The fact that Lingo got down to a 43 is absolutely nuts. People are still hunting it even after claiming the AT and I can easily say why. I really enjoyed being a part of the live event! Awesome concept and unique scenery. Can't wait to see your next cotd map :)
You twitch viewers are such drones. Say the most cringe stuff and talk about being apart of something. You weren’t apart of anything. You sat at home watching another man play a game, and maybe played the map yourself
Why are you so mean? We all are just sitting home or somewhere else watching him play. And we are all a part of it because if no one would watch Wirtual then he probably wouldn’t even build these great maps. Edit: thank you for 40 likes
I don't even feel like this is a cut. It might be slightly unanticipated, but given the fact you give people such wide driving lines and that this does follow the spirit of those, it doesn't feel like a cut. It's just a really cool line.
I think it is a cut, but mostly due to Wirtual saying his goal was to make you drive on all 4 sides of the pyramid (0:37). Add in the 2 skipped transfers and the skipped wall hug and I'd say it qualifies as a cut. But I get where you're coming from. If I saw the cut in a vacuum it's possible I would have written in off as a risky route.
@@half.step. That's true. Idk how I missed that. There's still some.. disappointment? in Wirtuals demeanor when he sees the line. But yeah you're on to something here.
@@Cerulean_Frost The side "skipped" in the shortcut is already driven on tho, it is the side on which you do the first turn. So the goal is still reached, therefore I'd say it does qualify as "really cool line"
the feeling of the map is absolutely terrible at first and I totally had the same thoughts. I couldn't even do gold medal for the first maybe half hour, then I saw the lines the pros were taking and it suddenly made a bit of sense and i got down to around 46 I think
@@billymays9296 it isn't bad once you know where to go and how to drive it, the initial feeling is bad, and I think scrapie's reaction is a good proof of that
@@izimsi AT being mega hunted would mean that gold isn't expected to be easy, so "couldn't even get gold" doesn't necessarily mean that you were doing bad.
@@billymays9296 Non-top players can have on opinion on whether a map is fun or not, you know. Fuck that elitism. (Not to mention even an actual top player didn’t find it fun. To each their own, it’s fine if some people don’t like something you like.)
I'm not a trackmania player but I love watching your videos, after seeing that section where you go over the lip to keep speed I thought "you could definitely jump that"
@@rorycannon7295 Isn't the pyramid and how it was built the rabbithole we're talking about ? The King's Chamber ? The crazy maths about it ? Cause if that's what we're talking about, then I stand by my statement
4000 years ago Giza was a bustling metropolis full of colors and statues. Mustabas and markets. It was the port city for the entire fertile Nile river farmlands.
I love open maps, great job on this one, the only part I don't like it that the beginning doesn't feel like proper bob-sliding, it feels like it's a different material but I am new to Trackmania so idk, maybe I am just fooled by the color
Wirtual should upload an alternative version of this where that cut is not possible anymore. That way people with genuine will to beat the AT would have the spotlight they deserve
It would have been sick if there was the normal route and a 2nd route inside the pyramid that is slightly faster but people would still have to hunt that route to beat at
i think i genuinely got in the bottom division because my division (division 63) only had 22 people, i achieved something monumental in my first cup of the day, only it was the worst way to do it
Fun map! unfortunately, after my worst quali since starting cup of the day, the first plastic slide curve threw me across the track onto my head in the second knockout round.
In my eyes it was quite beginner friendly. I had not played trackmania before, until yesterday, and I finished the track on my 2nd attempt. It’s beginner friendly because it was easy to finish but also high skill ceiling for good players
I couldn't even finish the map for like first 5 minutes because the markings/arrows do absolutely nothing to tell you where you're supposed to go, especially when you can sometimes see the parts you've driven before and go there by mistake. 15 minutes was just enough for me to even know where I'm supposed to go.
My club access expired on the 28th and I was planning to wait until my next payday to renew. Instead, I renewed immediately to play in my first ever COTD...I also forgot to unbind my give up key
Edit: Just heard the reasoning. I agree. Ignore all points said below lol. My bad. Completely understandable and I'm not interested in doing attempts, but the requirement for stream attempts only to claim prizes really excludes a lot of people. Using myself as an example. I have a decent enough PC. It's good enough for gaming and probably streaming. The issue comes with my internet. I'm in the US but a shitty fucking area with little internet access. My speeds are 16 down .75 up? Impossible for streaming anything other than a slide show or 144p blurry mess. But I can record full 1080hd, 120fps video no problem. My point being, my internet is absolutely ass but being able to stop cheater is completely understandable. The only solution I can think of is a detailed review of the footage for signs of cheating for every video submitted, but that's way too much. Anyway. Idk. Just thoughts.
