Had a carrier 140,000 btu once that kept blowing the wheel completely to shit, carrier than decided that the wheel was no good, so they sent one that was offset, been fine ever since, also had to change the secondary hx out because the blower exploding flattened it. I've seen alot of Goodman/Amanas break the wheels just like this trane did.
I thought the same thing. The only thing that was salvaged was the blower housing, which I would assume is the cheapest part. After labor and parts, I think a new unit would be cheaper, if not maybe, a few bucks more. Unless they don't make the whole fan part anymore.
Hello where did you get that pump sprayer ? It is awesome I would really like to get one like that it’s perfect for jobs like the one here or evaporator coil cleaning and it would take a lot of space on my truck I’m just starting out on a 2018 Chevy colorado and doing crates and 1 - Packout by Milwaukee.
Oh boy . Here we go. The video is on just simple repair thats it . Lol if the pressure was high yea sure coil clean . And uv light that's not a cheap price.
HELLO, can you pls make a video on how you made your package unit dolly or where you bought it from??. I saw you use it a while back and always thought it was a great idea!
I’ve seen a Lennox squirrel cage (blower wheel) completely shredded to bits before, the entire thing broke apart, it was pretty appalling to see! Not like this where the weld failed, like literally broken into to pieces, the unit was only about 6 months old too; manufacturer defect…I think so!
the name of your company is Quality HVAC/R...do you service commercial refrigeration ? i have only seen videos of residential hvac service so far...been subscribed a few months now
Seems to be a common thing with those American Standard/Trane plastic blower assemblies getting nasty like that. Think it’s a bad design (kind of like Rheem with their plastic inducers)?
Is the cleaner necessary? Just curious about the chemicals being washed off into the yard. Love how thorough you are though. Great resource, thanks man!
In many cases a cleaner is needed to get the coils clean. Most people will have us clean the coils every few years. If the units are washed regularly them water alone might be enough. I personally like companies that have safe chemical cleaners like Refrigeration Technologies.
When it’s used in the proper way it’s totally safe for you and your family. Cleaner is mandatory for the work to get done fast enough for him to value his time too
My god I hope Milwaukie sponsored you cause that is some very expensive stuff you have. I have been wanting the pack out stuff for a while now and have it all in my HD wish list shared with the wife. She flipped out so you know what would have been a slow painful process building my kit will now be questions anytime she see them
Nothing new here in Arizona for those tranes. Trust me dealt with worse .best thing to do is clean it up a with disaffecting spray and put a reme Halo led on it 👌 😎 💯
Need suggestions Dear HVAC friends I am doing job as HVAC Technician and get paid isn't enough for my family therefore I want to move another country so please guide me which country would be suitable for HVAC work
@@hvacknowledgechannel1621 Ontario, Canada hvac tech. We are always busy. Too hot in summer and too cold in winter. No one can get by with sub part units. Most reputable companies is will always be on the look out for competent techs. Lead/seniors are usually between 30$-40$/h. Or you can go to a epice work pay company, usually new home construction and slap out some jnstalls if you are into that sort of thing. You can make one in new home construction as long as you are ok with repetition and sub part work. Not blaming techs as they just follow the plans laid out by the builders, but lowest bidding from the companies does have consequences.
the only way to stop build up on a plastic housing is an ionizer, they are naturally negatively charged. it will be that dirty again in a couple of months. Bad design by Trane imo
Your nasal passages are clogged. I can hear it. Your having trouble breathing through your nose. See an E.N.T. doc. I too used to sound like you, until, I got Rino-Plasti Surgury to trim away inflammed nasal "TURBINATES".
When you talk about the problem you encountered at the beginning of your video it would be nice if you mention the brand of the unit it happened to. Same as you promote Viper or Milwaukee you can say something about Trane being a junk. Based on the blower plastic housing it means that the Trane unit is relatively new and already has a problem with a blower wheel. Junk means junk. I don’t have anything against you or your work. Just a personal opinion. Very overrated brand.
I would like to put my 2 cents in...Trane is overrated and overpriced junk! Go with a Goodman...economical, reliable, ez to find parts, and parts not overpriced!
