Fun fact: Paul Walker (Brian) was actually trained in CQC (Close Quarters Combat) and more or less whooped Tyreses ass in the scene they first meet and fight. I think the director made him tone it down a bit. Just reminds me of Terminator 2 when the director told Robert Patrick (Liquid Terminator)to slow down after easily catching Eddie Furlong (John Connor) in the garage.

Idk if I’m on an island or not but this one has always been my favorite. It’s got multiple different types of races, the coolest variety of cars, it’s nonstop entertainment to where you can’t breathe. I wouldn’t say it’s the best made movie but definitely most fun and enjoyable out of the franchise.

I the first F & F reaction you asked which ones were good. First 8 were great. 4-8 they really did ALL of that S*** great movie for stuntmen and the reason why other movies such as Fury Road stepped up their stunt game. 9 and 10 were over the top, still give props for 10 because they did it during the pandemic, but the first 8 in my opinion were great. I own all of them.

I actually like this movie didn't have Dom. This one plus the Tokyo Drift made the Fast & Furious seem different. It was more about the situation rather than a set of characters. Of course from the 4th onwards it was all about them becoming a family of super-secret-agents with the occasional cameo of street racing. Also it's weird how Verone never came back. He was a pretty good villain and had a real motivation to kill Brian and Roman. But I guess he probably didn't knew how to demolish a hospital with his bare hands so they didn't gave him a second chance.

Saw 2F 2F in theatres on opening night. I watched again on the DVD, rented it from blockbuster. The Turbo-Charged Prelude was dope and a good catch-up story with Brian. I did like the other characters, friends and villians. Tej (Luda) and Roman (Ty) were nice additions. Especially Roman with his snarky, angry and funny demeanor. A cooler blend of tones. The 'buddy action' thing was a nice touch. Driving scenes were on point. The Def Jam South/DTP soundtrack including the theme song, "Act a Fool" is dope AF. The post-credit sequence was fun, it looked like a video game and soon after that, Fast and Furious games were coming out. Paul Walker, Ludacris, and Tyrese did indeed become the best of friends over time. In the course of 5 films, you could see it and that was a beautiful thing. The late, great John Singleton made all kinds of movies for 20 years. Rarely is he mentioned when talking about The Fast Saga. Because he made a movie that was a good 'first' sequel and it would lead to bigger things.
