I hear you...same for me. Way too much work to build one...I have been scouring amazon for one that I like that is ready made...and wireless...I just can't do a wired keyboard ever again!

I got the keycron K4 with the gateron blue switches and I absolutely love it. The gateron switches are a little less clickey than the cherry switches which I prefer as they are in a sweet spot for me. I really needed the number pad for work because I’m an engineer and do a lot of spreadsheets with numbers. I look forward to typing on it daily. After a year of use it is still flawless in its operation.

Great Job! Love my Keychron as well, but not man enough to solder it myself! Would love to see a video of Mac Mini, iPad, and MB Air as a total lifestyle solution... I jumped to a PC based eco-system for 8 months and after the 2nd motherboard replacement to my top tier Lenovo P1 I'm back on my 2015 MBP with an M1 Mini, iPad Air, and Macbook Air next. My goals is using my studio's 32" monitors but with a quick portability/travel option of using my iPad and MB Air screens with the Mac Mini for traveling projects. Thanks!

Very very nice video. I had no idea you were into keyboards this much. So just go a head and make this a series. Next up do the barebones Q1 with Gateron Milky Yellow or Gateron Black Ink Switches. Oh yeah, and GMK keycaps.

Im running a switch to move my keyboard and mouse between my MacBook Air (editing), and a Dell Laptop (work comp). I use the windows key as the Commnad too. what I am starting to mess up is when im on my windoows, i am hiting windows key + c/v instead of CTR+c/v. otherwise it works great, till i use the MAC as a laptop and i am not used to hiting the Command button where it is supposed to be.

i might be the only one with this opinion, but as i say under every video using this kind of music, im not a fan of it at all, i much prefer the regularly used music. as always, love the video. the mechanical keyboard part is great, you do it a lot better than non mechanical keyboard youtubers, although if you want really good linear switches, a good budget option is gateron milky yellows, a good expensive option is the gateron black ink v2. im personally not a fan of cherry mx switches, although their best linear switch is the mx blacks. overall, great job, love the video

I love mechanical keyboards. Don’t type without it. I have MX blue and brown. I’ve grown to love MX brown. I own 8 eight keyboards. 🤣🤣🤣. Clearly I’m just lazy. ** perfect sound!

What? I rarely use the built in keyboard when I’m using a laptop as my primary home computer. It’s generally plugged into a mouse/keyboard/display.

I swear I‘m trying but I do not understand this keyboard culture. Why does it have to cost like 100$£€ whatever and why does it have so much travel? Like isnt it slower to push like 10 Inches of key stroke? And this clickyness. A silent keyboard is a good keyboard. I understand that clickyness by itself is nice but let‘s say writing an essay - hell no. Keyboards need to be backlit so you can work/game in darkness, they have to be low profile and silent. That‘s a good keyboard. Edit: and the video says MacBook Air keyboard…. Like… Not like the Macbook had a perfectly fine keyboard built in. What is going on. This is way beyond first world problems LOL
