD at keeping in touch. This will feed into my task oriented nature, and help this introvert manage his relationships/build new ones.
I remember commenting that your views/subscribers do not compensate the quality of your videos (as they’re really great), and here you are now with over 100K subs! That’s really nice🥳🥳🥳
Ooh you finally got that Notion sponsorship! That’s so awesome 😆 Thanks for the video and template, Jeff! My introverted little butt has put off making a professional CRM like this since forever ago 😂 I guess I’m just still not comfortable networking yet
I thought I was a control freak UNTIL I DISCOVERED YOU 😳 Anyways, will totally be using that CRM template edit: I discovered that I have too few people in my network to need this template. 😂 I’ll return after I connect with new people…
Thank you Chanin!! It feels great to be able to "customize" the way I track my relationships. This would definitely not have been possible like...5-6 years ago! (unless we used Excel of course)
Your videos are severely underrated Jeff! I'm currently enrolled in the nursing program at my university and networking is more than important in my field. This template is seriously a lifesaver!!
I also find it really special to mark the milestones of grief for people in my circle. For example, I'm intentional to check-in with my people 2 months after they experience a death and also on an annual basis. I have the dates on my calendar so I remember to reach out.
This is the best thing I never knew I needed! Thanks Jeff! You helped me ace my interviews, now you’re helping me keep in touch with my network. What’s next? Help me raise my (future) kids?
Excelent job Jeff. Someone very close to you like your mum or dad must be very proud of your work like I'm feeling now ;). Subscribing!!! "Abraços" from Portugal. :)
How would you implement CLIENTS database within a template based on PARA method. Should we consider them as a RESOURCE? or essentially a completely different DATABASE (like AREAS, PROJECTS, ACTIVE TASKS....)?
23:46 o'clock while scrolling through you videos to find out if you have something like this... have been creating mine for more than 1month and it is horrible :D The amount of energy you put in this notion temple is amazing and lam gonna transfer all of my notes to your template. But without checking it, wondering if you will have something like this for job application also? Thank you in advance for all of your Linkedin tips, just got a note for my how to approach recruiters. Thnx Jeff
every INFP deserves a system like this to cure his/her tender inside and lazy outside (BTW, can expect Tim Cookie's gonna send regards after this [doge])
Hahahaha can't agree more Biao 😁. And yes I've been too busy to reply to Tim Cookie but I'll get to him eventually 😉. Since my youtube members are more important hahaha
@@JeffSuI just flew from HK to Chengdu (in 7+3 quarantine now) I remembered in one of your video you are planning a trip -I thought you were doing some massive overhaul. Have you booked your ticket to Shanghai, it's bit hard to get these days
Very usefull Jeff. I've been using my own CRM template for Notion for 2 months now and is a really easy way to keep information and keep track of your contacts.
@@JeffSu a little bit more specific but pretty much the same. Jobs and positions instead of Industry, exact location and not VIP checkbox. Also, date of birth, age and next birthday with formulas. I try to update the CRM once a week or everytime something "important" happens.
I know I commented with a joke-y post, but I have to admit I used this to help me track down a job. I copied it to use as a better way to keep up with friends (which I still use), but this format helped me focus on getting my job applications in order and who I needed to speak to, and what position was open. As of this post, I signed an offer because I wasn't scrambling for who was doing what and where I applied. These tools work!
That's awesome to hear Matthew! It seems you're definitely using a great system! These tools should always help us work towards something tangible and not just be maintained for the sake of it 😁
Hi Jeff, Would you create an updated version of this video - if you have changed your setup with all the updates etc. thanks in advance. Love the videos!! 🎉🎉
Brilliant. Having worked as a database administrator for 10 years, I feel stupid for never stopping to consider a personal CRM. Thank you for your work once again!
Thanks so much for the feedback Ricardo! The best CRM is the one that works for you :). As I mentioned in this video, many of the existing apps and platforms have their own downsides that are mitigated with a custom-built one on Notion 😁. Furthermore, I've been using this myself way before the sponsorship offer came along so this has been working great for me!
@@JeffSu the logic is a tough swallow. Stay with me on this: 1 - Notion's learning curve is long, 2 - even with your template, the work involved in building the database from scratch is significant 3 - the starting point of it all is the contact list on your phone. Just sync it to a tool already available on the market (for free), and start from there. This would reduce the volume of work to a minimum 4 - when the using a tool to perform a task is more complex and time consuming than the task itself, just drop the tool and get on with the task. 5- other than this, I like the way you produce your videos. 🙂
@@ricardoOT3 Thanks for the follow up Ricardo, I totally see where you're coming from! I guess in a nutshell, someone with your current workflow isn't my target audience, and I think I need to keep that in mind as a content creator (i.e. not to try to target everyone). For example, I'm currently living in China and WeChat does not sync well with any of the existing tools, and if I were go to from iOS to Android, I wouldn't want to redo my entire CRM workflow :). For current Notion users with a Personal CRM need, I hope this template adds some sort of value! Thanks again for the feedback!
I loved this, thank you! Is there a way to change the formula for each contact? For example if you want to reach out to someone once every 2 weeks, then someone else once per month and so on. I find that when I change the formula for one of the contacts it changes for every single one. If someone could help me out with this I would really appreciate it :) Thanks!
I think the workaround here is create a few columns for different "time frames" -> for example 3 months, 1 month, 2 weeks, then create different views for those groups of people 😁
🤯 For a second there, I literally thought you were one of those humanoids I saw in Japan at the robotics museum 😂 You make me feel so inadequate for life in the 22nd century 😂
I feel like I am very poor at keeping up relationships and connections ,I'm gonna use this template so that I can become better at maintaining that. And I have a question , will you accept my LinkedIn connection request if I send you?
There is Nick and I ALMOST INCLUDED IT IN THIS VIDEO but it would have made it too long 😭. You need to export your contacts as .csv and import them into Notion
This reminds me of a dating CRM that I did on Notion back then, I was presenting it to my team and all of them just couldn't stop laughing when they saw it 🤣Looks like I've got some enhancements to do after watching your video, thanks Jeff! 😄
@@JeffSu I’ve already downloaded your template and started using it immediately. Every video I watched on your channel gave me some inspiration to improve certain areas of my life. The work you do it was very helpful to me so far. Much appreciated :)
