The problem with putting your notches on the bottom logs is this gives the water a place to pool up and cause rot that's why the notches are usually on the log above and rolled over to sit on the log below.
Well before men had tarps sod roofs keep family's dry for hundreds of years. Although that's not how to build a sod roof the way they did in reality. Split shakes made of pine are better and then clY tiles.

I think this is a wonderful cabin build. Everything went in place well. Would you help me and inform me what the Brand Name and or Model Number of the wood burning stove is that you put into the cabin? I have seen it in other builds and I really want to purchase one. Бревна вверх пазами, это, конечно, ноу-хау. Наверно поэтому у нас даже в ракетах датчики кверху ногами ставят. Да уж. Чем бы дитя не тешилось, лишь бы оно не вешалось
I have to admire the Russian males.... They R actually men that can do things even with cheap chinese tools too!!! Hats off nobody in America wants war with Russia... I would rather hang out & help these guys.... Somebody pick out a real Russian woodsman quick so I can send some Russian woodsman a Christmas gift.... Might be expensive but I would love to give a real man in Russia a tool for Christmas. The Russian ppl are talented like Americans used to be... I think we could end wars like this permanently.
