skorp G used cut down the best armor tier 10's like nothing (it was always WHO's FUCKING NEXT! ) 2 years later im bouncing off tier 6 lite tanks you know the one with 20mm of armor should go in and out of 6 to 8 of them lined up side by side BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOO ! not even a crit and thats if this best gun in the game can even hit the barn im behind F -wargaming
@@zippome Planned obsolescence started 100 years ago with light bulbs. Manufacturers agreed to build household light bulbs with a programmed lifespan. Following that experience, other industrialists also began the same method.
100% Agree. This game has always been greedy. They have implemented algorithms to "incentivize" players to spend money on things that will degrade 100% in a month.
@theodorefreeman I got to love the purple accounts who argue the point qith you and then take a look at the tanks they play, mostly prem. Don't get me wrong there are good players but most who brag about their stats are Seal Clubbers and premiership all the way accounts
Yes, noticed this. The Scorpion G can now miss point blank shots, repeatedly throw fully aimed shots in the ground, and deflect a shell from a light tank with a 30mm plate hit at 90 degrees to the impact. When I first had this tank it was possible to get 5,000-6,000 hit point games and five or six kills, now 3,500 and three kills is the best I see. Invisibly nerfed.
The Scorpion player got the kind of RNG I was experiencing, the kind that makes you rage quit and causes a mental breakdown, let me guess Claus you lost your CC status because you were calling out how much BS is in this game and Wargaming wasn't happy
I bet his outing of the scam artists doing stat boosting finished the situation for them, I am fully convinced WG is participating in the boosting operations, if nothing else by just providing former players accounts for use by them.
It's true, when I made some anti Wargames comments All my tanks were nerved Xp was lowered 0% success in multiplayer, Every team I was on got annihilated >5 mins I finally quit and gave up. Multiplayer has become an almost impossible feat to accomplish.
With electronics you don't need to explicitly plan for obsolescence, just use cheap parts and you can be pretty sure that some cap or diode dies. "Sorry sir, we don't produce that circuit board anymore" Happened to my display monitor after 6 years, amplifier after 5 years, kitchen appliance after 2.5 years. Most I can fix myself when it comes to simple components, but that's not so for most people.
Capacitors are one of the components most likely to die. But it's easy to see when they do, and they're also one of the easiest components to replace. Just make sure you get one that has the same capacitance, and the same _or higher_ voltage rating.
I'll tell you what I heard from the car dealership few years ago: a reputable spare parts salesman was doing a training and he was asked about the durability of the spare parts. The answer was that they have no problem making a spare part that lasts even a million kilometers, but the OEM determines how long the spare part can last. In other words, the OEM gives a time when spare part has to break down and the owner has to go to the service. The reason is simple - OEM's earns more from the spare parts than from manufacturing and selling cars
I can empathize. This is a pretty regular occurrence for me when I try to snipe from distance. To me it feels like when I log in, the game either has a win or lose setting applied, and that determines my RNG. I have gone so far as to exit the game, wait a minute and restart. Invariably, after many losses in a row with consistently horrible RNG, when I restart my win rate increases and my RNG is suddenly good.
@@harrisonwickham7426 the problem with the extended warranty they are built to last at least that long or a little longer and will break after the extended warranty runs out. That's why I stopped buying the extended warranty!
I feel his pain. I don't play premium tanks because I refuse to buy them or play with premium rounds, I'm old school lol. But I'm seeing a lot of stupid RNG in the game lately & it almost feels like I've been put on a blacklist for refusing to pump money into the game. I was in my Charioteer & a BZ-176 shot me in the tip of my barrel, marking very clear, no impact on the tank & he more or less 1 shot killed me. Yet I shoot tanks guns & I deal no damage, just keep doing critical hits. I posted a picture of this in their discord & they told me I need to learn to play better & it just infuriated how low IQ people are.
Years ago I loved my Skorpion and played it a lot. When it became obvious WG was acting like a greedy, money hungry bunch of twats I stopped playing altogether. Not worth the time, energy and frustration.
Another bait and switch was the Excelsior. When I first got mine, I felt invincible. As long as you didn't expose your side to the enemy, you were good. Even the ass had great armor. I was cleaning up on the battlefield when I first got it. Now, every shot seems to pen me. It is a slow tank, with an ok gun, so the armor was the main selling point. The armor seems to be useless now, so I don't like playing it much anymore.
When I still played WoT, the Skorpion G was sometimes hit with some kind of shadow nerf after some updates, with the shots going straight for a couple hundred meters and then, blatantly, visibly spiraling out two times out of three. This got me playing it like the old Hellcat used to be, providing close-in fire support, peeking and shooting at ranges below three hundred meters.
Wargaming might be doing the same thing with World of Warships. The premium BB West Virginia '44 was OP for the weeks of the Dockyard event, where you can grind and get it. I had massive games in it, the guns hit everything in sight and hard. Past week? Nope. The shells are spraying everywhere, I can't citadel a stationary broadside BB in 4-5 tries. The dispersion used to be tight, now it's wild. Perhaps it was just RNG. But the pattern is there, too. So idk, but I'll keep playing it and watching the dispersion.
