Hey, I'm Brian Barczyk from SnakeBytesTV, AnimalBytesTV and Discovery channel's series Venom Hunters. Follow the Barczyk family and I as we share our lives as reptile breeders. Happy Saturday! Time is ticking and we are about to leave on our adventure to Florida to get Drogo! So I am happy we got the walls and tree in, which seemed to be impossible mind you! We still have to out the ceiling in, which will be a major choir now that the tree is in the way! But we had no choice because we were just running out of time and had to do things in reverse. We will work on that today and hopefully get it done by time we leave! I am sure there will be a vlog on that coming soon! Remember achieving your dreams is hard work. it takes time, energy, and sometimes tears! But its so worth it! This time next week I will be sitting in Drogo's enclosure and I will probably hardly remember the hard times it took to get ready for him. I will only think of how awesome it is to finally have an animal ambassador that I have dreamt about for years! Thanks to all of you for making this dream a reality! If you didn't follow me and you didn't support my family I could never do these amazing things. So you are all part of this and I love you all for it! Have an awesome day and I will see you tomorrow! I really cannot understand why you want to keep a sloth in such a small room. You show the reptarium as kinda private zoo. I work as zoo keeper in Germany and I can promise you this would not be possible over in Europe. You would get serious trouble with the government&vet. I always liked your stuff and I’ve been watching your videos since day one. But this is not ok! If you could provide a proper enclosure or environment for the animal with enough space it would be ok. But that is way too far away from keeping a sloth in a good way...I’m very disappoint that you’re doing that. You should stop that....

@@AquachannelDe-aquaristik Agree! I'm in the UK and this would never be allowed... I'm totally against it. It's a rushed job, not a proper habitat and all for his own pleasure not the sloths welfare. I'm astounded anyone would give Brian a sloth, he's got no experience. I really worry for that sloth!

Agree. The enclosure is clearly designed to have the sloth always on display instead of having its welfare in mind. Actually gonna dislike this one. I miss the old snakebitestv days.

He’s just in it for the money, NOT the animals welfare.poor sloth gets stuffed into a small space with no fresh air or natural lighting. Only going to be passed around like show n tell! Just to say “ oh look at me I’m so cool I got a sloth”. Sicking for sure. Poor animal has no privacy to get away

I’m sorry but surely if you’re going to promote this wonderful sloth as an animal ambassador, you should also be promoting the very best husbandry and enclosure? I understand that he is captive bred and therefore his captivity is necessary but to keep him in a 12 x 12ft room with entirely man-made surfaces and lacking natural sunlight is inherently wrong! Drogo is being removed from a far better way of life. You could have easily built him an outdoor enclosure with actual trees and natural light, and made that stuffy, unsuitable room a hide/bed area for overnight but instead Drogo is to be peered at constantly whilst living in a box..I too suffer very bad anxiety/depression and it would be my greatest wish that no other animal is put into a situation that is so obviously going to cause them to be anxious and depressed.

Removing the tree's leaves made a great improvement. The naked trunk and branches look more like what you'd find in the mid-story of a rain forest. Drogo is going to LOVE it!

And also so annoying he didn't think to just tell him not to put leaves on the tree.. like was that an after thought, because it could have saved stewart alot of time and money to just not put the leaves on.

Those branches on the tree do not look strong enough to support the weight of a sloth. I hope there are logs going from the floor to the ceiling, ropes or vines, and other forest like structures.

As a professional zookeeper in an EAZA institution I have to say that I am not impressed with the idea of keeping a sloth in this enclosure. It simply does not match the animal welfare standards we all should try to fulfill when setting up a new exibit for wild mammals in 2020 and moving forward. I wish you would stand up as the role model that you indeed are to a lot of people and postphone your sloth-dream until you can offer something more suitable.

