International Boxing Hall of Famer, ESPN's Timothy Bradley brings about his newest perspective on a potential lightweight unification between undefeated champions Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson. Interview by Sean Zittel.
Tim Bradley has always favorite tank 😂 This mistakes he’s speaking on isn’t new. Shakur was fighting under the network Tim Bradley works under. He was promoting his counterpart. Now that shakur isn’t under the same umbrella he can keep it real now. That’s all that’s happening here. Don’t be fooled 😁
@@l.t.1energy522 It’s not the fact that he’s saying something different it’s that at first he said Shakur would beat tank easily basically given tank no chance which is laughable honestly!! Now he’s saying that if tank catches him he might go out and he know deep down Shakur ain’t beating tank he just won’t admit it cuz he don’t like tank.
That's usually how it goes, he was getting paid to Root for anyone that's top rank, shakur is no longer at top rank. If tank and shakur were both top rank fighters, Tim would've never picked shakur to beat tank
@Brooklyn11236 they always been overate but I think dev will beat shakur because dev let his go in he slipp punches and I think he hit harder then shakur to
@@Brooklyn11236You just don't know shit like these dudes. Atleast you have an excuse cause you're a new fan. When every all time great from the last 20 years says that Shakur is great, it's safe to say they know more than you or me.
@@anthonywilliams4791 Yeah the guy who Ryan Garcia beat tf out of, the guy that Loma beat the shit out of, the guy that went life and death with and declining veteran who was also smaller than him would beat the 3 division world champion who has never even been in a close fight before 😂.
Tank can play defense and return serious heat from all postures and if you watch his last 4 knockouts you'll see it. You can only do this when you are not so worried about getting it hit. I seen him slip and counter Frank to the body and you could see Frank get on his pedal even more than he was
It's obvious,....no punches thrown. If Tank unleashes, then Shakur will have to prove he can eat those mega punches in the body and in the head. Dangerous!
Tank don’t throw punches in bunches He has really low output How tf is he gonna land on the best defensive boxer in the pros with little output How is he going to create the opening? Shakur will be in shape to do it for 12 rounds he not Martin who barely started boxing at 16….
Tank is going to win…I want to see the fight, it would be impressive if Shakur can win. Shakur admitted he was hurt to the body by Oscar Valdez and said Artem had a little power. Tank is going to touch Shakurs body, especially with Shakur trying not to get hit up top.
@@NOTOFWORKS289 Honestly I’m not sure, I see it being a little slow but intriguing at the same time. I do see Tank walking Shakur down similar to Frank, I think Shakur will be forced to let his hands go more and it’s the body shots that will lead to Tank taking over the fight. Oscar Valdez hit Shakur over 100 times so Tank will get to him, the body shots is going to open up other shots for Tank. Even on his Bicycle I just don’t see a way Shakur wins. I got Tank in 10!
Hmm...Tank is by nature a slow starter, especially if his opponent got a little power. Shakur fight will resemble the Martin fight....Tank will step to the body, Shakur's arms will drop then the cinderblocks to the head! All this before 10th round, easy check!
I CANT SEE ANYONE BEATING GERVONTA DAVIS. PEOPLE DONT TALK ENOUGH ABOUT HIS INTELLIGENCE. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS SPORT 5 DECADES AND I HAVR NEVER SEEN A FIGHTER SET TRAPS LIKE THIS GUY. HE DEDICATES THE FIRST 4 TO 5 ROUNDS SETTING THOSE TRAPS AND THEN THE EXPLOSION HAPPENS OUT OF NOWHERE. HE IS A BOXING GENIUS! 1 💪🏿
@@dillan1875😂😂😂😂😂😂 Shakur always had ZEROOOO PERCENT of beating Tank. Go watch the FULL Chihuahua Cruz fight tank reached in his bag face of a glimpse of his skills
We been trying to tell you this fit years Tim. Nope stay over there!!!! Tank been say Shakur don’t slip and yalll thought he was hating. Tank in 7 rounds by KO
Simply put, Shakur doesn’t have enough steam on his punches to keep tank off of him. There’s no way he would stand in the pocket with tank like he’s done in most of his previous fights without getting his head blasted off.