My Scorpion has degraded to about this point as well, used to be god like gun handling, now totally unpredictable on what it does. Careful center mass fully aimed recital does not reliably hit anymore.
Everything about this game is fixed. If you don’t think the mismatch maker manipulates the gameplay you probably spent 90 dollars on a tank from these crooks. The snap feature says it all, fully aim miss badly, point at a target blindly and hit wow shows you how the game works. I also remember when it first came out and had a free rental. Ten games and all of a sudden I had ten losses in a row. The completely random 10 game losing streak. Back then I knew the mm was manipulating gameplay. The winning and losing streaks are what has me convinced of manipulation by the mismatch maker.
Streaks are the norm with MM and not the exception that they should be. By design or by flaw it's common to see streaks with single digit probability multiple times in just a few days.
for a moment forget the shots that just missed, What About the SHOTS that Vanished!! i've Never seen so many Ghost Shells!!! WG is Absolutely Ridiculous!
This is surprising as I have noticed that on a game with low % win chance by XVM, My shells will tend to miss a LOT more. On wins, not so much. And I'm not totally carrying the games, I could have reversed a lot of losses if I got normal miss %. I play same so not me.
I can attest to my Scorp doing the same thing. Hit a Nomad where I can pen literally everywhere and got 0 dmg. But most times, just miss and miss and miss.
hey Claus, when it comes to machinery, the phrase your looking for is " time stamp" the point where engineered wear points fail, and cause new machines to be purchased
Well done really great work.ive been saying this for the last two years.ha but it sounds better you shouting it out to all players. I dont spend cash anymore I just roll out in the game and proper wind everyone up.and I have great results and great fun doing this.keep up the good work thank you.
Happens to me a lot nowadays. Sometimes you can hit the eye of a needle and other times you can't even hit the barn door. I am starting to believe that when you hit your positive RNG quota, the game starts shiting on you.
Was the term you were looking for " planned obsolescence"? MTTF, mean time to failure.... MTTF - Claus, you should set that as a lyric with a backing track from the song "YMCA".
I was one of the first players to buy the tier 7 scorpion. I loved it and managed to 3 mark it. Then after a while something changed and now its just one of those tanks that feels off and I stopped playing. Just think we are being screwed over by special RNG to get us to buy other tanks
Years ago when I first started playing, my favorite tank was the M-12 Arty. (This was before the great arty nerf) I almost couldn't miss with it---many fantastic shots. All of a sudden I started missing most of my shots---it was a secret nerf. I wrote them and they would not own any kind of nerf. I was incredibly angry. I know how this guy feels.
Yes I feel rng and match making is horrible some days on this tank. I’ll have an average of 4000 combined dmg and get stuck on the losing team five games in a row. Then I get on the winning team I can’t hit a shot to save my life.
I have the Skorpion and it is probably the most frustrating "tank" to play out of all of my tanks. I have had the dispersion down to .27 and used to hit the vast majority of my shots. Lately I only hit about 55% of my shots. I don't play it much anymore unless I need some credits, so the overall hit rate in the years I have had it is 72.54% (which shows how good it really was at one time). Besides that, bounces off of lights have become a regular occurrence.
I have over 13k battles in Skorpion with 2 marks of excellence. I too have seen this degradation in my tank, the guys I play in platoons with are constantly hearing me say "they did something to my tank!". Oh and if I am shooting at russian tanks I have a model I follow: you need to shoot them 3 times before you get a pen! Not so often does this happen but I have noticed at times shooting AP, rounds flying like an APCR (velocity wise) and vice versa. There is definitely some funny business going on with these guys. Slow rounds, fast rounds (velocity manipulation of rounds), vanishing rounds (no accountability) it helps to see in replays and a lot of low rolls at inconvenient times or getting burned up like near the end of game and your team is losing big time.
I am going to show this to a platoon mate. Scorpion is his go to tank and he has been lately experiencing the same gun handling issues. I am sure his crew skills are 5+.
I had games just like this. In many tanks. Not just the Scorpion G. Round after round hit the ground for no real reason outside the target circle sometimes even. It really sucks in a slow loading tank.
All clan mates said, buy the scorpion give you lot of credit you must have it... it come to the store and I brought it. It sucks. I have similar game play what this player had. Fully aimed shots miss 75%. I was happy watching this video, made me feel better about myself as it is not me it is the tank :D. Thank you Claus!
TL-7. I have a 30% win rate in it because I can't land a shot and I can't pen (shot a Kv-5 in the side and bounced 2/4 shells). It has a 40.31 second reload for 4 shells of 360 damage. It has literally no armor and my top speed with a turbo is 53. In a bush, I have worse camo than virtually all tier 8-10 heavy tanks driving in the open somehow.