He’s not worried about the welfare of this poor animal...he’s just being selfish and onlygetting this animal so he can get more people to come there to line his pockets! Its sicking!there is not proper ventilation or lighting in that tiny ass room..plus no privacy for this sloth to “ get away” it’s going to stress this poor animal out! This sloth will get sick and possibly die.... I also feel horrible for that poor alligator in the basement as well

I agree 100%...but am going to watch carefully a little longer to see if they take all the professional advice in here as there has been several including myself...it does partly depend on the individual sloth...but in general meh...probably lost me as well... actually tempted to report the endeavor already, but non aza accredited private zoos can unfortunately get away with a lot in the usa

Brian was being kind of rude to Stewart imo. How is it his fault that YOU didn't measure the dimensions of YOUR reptarium...? I assume you told him how tall you wanted it and that's what he did. Also why didn't you think to not have him out leaves on in the first place? What a waste of time and work for him. Idk but I would never make anything for again if you were talking trash about me to your subscribers. I know you are struggling with anxiety but do not let that make you unprofessional. Take accountability.

Omg yes!! I just commented the same thing!? Like how is it Stewarts fault that Brian didn't take the hallway into consideration? Not to mention why didn't he think to just not have leaves in the first place so he didn't have to waste Stewarts time and energy and supplies on the leaves he ripped off. Just shows he puts very little thought into the well being of his animals. I used to like Brian a lot... Not so much anymore.

@@meowmeowkittymeow could you name a single boss who doesn’t want things done quickly? Can you name any boss who doesn’t get stressed when things don’t go exactly to plan? No you can’t because that is what life is! If you know anything about conversions or any sort of building, things go wrong all the time, and guess what that causes? Stress and money! He’s got staff too, that look after the animals and of all the animals you saw in that video, did any seem like they weren’t looked after? No they didn’t, if you don’t like him then don’t watch, I’m sure he won’t mind losing 1 view on his videos :)

Nothing like exaggerating a situation! It goes it so easy, yet he kinda was putting down stewart as if he made an error before even knowing if he had a problem or not!! That tree went in extremely easy!

@@leadgindairy3709 I mean I would say so. Brian needs a reality check. So glad to see people calling him out for this. I was so annoyed when I heard him try to put the blame on Stewart. Like it's YOUR reptarium Brian. Know your measurements. Clearly he didn't plan this well at all considering he ripped off all the beautiful leaves that I'm sure took tons of time and materials to put on.

Just seemed really unprofessional and putting myself in stewarts shoes I would have been very upset. Probs would have just came and took the tree back and said f off Brian.

@Rafael Pinto oh yes if givin the room sloths do need lots of space to crawl and move around! And yes that poor animal will not be happy and suffer! Sicking he is only worried about money coming in! Just like I feel horrible for that big alligator in the basement! So sad to see👎🏼😪🤬😭🙄

Look up a sloths needs, the enclosure is perfectly fine the room needs to be 8 ft high and that room he has meets the sloths needs

Do u know that a sloth can live all of his life on the same three, coming on the ground only to poo? And they aren’t so smart, their prefrontal cortex is pretty smooth

He’s only worried about bringing money into the place! Poor sloth will suffer! No fresh air(proper ventilation),and no real natural sunlight! Poor animal will be passed around like a new toy... plus that poor alligator in the basement suffers too! Very sad to see

Don’t need to put rock in walls up as they don’t ever see that in the wild they only see trees ad plants no rock walls and should have more then one tree as they don’t stay in one tree only

They dont have to have that environmental space they were use to ,they just need loads of stuff to climb on some where to sleep up high and ye need to be fed. The room looks pretty good to theres nothing wrong. I went to america and met sloths and they had small cages but were really healthy nothing wrong with them , one of them daisy was even a momma her self . Let alone sloths live up to 15 to 20 years but one of them was !40! Years old , hes alive. It's a perfect enclosure for the sloth , all those sloths I met exept for one had little cages with 2 , 3 branches , hammocks, place to drink they were perfectly fine

WORST IDEA EVER !!! I give the poor sloth less than a month till he’s stressed out to the point where he will start to get sick both physically and mentally... he should have been left where he is coming from...he obviously loved his tree sooo much he was humping it...Brian y couldn’t u jus sponsor the sloth??? Y stress out the poor guy... he needs tall trees natural light n fresh air n that is something u can’t provide him in ur zoo...
