Duuuuuuuuude, if you love smart home stuff; you need to look at home assistant. Way better cross platform integration, way more powerful, less intrusive monitoring etc. By the way GREAT LOOKING TABLE!
Those casters seem interesting. I am gonna have to check them out. Look more useful than the rockler style ones that you step on to lock into place. I also feel the rockler ones just aren't beefy enough and tend to bend well before their "rated" weight load.
Timely project for me. I'm getting ready to put together the same thing based around a Harvey saw with all it's available accessories, plus the Incra LS fence system. Also have a miter station to build and a bench. It's going to be fun! Nice job sir!
The casters seem interesting but the manual lifting will get old fast as you load up the table and drawers with tools. I would likely add some sort of foot lift to activate the casters.
I have an outfeed table that would be a similar weight to yours. Are you able to lift one end of your table to raise/lower the castors? I know I can't lift mine.
Woahhhhh there's a lot of folks drinking the haterade today for some reason. Chill folks, he wanted to make a table so he made a table. Isn't that literally why we started watching his channel in the first place?
Please, my friend, do not wear gloves when using rotating machines !!! I know that the ones you wear are designed to avoid cutting your fingers, but only with static blades ( knives, handsaws, chisels,…). With a rotating machine, if the fabric of the glove is pinched by the blade it will drive your hand toward the blade instantly !!! You have so much followers that you're committed to show the right security rules, sorry ! Otherwise, congratulations for this brilliant project, that a really nice piece !🤩 Greetings from France !
@@monsieur2D the manual very clearly states it can be mounted either way, with no difference in functionality. It’s a lot easier to film the unit when it’s closer to my head.
I'm building a new outfeed table. Without drawers and putting anything in it yet, I already can't lift one end off the ground. I think those casters have a very specific use case. It is amusing they can support 800lbs, yet, you have to lift it to get them to work.
I've found a simple hydraulic car jack is the way to go if you have a solid enough table to jack up from. Obviously some pieces arent built to handle upward pressure or have access to get a car jack under it. I've come to design my larger shop tables to ensure I can jack it up and to be able to slide some kind of caster/dolly under it when need be
I built an entirely new 14' long mitre station just because I didn't like how the original and completely functional one looked. Any excuse to build something new.
I have to say you sounded like a very misinformed person (that’s the polite way of saying it) when you said that using a dado stack is more precise than using the saws that carpenters have using for hundreds of years to do the job perfectly precisely, just because you can’t use the correct tools i.e. TENON SAW I don’t think there’s any need to dis those who can.