Skorpion and Grille 15 have that stupid thing: If aim reticle has a few pixels of terrain, shell is going to hit that pixels. Missing a few perfect shots is a normal day Skorpion experience. However missing that much means bad luck day.
I have the BZ 176 on my main account don't remember how I got it, maybe a box at Christmas, anyway, I've not played many battles with it, I tend to have a go on it - fail to pen every shot - rage quit - and then don't play it for a long time.
I kind of have the same problem with my Su 130 PM like the Skorpion. Got to around 82% Gunmark, but then the shots went to places where I just don't aim. I ended up putting Imrpoved Aiming on it and it got better again. But Strangely my T 103, which is a bond shop Tank hit's so many bullseye shots, without any equipment to improve the Gun
He was aiming very low in most shots. The 12.8cm kanone gun was developed on a mix of the 12.8cm barrel and a russian 122mm howitzer gun carraige hence the firing arch dropping towards the end of the shot a lot of the time.
I have the Skorpion, not the G, with 900ish battles in it the hit rate is about %55, the dispersion is .26. Before you start I know how to aim it :) What I see is a lot of what he got, the rounds just go all over or ghost round thru them. The physics of a round accelerating and going up after it's fired is a WG secret.
The distance he is at ,and the size of the reticle is expanded for that distance and the shells are all with in the circle. He is making an error that many do. When you have an elevated position and aiming down and aiming over the back track only , you have less to hit. At that distance always try and aim at the side and include the turret in your sites. He was also aiming to low consistently, rewind it and you will see. I have a 3 marked Skorp G and have had it to 100% moe and often in the top10 on na server in that tank. RNG treated him like everyone else and next game it will give him 2 pixel shots . When it comes to whining, many have the BOUNTY whining perk ! 😂
The worst game I played me and another player were taking out the other team and the rest of our team huddled together as the back and had a picnic and didn't invite us.
this is normal with all tanks these days - especially with gold rounds - I started playing a couple tanks with 395 penn HEAT and had zero dmg with all 8 shots I have loaded - I have over 350 tanks, and I am having trouble finding a tank to have fun with for some time now -
I sold my SkorpG for the same reason, tired of ghost shots and bounces. To be fair he was consistently aiming for the tracks at long distance and even gold rounds at 1100 m/s you’ll get a slight dip and lack of accuracy. Btw, I never thought that td was very accurate. The Lowe has a far better canon for example. Also, he’s only shooting gold and RNG will force push his average down by triggering miss shots. He should switch to regular ammo and close distances to win regular and tame RNG. WG doesn’t want it to be obvious that winning is only about top equipment, 6 skills tankers and all gold rounds.
If you want to buy a product that lasts, whether it's fridges, dishwashers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, look for the commercial grade products. Because businesses need products that will keep working reliably, that's what the commercial grade products are for. The consumer grade products are the ones that will break after 5-10 years or however long.
This is my experience. I had a light tank drive on my position and one shot would win the game. My shot went nowhere near where I aimed, into the track instead, POINT BLANK, and I got obliterated by arty. Such a joke.
I own Skorpion G, STRV S1 and T-56, both TDs used to have laser accurate guns, now regularly hit nothing. I regularly hit nothing with T-56 at point blank range, t-56 dipsersion feels like its double what the stats say.. I actaully started playing Lowe again, its less annoying.
These modern items have a designed failure date. VW cars 14 years, then ten crucial components fail in the same quarter of year, as if VW puts more engineering effort in meeting this exact date than in building proper vehicles which last forever and where components fail random.
Claus, I agree with you on the accuracy issue. I don't have the time or the inclination to collect data and apply stat tests. But just looking at videos it appears that there's something wrong with the accuracy of certain guns. What we should see is shots clustering around the middle of the aim circle and feathering out from there to the edge, i.e. a normal distribution (Bell curve or Gaussian distribution *). Instead I see, as was the case in your video this morning, an inverted Bell curve. Shots were clustering at the edge and feathering toward the middle. There's nothing normal about that distribution. It has been brute force manipulated rather than having a straight RND/RNG factor applied. (And for the doubters - Yes, I understand that the sample is tiny. This is a gut check call that may well be wrong and/or biased.) I understand that WG is a business and they have to make a profit. I don't even care how big a profit they make. But bait and switch, even if they tell you in the EULA contract that they reserve that right (but bury it in the legalese so you don't notice it) is unfair play - and criminal if they hadn't disclosed it in the EULA. * (I know you already understand but I should add that this is an aim circle that uses radial coordinates to mark hits so I know I was a little loose with the term "Bell Curve". I wanted to use terms that everyone is reasonably familiar with even if they are actually inaccurate in the case of gun handling.) 🤠
My scorp and SU both the same. I think its also party lag combined with slow shell velocity too though. Of course just because you buy a premium tank doesn't mean the barrel doesn't wear with age!. What you really need to do if you find the accuracy drops in your prem tanks is to sell it and buy a new one with a less worn barrel :) Actually, not even sure I should put this in print, WG may read it one day and it'll become a thing.
