I knew Zoe Patel's house felt familiar! It's A LOT like this house. I like Zoe's house better because the bedrooms are toward the back of the house. That makes more sense layout wise rather than the kitchen and living spaces being toward the back in the sims 3 house.
Wow the vibe of this version of the house screams early 2010s. It feels very oldfashioned. You nailed the aesthetic totally! Would like to see more Sims 3 house rebuilds
@@augusto7681 Idk the colors of the rugs and couches but also how the house is shaped. The kitchen aswell. It’s all typical for how the people build houses in sims 3 in those times. But also how stuff looked in rl sometimes
Deli you taught me a thing!!! I would have never thought to do concrete floors because I feel like they just look so harsh and stark and... boting lol but putting the wood on the ceiling totally warms the room up and makes it look really cool!
Linoleum is definitely classic mid-century modern. Especially, laden with asbestos of course. lol Love the build Deli. If it weren't for watching simmers like you, I would still have no design sense. I'm still not the greatest, but I'm much better than I was before. 💜
So good to see you back in Sims 3. It wakes up so much memories! You were aboslutely unbeatable when it came to contemporary interior design! I especially remember the beach house series you did, I often come back to it just to go back into a nicer period of my life. An og fan of yours here! ❤️
I feel like you could like some of the Bauhaus Architecture from the 1920s to 1950s a lot. Architects like Mies van der Rohe or Le Corbusier seem to fit your mid century style. And they could be really fun to build in the Sims!
LOVE your build Deli. I don't do a lot of decorating with mid-century modern but you nailed it! Very cute! Now I'm tempted to go in and renovate Zoe's place.
Wow, this house is very similar to the Cacti house in Oasis Springs (To avoid completing a room, you can leave a space on the fence or wall and make this piece separately, then hold it and put it in place)
Deli I've been making up Bellas origin story in sims3. I placed her in this house and renovated it all red for her. I'm playing her as if she never married Mortimer because I always felt she deserved better. Kind of like the film changing doors. Would love to see you play her in sims3.❤
I love hearing you talk about how Australia is different than the rest of the world in terms of building codes. I'm in Canada but I'm also a storm-chaser, so April-September I'm generally in Tornado Alley. I'm used to building codes for those places while doing cleanups and rebuilds after tornadoes. I'll come home, sit in the Sims 4 and build for months of my downtime and it takes me so long because I'm thinking of building codes as well XD It blows my mind that the UK doesn't care about railing on stairs, that's a no-no here as well.
I would love to see you rebuild Agnes Crumplebottom’s TS3 house in TS4! I’ve actually done it myself a few times because I loved that house and Agnes’ story in TS3 so much! I think the bookshelves from the new Luxe kit would be perfect for the shelves in the dining room, and I would be so interested to see your take on it.
I think Sims 3 builds look so big and empty because it was the only way sims could route smoothly and access items 😅 I definitely appreciate how Sims 4 sims can squeeze through smaller spaces
Deli this is amazing!!!! Mid-century + Contemporary style fits so perfectly together, ive never realised that!! Idk this house makes me feel very "at home" ! Love u girl
Love this redo in Sims 4, mid century builds are my fav! The crumplebottom house was one of my favourite houses in Sims 3 it would be awesome if you recreate it :)
Yes! Zoe Patel and the roommates have a house like that. I madeover their house on my channel when dream home decorator came out because I love the shape of it, so unique with the atrium in the middle. My parents had a house like that in the 70/80’s they always talk about, it looked so cool even though I obviously have no memory of other than photos they showed me because I wasn’t born until the 90’s. I also vote you play sims 3 sometime.
yes!! sims 3 please!!!! also this is such a luxurious house it would be so wild irl my uni that was built in the 50s has little gardens on the inside just like this! and it was so so cool, because you could just go through a long hallway and look into them and every one of them belonged to different art classes
I am so jealous (in the best way!) of your ability to build midcentury houses!! My favorite style I just struggle so bad with it!! I will def be downloading this if you upload it! Amazing job love it!!☺️☺️
Adore this house, in style, plan, colors & decor! Not gonna lie, Sims 3 is my cheeky fave, despite some changes in S4 that were better for quality of life in building. Other details from past games that I really loved got whittled away each successive game. So I, for one, would love some departure here & there (when you are in the mood for it) to see you play some Sims 3! Hope you’re going well & loved that you guys got a wee vacay in there for some sun & outdoors. Even homebodies get out & about, on occasion. 👍🏻
Good call making it a little smaller. I didn't remember these homes being that huge and empty! Checkerboard floor ruined when the room is completely closed, roofing diferences and the fact you can't make not even a little fence if it's connecting the sidewalk's border is kinda enfuriating. That kind of things made me want to go back to TS3 for years! Crumplebottom's original home is a must! As iconic as the childhood Mortimer's house. I used to love the two shared properties near the beach, 270 Sunnyside Blvd, occupied by "Working Friends household" and the "Roomies household"'s place, at 260 Sunnyside Blvd, home of Cycl0n3 Sw0rd, lol.
I'm also obsessed with that Sims 3 house, and randomly think about it all the time! This is so exciting! I would love to see you play The Sims 3 again!
So cool to see someone be inspired by The Sims 3, after playing that game for so long. Honestly, it's my favorite game in the franchise, I'm obsessed with it and it would be really cool and nostalgic to see you play it on your channel!🥰BTW, the house looks really good!
The only thing that is missing to make this a true Mid-Century Modern home is an indoor planter. Yes, I know there is a indoor garden, but add the planter and you are all set. Love watching you build.
I would love to see you play the sims 3 because I haven't played it in so long and I'd just like to see how it was again. A refresher of sorts hehe. This definitely looks similar to the one in the sims 4
Oh man, the memories! That’s always been my favorite house too! Great build! Love to see that you created it in the sims 4 🥰 Also would love to see Agnes’s house and some sims 3 gameplay 🥰
Yes! I love the sims 3. I love it cause it has cars that you can purchase and travel. They should put cars in the sims 4 to make it more exciting. Love your creations.
Deli again, killing it with the titles. Poetry - lol awesome vid, like always. Couple of thoughts (1) You should absolutely redo the Crumplebottom house too - it's a hot mess but has some interesting ideas worth salvaging (2) would love to see the new flooring from the Modern Lux kit used as a coffered ceiling - ceiling paint is definitely still underexplored (3) forever bumping up the maximalist apartment request - hehe
*Deli, look at getting an above ground pool! So much cheaper and cost effective! They come in so many different sizes for every budget and are easy to maintain! Our 24 x 24 was the best investment!*
you just unlocked a forgotten memory with Agnes Crumplebottom's house! I used to play with it all the time. I made Agnes' daughter an heiress, who inherited her millions of simoleons after her mysterious death. She was a gorgeous seductress who was fabulously wealthy. She threw lavish parties and schmoozed with the town's most elite. Agnes' ghost often visited the lot and ruined a lot of her romantic rendezvous lol
