I Built The Lots in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape 

I love how positive lilsimsie is about her own builds, in a lot of videos she's her own worst critique. But this one is so positive an the builds are incredible! And the opportunity is amazing.

honestly, this is the best idea EA has ever made, imagine if they did this years ago and maybe willow creek lots wouldn’t look the way it did if actual sim builders built the lots.

1. i love how positive she is abt the builds. it makes me so happy seeing her so proud, and rightfully too. those builds are gorgeous. 2. am i the only one that found it so incredibly sweet that she did her research on how a lot of traditional japanese houses are set up? like it‘s so sweet, because i bet a lot of people wouldn‘ve just winged it. makes me so happy to see!

EA finally said, "Well, let's see if you can do better then!" *And she did.*

As a Japanese American I was on the verge of tears from the representation of my culture and finally making my Japanese dream home. And now come to find out my favorite Sims 4 builder built some of the lots. Don’t mind me these are tears of joy, shear blissful joy. 🇯🇵🎏🎊🎉🎎🎐🇯🇵

I currently have two version of my sim's everyday outfit, one with shoes and one without so that I can take off my shoes when I get into my house. I'm so glad it's part of the gameplay now.

i feel like this video truly showcases kayla's talent.. the lots she built are quite different than her usual style (middle-class american suburban house) but she managed to do it so well. she was still very creative with the interior designs and holy crap i'm so freaking impressed

Honestly, watching the trailer, I was like "hum...those houses look so much prettier than usual" so I'm not surprised they asked content creators to do them! :)

I’ve never been this excited for a pack. I feel like i’ll be able to connect with this pack so much because it comes from the community. We voted for snow activities, the builds are amazing because game changers got the opportunity to build them, and more. It feels like the sims team and ea took our criticism and did something great with it. I hope this pack isn’t a one time thing, i hope they will do the same things with upcoming packs. Sims 4 is starting to feel worthy of the status of being my favorite game.

I never comment on RU-vid, but I just had to compliment you on how elegant, sophisticated, thoughtful, and functional these builds are. You can really tell that you did your research both on the interior and exterior, and it really seems like you pushed yourself with these homes. In the end, you did such an amazing job and I believe these builds will really be cherished

this was one of the best ideas they had: calling real simmers to build incredible lots in the game instead of leaving the buildings empty and poorly decorated. Praying to release an update doing this with all the other worlds (and maybe calling some Brazilian simmers too lol)

I liked looking at the houses, but honestly, I was looking at Kayla being excited and happy. Seeing her so smiley and proud to be in the game warmed my heart so much. She deserves so much and I wish I could tell her how happy I feel seeing her ❤️

These builds look so nice! Congrats on the opportunity Simsie, you killed it! Without minimizing the hard work that you and the other simmers put into these builds, though, I am disappointed that EA didn't use this pack as an opportunity to collaborate with Asian simmers. I think that would have been a really cool touch and would have given some opportunities to those who know these kinds of styles more intimately in their everyday life. Editing to add in this, because I think it's important to mention: even though EA fell short in not offering a chance to Asian simmers to work on this world, I am so grateful that Kayla so obviously did such careful research into Japanese houses and how they are typically set up. It definitely shines through in her builds and I appreciate that!

And by the way, Kayla said she wanted the house to blend in with the rest of the neighborhood, but she made it look way better than the rest of the neighborhood

Omg, I just had an idea: What if you and the other RU-vidrs that collabed on this project, had a separate collab where you all build different sections of a house, and then put it all together?! Idk if this has already been done, but it'd be such a cool video to see all your different creativity packed into one house! Also for ex: someone does the shell of the house, another does exterior/landscaping, someone does interior, someone does decor; something like that :)

I know they chose Kayla and the others to build these homes because of their popularity and talent in the community, but it would have been cool to enlist some Japanese players to build or even just help guide the builds to ensure authenticity.

I'm happy for all of you and they look beautiful. I am a little sad that they didn't include any Asian simmers though, with it being inspired by Japan and all. Freezer Bunny has been making Japanese things for an age, for example. Not to take anything away from you of course, I'm glad you got the chance to do it. I just feel like with the continued skin tone issues and all, they should be at least making the effort to be inclusive.

Sims is is becoming all kinds of famous. First cowplants, then a game named after her, then Jason Dolley on her channel, then 1 Million Subs, and now this!

These builds look amaaaaazzing! I also love the detail simsie goes into when describing how she built the lots. I love building in sims, but I'm definitely an amateur at it, so I'm taking notes from this to improve my own builds!

The ‘split level’ feature is a traditional japanese Genkan, where you take your shoes off before entering the house. It shouldn’t really be in your dining room like you made it but obvs it’s just a pack, but just letting you know :)

As a person who lives in Russia, I'm SO hyped about "no shoes" in the house. Finally!!!

I'm a huge nerd for anime and had a phase as a teen when I loved everything about Japan and wanted to learn everything about it, so watching this video got me soooo excited. I loved your builds, you can really tell you spent a bunch of time researching Japanese architecture to make them feel more authentic. My favourite has to be the grandparents' home though, I particularly liked the use of platforms to shape the living area downstairs and the stone floors in the kitchen and bathrooms. Can you tell I'm really excited to build with this pack?

The mansion looks amazing. This is probably the first time I've looked at a lot and went "Woah..." I love how the garden looks...

EA's next step: Hiring simmers/modders/cc creators of colour as well as cultural/historical experts, designers, and simmers who belong to the cultures they are drawing inspiration from regardless of their popularity because while it's great to see diverse cultures represented, there's a difference between white people doing research to play with our cultures and sell things to us vs content made in collaboration with people of that culture for everyone to enjoy. Disclaimer: Kayla's builds were really cool and she put a lot of effort into them which is awesome. This is more a problem with EA prioritizing the white/eurocentric gameplay and narrative.

The platforms really helps "breaking up" really large rooms. I am looking forward to build with them
