Found this video and thought FINALLY a speed painting video that is about painting and not 90% the persons face. Then I found out this is your only painting video. Hope to see more cause both the video and paint job are great.
Best warhammer video ive seen love the style of video, music and editing, pleasure to watch. The colour scheme is great, I wanted to do jungle Tau for a while, just gotta finish all my other models first haha, thanks for the great video!
Would genuinely like to see more of the B-roll. There's some moments in the video where I couldn't quite capture what was being painted cause it moved so fast. Maybe you could release a longer version of this but maybe focus on one model?
Thanks for the feedback yeah I’ve had a few people mention the same thing, it’s something that I’ve been trying to fix in my newer videos, but I still struggle, Thanks again. 🙏
Wooow, I just love the color scheme! Its not all that bright and screaming like some paint jobs I saw in my days. I absolutely like how subtle, yet very impressive looking it is. I'm just about to return to wh and get my tau army up and running and I might make something similar.
Cheers, I’ve been working on getting the music mixed better in my later videos but because theres no talking it’s all I have to edit to haha thanks for the feedback. The new kill team looks sick.
Just discovered this vid. From the editing, both video and audio, to the beautiful craftsmanship, this is just... extraordinary. You sir, are gonna go far!
Really Cool! This is almost the same paint scheme I chose for my Tau kill team, which was my very first 40k painting project. I went with the slightly darker Lorian Green and probably didn't do as nice of a job on the details. I really like the sneaky, tactical Tau look.
Thank you! Haha that would be sick I do love the sisters too. I actually have a White Dwarf mag from 2003 with a bunch of colour schemes for the sisters. Might do something with that in the future.
Great video, I really like your style and look forward to seeing more! The only thing I feel like you could do is spend some more time lingering on the shots of you painting details, some of the cuts felt really fast. Nice work!
Thank you! I totally agree I’m still getting use to editing, I have a habit of cutting the clips short towards the end of the songs to fit it all in. I plan to go a lot more into detail in future videos thanks again.
Man!!!!! This video is unreal! Having read so many of the other comments on this video I have to agree. I have watched, like 1,000’s of painting videos and this makes it into the top 3 easily! Editing was 🔥🔥🔥 I know you took a lot of time editing this and I just want to say the end result displays that. Painting is also awesome, subscribed and hope to see more miniature painting such as this where possible. Going to watch the other videos now and drop some likes as well as sharing this with my socials, keep up the awesome work 🙏🏼
Thank you so much! I appreciate it haha yes the editing did take some time! But totally worth it, Thanks again I’m working on another Warhammer video now!
Wow these Minis look great. The painting look awesome and fits, the base building is really good and the details are well tought. Also the editing, the choose of music and the lvl of volume was very good. I think I would watch more vids of this kind. Well done my friend, keep up the good work.
So happy this popped up in my recommended! Great video, great breakdown of the process, and most importantly, awesome end result! very easy subscribe from me and hope you keep uploading :)
Im currently building my first Warhammer set, and its the tau pathfinders. Ive been really doubting myself cause i assembled everything first and its so hard to get to the chest pieces with their guns in front. I also covered every area with nuln oil before my layers. Seeing this makes the process look way simpler
@@McneillyCo i actually got a question, any tips on applying a wash over a larg flat area? Im trying to put a wash over my big recon drones top, but it came out very splotchy and uneven. I like the dirty look it gives in small corners and panel lines, but its really tricky to get it consistent over this big flat area
@@lilbigmike8945 I usually try not to use washes over big surfaces, I like to drop mine only into the recesses, but even then I always have spill overs and just clean them up with the pervious paint colour watered down for a smooth coat, another thing is when applying the wash is to really watch it and move into the areas you want as it’s drying, still probably will need to be cleaned up after. Hope that’s helps. Good luck!
Thank you! Yeah I’ve had a few comments of people suggesting that need some longer shots, and I totally agree working on another one now! Thanks again.
Beautiful paint job! And it's a really good first video! Though I would really have enjoyed a few longer shots of the painting process so one could se your technique a bit better! (some shots felt like they were only a couple of frames) Maybe zooming in a bit would also add the visability of what you're doing! Overall though, really nice! I hope you keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback! And I totally agree I should have used more footage of painting and less of the building and cutting. I’ll keep it in mind in future videos thanks!!
Nice colour scheme! I like the editing style and would watch more, but you could leave a bit more space between all those quick cuts to let each new shot land better.
really enjoyed this, for such a small creator you put a LOT of effort into your videos and i felt that it was super enjoyable to watch. cant wait to see more!! :P
Hahah thank you! I don’t want to sell them sorry I just have a bit of an attachment to them being my first video, but I have been looking into commission painting! I’ll let you know if I ever start taking orders! P.s new video dropping today!
@@McneillyCo Definitely let me know if you start commission painting. I've been looking for someone to assemble and paint me a beautiful Tau army. I've always wanted to play 40k but due to injurya in my hands I cant do small stuff like such. You defently have amazing skills and paint the Tau very well!!!
Your coloursceme looks aweome man. I'm gonna paint my pathfinders now and was looking for some inspiration. Very good edit and awesome detailed paintjob!
@dreamzkape Thank you! Working on another video now, also have another killteam build planned for the one after that, yeah the plants are just cheap ones aquarium plants from the dollar store cut into tiny pieces.
I’ve been mocked for washing GW plastic kits. They don’t really need it. But I still do it anyways especially after I handled them a bunch to file everything down.
