She actually understood the 'anyone could be anyone' mantra. Because Dan was playing himself, he thought everyone else was too, and therefore couldn't accept the fact that someone had acted in a disingenuous manner and therefore beat him. Tbh I think part of his refusal to accept what had happened stemmed from lack of intelligence also.

@Gold Rose Exactly. The fact that, the day after the final, Alex and his girlfriend Millie had to take him out for a three hour lunch to calm him down and apologise was ridiculous. He was stupid, end of story.

@@reg10x i liked him but he was very naive. when he said 'i'm annoyed i saved you over others'...people had suspicions about alex/kate for ages - even mairead said when she met him, and he caught on a bit himself...its his own fault if, after that, he continued to stick with that alliance instead of getting him out. it was the same with s2 - people had suspicions about sammie/james yet never seemed to act on them...you can't be annoyed if you don't and then more 'genuine' people go.

Exactly, Dan was a bad judge of character, naive and too emotional from the very beginning. I'm glad he didn't win and I hope he's learned a lesson from all of this.

I've personally been told to stop acting straight because I'm supporting the idea gays need to hide. I don't change behaviour, i seem like I'm straight at face value but if you looked closely you could tell i have a few subtle feminine/gay mannerisms but they're not in your face

Freddie drove me up the fucking wall. Too much for me, waaaay too much. Not like a 'bad' person. But I could not handle being around that kind of energy.

You choose every aspect of how you present yourself. Some people aimed to use strategy with this - there was a Welsh girl who presented as her grandfather in the hopes it would give her the advantage of sympathy from the others. I absolutely LOVED The Circle (didn't get to see season 2). If you can find it, and if you enjoy this type of reality TV (where there are some elements of reality) I strongly recommend it. Some people will drive you up the wall, others you'll really enjoy. On that tip, if you haven't seen any UK Celebrity Big Brother....wow, that is an absolute trip.

i’m pretty sure that the players can choose themselves, purely because in series 3 (currently airing) there was a disproportionate number of catfish compared to real people. i also think when you apply to be on the show, you have to do a full overview of who you want to play as.

What I like about the USA version is that family contestants and friends can't see the show until the finals. Other contestants who were blocked meet eachother for the first time as well. And Dan..😍he just invested his emotions to someone. To Kate.. it happens in real life all the time, so I feel for him. It might be only 3 weeks but still, you are in isolation..no phone no TV or newspaper. Nobody to talk to...only text..no voices. Just like Big Brother..housemates 'fall' quickly because you can't leave your temporary 'home'. It seems very hard. So don't blame Dan..it can happen to all of us . Catfishes everywhere online. Trust your gut about people..Dan ignored his gut feeling, so yea. It is a game so he should have played with his head .not his other 'head' if you know what I mean😅 Poor Lovley Dan😍 By the way..I was rooting for him to win or at least the 25.000 pounds. Loved Sian and Freddy as well🎉
