You can get even more chrome splashes from an object by using a repair torch on it instead of an smg.

You get more chrome splashes with an smg because you have a chance of getting one every hit.. and the smg does a lot less than the pickaxe

You need to jump and dash in the air to be able to go through a normal solid wall without it needing to be chrome.
