This is so cool. I am a massage therapist and I just built pretty much the exact same thing, but I had no idea anyone else had done this already! I only just learned that what I was doing even had a name! Thank you for the list of different frequencies and their effects. I’ve had a hard time finding that info online. This is awesome, man.
Thanks. I built one and used 4 kickers, but found that just 2 seem to work just as well. Used 1/2 plywood and tried to make as wide as possible and used a lot 3/4 screws. You can always put some 1 “ runners across for more support. My massage table must be 1/4 wood and any pressure seemed to pop screw out when I first built and didn’t make the plywood boards wide enough to offset the pressure.
Bro this is brilliant!!! Have you noticed any healing effects from it so far? Hiw long did it take you to build this? Im thiniing of building one after your video. Im not a technical person so is this hard to do? Thank you so much for this video!
@@TobiJuanandGarthto be honest I haven’t really used it. I’be been in the middle of moving and it does take up quite a bit of space and don’t really have room for it. I’ve been doing quite a bit of meditation and visuals. Those are good too :)
Do you know how adding foam padding would affect the vibrations? If it muffles the vibes, just turn up the volume? I'm thinking about making one out of an S shaped padded lounge chair. Great job! 👍
Thank you! I purchased your whole set up:) the only things I don’t know what to get are the connectors or adapters and the splitter, can you let me know the names of those so I can purchase? So excited to get mine set up and see how it feels! Thanks again:)
I just built this weekend using the exact parts but wondering if I wired it wrong ? The sound is like song under water and vibration is very low and I have 4 of them. I didn’t think I’d hear the song just the vibration of the song.
@@JRESHOW thank you ! I got it working with the right music plus I had put a biomat on top not thinking that it’s full of crystals and blocked the vibration ha! But now I have a new issue. After playing for a few minutes the transducers suddenly stop. If I let it rest and turn the amp off and back on again the transducers resume but then stop again. I ordered ring / fork adaptors to ensure a better connection of the speaker wires to the amp. They arrive today so either it’s the connection or maybe a power draw mismatch ? I know very little about the electrical but I am learning. For the few minutes it works it is awesome! I’m hoping I can get 30 minute sessions out of it. I found this article on impact of certain scores on cells www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4960344/
@@JRESHOW thank you ! My comment disappeared or I accidentally deleted it. But I got it working! I finally figured out which music to use and also I had placed a Biomat, which is full of crystals on top and it was stifling the vibration. Now I’m having the issue where the music I selected causes the transducers to stop vibrating after a few minutes so I’m not sure if it’s a power issue or if it is my speaker speaker wires aren’t properly connecting to the amplifier so I ordered ring and for connectors and they arrive today. If I let the amplifier rest, turn it off and back on it works, but then it shuts off after a few minutes again.
@@JRESHOW also I’ve been researching the impact of sound on cells and I found this research “Exposure to Music Alters Cell Viability and Cell Motility of Human Nonauditory Cells in Culture” www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4960344/
With this and 20 Hz. The frequency range you want to use is between 30-120hz. Really don’t know how to describe how I felt. Lol just feels like vibrations.
The recommended range is 30-120hz. The amp I am using has a hard time pushing 10Hz… however a different one may work fine for the shakers but not sure… lower frequencies below 10 you can basically vibrate yourself to accomplish (in my experience). Not a pro tho, so not 100% sure.
@@Zonyo I believe it can, but when I tried to play 10hz, it would play for a second and the amp would cut out. It’s equivalent to just shaking your body. Very low vibes.
Which glue did you use? And how did screw the 4 supporting tables so you do not feel the screws on your back? I guess that massage board is pretty thin and perhaps the screws went through it?
@@Zonyo I used the thicker 4 pieces of because the table was so thin. I glued them using liquid nails, and the screws didn’t actually go into the table, so you cannot feel them. My only complaint is the liquid nails does have a smell that lingered a while.
@@JRESHOWthanks, you said in the video that you screwed the 4 tables to the bottom and I actually see the screws on each corner, so I'm confused 😕. Why did you use screws if the screws didn't actually go into the massage table?
@@Zonyomy bad, so the screws I initially used were to make sure board stayed tight on the bottom of the massage bed, while the liquid nails dried. They did penetrate the thin bottom board of the massage table slightly, but not enough that you could feel them whatsoever when laying on the table. I was planning to take them out but they only went through so minimal that it didn’t really matter. Another thing you could do is to look into a exam table, or a physical therapy bed which may have thicker wood on the bottom and then you could just screw the speakers directly to the bottom! I found one on craigslist but didn’t act soon enough to pick it up.
Ok could you possibly be thinking of the vibrations based on mindsets? Because in that case yes low thought vibrations are not good. But what he’s talking about is “atmospheric” vibrations. The different frequency of vibrations that all creation is based on.
Dayton audio 50 watts 4 ohm.. trial and error I suppose, but the will vibe best to what’s right above them. They also have 300 watt shakers, but those are probably over the top. I got links to everything I used in description. Let me know how yours turns out whatever you end up doing 🙌🏼👊🏻
@@JRESHOW Another question: if you were to play a track with music and not just frequency vibrations (look up Opus SoundBed playlist, e.g.) would your bed vibrate to everything being played? I'm wondering if I would need to add a low-pass filter so the bed would only vibrate below a certain point... or does your amp allow you to tune that?
@@JaykUS354 on the specific amp I have, no, you can’t adjust it.. but it doesn’t really matter in my opinion. You’re only going to feel the deep vibrations from like 10hz-80hz. The vibes above 80 are there but you can’t really feel them so much.
@@JRESHOW Gotcha. For context, I already had two 50W transducers hooked up to my couch for home theater. However, in that setup I'm only sending the LFE channel to the transducers. So I got the "y spltter" you used and am now mimicking your setup so when playing audio from my phone it only plays on headphones and the transducers, and not the home theater speakers (for a more private listening session)... everything seems to be working great the only problem is the transducers are playing a bit of "audio" along with lower frequencies depending on the audio track I'm playing... I'll keep messing with it but I think I might be on to a good setup and may just need to filter out the highs if possible.
