For smelter fuel...i like building dripstone lava farm, with piston conveyer belts looping in a big pattern...big enough and the cauldrons will be filled by the time they come back around. With unlimited shulkers, and a shulker loader, you can afk and fill a chest of shulkers of lava buckets...and then just use those to reload a furnace array now and then. Not quite as op as a super smelter directly fed by bamboo farm...but pretty good, and easy to to transport fuel to wherever you want to have smelters..

For the sugar cane farm I recommend using daylight sensors and bringing the pistons down, that was no sugar cane gets stuck and sugar cane does take like 20 minutes to grow anyway

Hey! Thank you for the comment and the kind words 😄 My number 1 tip for a bigennier getting into hardcore is to survive. Now that might sound really generic and obvious, but sleeping through the nights when you have less than full enchanted diamond armour is essential. Don't start trying to build crazy things until you have really good armour with protection IV etc. Then you work on getting materials, so maybe you build loads of farms like I did and then, just be careful and go round building whatever you wish :) Hope that helps!

i started hardcore yesterday after playing bedrock for years. i died to a trident 4 hours into the first try but my current hardcore world ive found a geode and a double skeleton spawner right under where i set up my mine and almost died to the skeletons when i was removing the torches to farm them.

the super smelter is fantastic but the 1x hopper speed can't keep up with the collection when running all 64 furnaces w/ stacks of 64. you can do a makeshift hopperminecart water collection system to get 4x hopperspeed just on collection. after some napkin math its comes to about a 120% increase in overall completion time

These types of video are really fun, but if you are thinking of playing some more survival, I think that another good idea would be too start a new world(or if you don't want to give up one that you have, then just "lose all your items"[place them in a safe chest]), and then spend 100 days from zero trying too see how quickly you can become powerful, building as many "farms" as fast as you can, starting off with simple ones and ending with ones that are more advanced. I think this "idea" could become more entertaining if at some point early on in the "days", you started to only rely on your farms, limiting yourself to only being able to collect and use resources that you have "farmed. Then you could use the material from these farms(like cobblestone), to advance to more difficult ones.
