This morning I called Bill Gaither on FaceTime and found him in his office. He gave me a tour of the pictures on the walls and stories behind them. Then he philosophized a bit about life, family, singing and stuff.
Donna fox in Fort Worth Texas that's exactly what I needed to hear bill about blame God always knows what I need to get me through so he led me to this interview praise God
I think Bill was adding up the dollar signs when you told him you have over 300K followers...LOL!!!. Only thing funnier was when you told him he'll probably catch the second coming on film..."Tribulation Special...No Credit Cards"! I love you soooooooo much Mark, and miss you and Michael especially. I'm going to see David next Sunday 12/4 here in Virginia. He has always been my fav...I'm sorry I just can't help it...it's those high notes. Best tenor in history. What a blessing you and all of the GVB members have been in my life. I can't begin to count the times I was feeling hopeless and lost and so far from God, and came to RU-vid and put on my Gaither Favorites playlist and listened to it over and over and over. Lemme tell you the devil hates and despises the Gaither Vocal Band...every incarnation of it...because it never fails to lift me out of my despair and let me know Jesus is still with me!!! It has literally saved my life more than once. Ummm...I wasn't sure if I should add this, but I already wrote an epistle so why not? 21 minutes is sooooo long...my attention span is maybe 5 minutes on RU-vid.. I'm surprised at you with your ADD...LOL! However, I did watch the entire thing, and the best part was at the end when you guys were talking about those "special moments" when the gates of heaven open and the Holy Spirit arrives in the room...it never fails. I have never been to a Gaither event in person, but it comes through on the videos as well. My favorite "moment" is "I Believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary posted 2012, Michael English at 2:08 when he tore the roof off the building...wow!. That video has almost 6 million views and 5 million of em are mine...well maybe a few hundred...no exaggeration. You can feel the gratitude he has, and as a prodigal PK daughter, I can relate. I've been exactly where he has. Could our God be any more wonderful? God continue to bless you and use you for His kingdom!!!!!
I am a 32 year old, and the words in this video are pure gold for not just my generation, but for the generation that follows me. Mark has been a favourite of mine for a long time now. Would love to meet all these guys once.
I smiled throughout the video. It is mind soothing to watch and hear both of you talk and especially Bill's excitement to share about what's in his room.
It's one of my life dreams to meet Mr. Gaither!! Unbelievable song writer and director of a concert! I was blown away a few years back in Abilene Tx and just last year in Houston when the vocal band was there at how Mr. Gaither directs the evening. Would love to meet Mark Lowry as well! Great humor and God given voice!!
Enjoyed the interview with Bill Gaither. Good to see you enjoying yourselves. Maggie says to give you 10 out of 10 (and Bill 9!) I was once asked if I liked Kipling but I replied that I did not know - I had never kippled.🇬🇧👋
Bill Gaither is the music Billy Graham. I love the Gaithers and I know God will call them home one day and he will know the thousands of people who came to Christ through music.
mark lowry i want to thank you for making me laugh when im down, and your ability to bring out a spiritual truth thru simplicity amazes me. its because of you that i started writing devotionals which are now going around the world! you have lifted my spirit when ive been very low. if the Lord allows, i want to meet you before i die--yes you are on my "bucket list" lol God bless you my brother. if you are ever near conyers ga (east atlanta) lunch is on me--2 old baptist boys acting crazy!
THANK YOU so much for this Mark! I love and appreciate your enduring, varied ministry for so many years...hope I'm still enjoying it when we're Bill's age!!!
Love it!! Your videos make me laugh so much, Mark. The small things (Bill's head at the bottom of the screen) are so funny!! You guys are great. Hi from N.Ireland!!
Mark, Thank You soooo much for taking us into the real life of Bill Gaither!!! I often wondered what "a day in the life" of such an established composer would be like. Bill looks and sounds great even in his own quiet office!! Wow, I feel like I just had coffee with him!! I'll be looking forward to more homecoming footage. Thank you Mark, and behave yourself!!
When I was a music director (years ago), I used to tell the choir that I would rehearse as well as we could but would not work for perfection. That way, God could have space to do His work. Great interview! lol
This was the best interview ever. I wish WISH WISH I could know Bill and Gloria. He is the nicest man I’ve ever seen. I cried at some of the wisdom he dropped in just a fun, casual conversation. I feel like if I don’t get to know him it will truly be a tragedy. I guess we need to move from the UK to Nashville. Just... I wonder if “y’all” will understand our accents 😂 God bless you, Mark, and Bill!!
I am enjoying watching these. It lifts my spirits and puts a smile on my face all day. Laughter is good like a medicine. Thank you for being real and inviting us into your life.
Mark...this is awesome! How awesome to get "Bill" on FaceTime and what a great interview! Especially all of the stories and pictures that Bill shares with you as you walk around his office. Only you could get Bill to open up, like you do! I'm working on a new speaker's platform and conference for Christian family members dealing with ADD/ADHD. I'll be in touch with your management in the near future, would love for you to come for two days, do some interviews with me, speak about your ADHD testimony as well as a concert in Toronto area. Looking at Spring 2017...so appreciate you!
you two always pull one another... really !! I am just thinking who is going to miss who more when one of you is called first. hahahaha.... such a bunch of nicest people.
Hi Mark I love you. God bless all you do. I laugh so hard at your stories and cry at Mary did you know. That is a lovely song. I used to love to sing but I can't hit the high notes anymore. I've always loved music. I had heard some of the Gaither vocal band a few years ago and love the energy and joy on everyone's faces in the videos I've seen. I was raised a Presbyterian and married a Baptist and joined his church a long time ago back in 92. I got baptized so I figured I'm covered under both ways to get baptized. I guess I'm still a Baptist I didn't move my membership. You may not have time to read this but I enjoy your funny and your message in the funny.
Hahah!! Praise YESHUA, our GOD!! Hi Mark Lowry, you & Bill Gaither are some of the most lovely creatures our Creator God gifted our planet earth with! I just saw the FaceTime video you recorded of you and Wes Hampton too! :) What a very beautiful person he and his wife are too!! If it wasn't for your videos I would never have known that Wes is a pretty gifted cook! :) I visited his website, and now I am going to order his recipe book!...so thank you Mark!! You're all such good fun-loving-very-talented-and-gifted people you all are!!! Praise the LORD!! More, more, more please? :) Peace in Christ, kena
Can you hold...please.... good one (no I can't hold, that's why I called you ! ) all your stalkers are using walkers...... good one the Jim Brady Tri.......those kids Bill calls ever one under 80 a kid " I'm gonna live till I die " - Bill for me, I hope to live till I'm raptured (and never die ! ) talked with his wife for an hour over coffee.....wonderful ! I was at a restaurant and saw an old couple (husband and wife I'm sure) sit there the whole time and never say a word....just looking around.....sad maybe she sucked the life right out of him with hen peckin' or maybe he was such a one that you could not have a conversation with 90% of what we worry about does not happen - Bill yes,,,the scripture says... do not worry it only causes harm.... worry in the heart of man causes depression...

If- BY RUDYARD KIPLING (‘Brother Square-Toes’-Rewards and Fairies) If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream-and not make dreams your master; If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’ If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!
