I started watching this video at 1pm on the first Wednesday of the month. You started talking about the apocalypse, and the air-raid sirens went off. Now my kid and I are laughing because of the perfect timing.
That looks great, you should get a few survivor type figures to add to your post apocalyptic builds. I'm sure you would have fun converting them around. 🙂
So nice of you to include me in your commentary ("we have finished cutting... we need to sand...") but you're much too modest! It was _all_ you. Lovely art skills, great end result. I shall subscribe now
Amazing build, I love it! 😮 Corrugated cardboard looks great in diorama builds when used to emulate large metal panels. It is perfect for these kind of builds where you want to give the impression that something was built from scrap. 🙂
So much to compliment, the barbed wires, the lighting, the many details, but the most I'm amazed with is the rust effect you were able to achieve! Fantastic!
Your intro about the post apocalypse is exactly how I think about it too. Now I can have a companion when the world is infested with zombies (but no food sharing, its all mine!).
This reminds me of the "Twin sisters" towers in Mad Max the video game. It's two industrial chimneys occupied by the Stank Gumb sub faction. And they were connected by a home made bridge and Zipline. Food for thought if you might make a second one. I'd love to play Fallout Wasteland Warfare on this!
I can't find a huge pencil case like you have, but I did find a 9' long, 6" wide drainpipe tube that is slowly evolving into a post-apocalyptic tower, using as many bits from my bits boxes and other junk I've found. Looking good so far, but still a way to go before I even think about painting all the sub-assemblies I've made to add to the tube. LOVE this video, as you've given me so many ideas for other things to look out for on my usual foraging trips around the local charity/discount shops 😀
That drainpipe tube sounds like a great thing to use! I bet it will come out really well - the extra details are both the most fun and tedious - so keep going with it! 😁 Thanks for your support also!
@@KendraJaneOfficial I've just been looking at my minis, and can make the left over from my drainpipe into a wizards keep for some of my many wizard figures, too 🙂 I also have a large collection of Pringles tubes that can be added to the outside areas of both builds, to add extra detail/dimension to them. Curse you, Modelling Muse Maiden, you've inspired me to go further than ever before in my creations after watching your video 😀
I like it think I might would of added a few more pieces of fabrick for door roof cover and have a jagged edge on them. Thats just my thought. Like the movie WaterWorld had on their buildings
That looks like a LOT of work. Congrats for not only making it, but making it through from start to completion. Now that's a mighty feat! It looks great & you have an awesome imagination. Also, this is the 1st video of yours that I've watched. RU-vid recommended you. I look forward to seeing more. 🙂
Love the build! But may I present a suggestion, before showing the process of you building what you said you can use a few B shots to contextualize what tools, materials youre gonna be using for the next montage that helps the rhythm of the video. Its a bit of a nit-pick but presentation it's quite important, you can interpolate a voice-over instead of a music to break that consistent pattern of talk, montage, talk, montage that all creates a better viewing experience. But overall loved the build and gonna subscribe to see your next work 😁
Thank you so much! 😊 That is a really good point and I will definitely look to implement that for next time - very much a good idea to make it more interesting 😁
This is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick! I wish I had the vision to see stuff like this for myself, but since I don't, thanks for making it so I can be inspired by your vision and then make it myself! :)
Just subscribed . Nice like your style. I've watched different you tubers thinking about taking up the hobby I was a carpenter and paint and sketch. Like your thrift store idea
Thank you! I would absolutely recommend taking the hobby up 😊 you would have a lot of the skill already and it's a really relaxing thing to do in general 😁
Thank you so much as I am in the process of producing gunslinger spawn stop motion in a post apocalyptic world I want to learn how to make this diorama backgrounds hope you make more great video
This was awesome! For some additional textures/materials, on something like this, you could maybe use cables and "white-glued" paper and bandages can give some convincing tarp and cloth-like stuffs...
Great build so many details the rust came out great, if you pull a wire brush across styrene plastic it makes great wood effect when painted up. Keep up the great builds.❤
STAY AWAY a funny painting for a place that is made to live in a community, lol. Great work honestly, i sincerely wish you the best of luck on your youtube channel, loved the accent.
That's impressive, quite nice! In any of my daydreaming of apocalyptic survival, a tower is always my go-to, and this looks pretty close. Maybe place a few radroaches, a small pack of skags, and a two headed bovine of some sort at the base? 😉 Now pop yourself a Nuka Cola Quantum for a job well done!