If you can see a path,, tank can see it also.. Stevenson not a counter puncher., what he does is get guys out of range and punch. That’s not counter punching.. tank is a guy that slip punches and actually counter.,. Stevenson is a range fighter .. a basic 1 2 guy. He going to be scared to punch against a guy like tank the first time tank go over top that measure jab he use.
He doesn't need to. Shakur would be wise to actually throw more punches and increase the pace vs a guy like tank. But since he fights at a slow pace, it favors tank.
Is there a bigger flip flopper in all of boxing. He was just on fight hype a few days ago saying Shakur beats Tank “EASY”. Now he can see Tank winning. Bradley blows with the wind.
@@louddd414 Shakur absolutely dominated Artem and walked him down and hurt him multiple times. He just didn’t get the stoppage. What did Bradley “see” that made him change his mind? Bradley be all over the place.
@@Chris.A.Hi agree shakur did good I just don’t like that he’s arguing with his team like he’s 26 he’s at the age where you gotta keep your head in the game there’s no room for conflict in your own team and the other team also tryna take ur head off, the one thing we all can see though is tank has the power if they do fight. So shakur can outbox tank but can he do it for all 12?
@@theOneCzar-r3m agreed. He needs to mature as a fighter and a professional. But I pick him against Tank. I think he can outbox tank because he’s so defensively sound it’s almost impossible to hit him. Now will the judges give him the rounds? That’s the question.
@@Chris.A.Hit's two southpaw's, so the angles are different. Not only that, tank will cut that ring. Shakur hasn't shown to be able to deal with a fast, accurate powerful puncher like tank. Shakur lack of aggression when he should be pressing the fight is also questionable. There's two styles that are perfect to beat shakur. That's a boxer puncher like tank (complete fighter) and pitbull cruz (slugger/ pressure style). These styles will force the fight out of shakur.
Good work, Sean. I followed you on Fight Hype, and I'm following you now. Much success. I know you're going to do wonderful things. With that said, I think you should make the name of the person getting interviewed bigger. It's extremely small, and I initially thought it was just from RU-vid. Peace and much success.
Sean with all do respect Tim Bradley is Mr Flip Flop ..on espn he says one thing then off air he says something else he is the only boxer/ critic who said shakur would beat tank easily?! lol really?!! Shakur is the same guy he was in the last boring low punch output bout …his personal issues with boxers blocks him from being totally honest shakur hasn’t changed why switch up now Tim? C’mon Timothy stay consistent with your takes nothing has changed btn the fighters only Tim’s take
I actually think that makes Tim Bradley more polarizing and interesting, he shows a human side, instead of a talking figurehead. We all have our innate biases.
He knew from the start that Tank would knockout Shakur, and the reason he preferred Shakur was because he disliked Tank. Now that he has a dispute with Shakur, he is preferring Tank, which is the true him.
TANK 🆚 SHAKUR -SHAKUR WILL WIN "ONLY IF" HE STAYS IN THE POCKET AND KEEPS LETTING HIS HANDS GO MORE THAN HE DOES AND COMBINES DEFENSE +OFFENCE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY SHAKUR WONT LET HIS STAY IN THE POCKET AGAINST HARD HITTING GUY LIKE TANK AND WILL BE MOVING AROUND AND TANK WILL CLIP HIM WHILE HE IS RUNNING.
Coach Kenny just called him 50% man 😂😂dawg he’s either one way or another.. plays the fence too much … and being unbiased and playing the fence are two different things
Tank and Shakur really my guys… but it’s hard to see Shakur staying perfect for 12 rounds without getting hit, not exchanging, not making Tank fight off the back foot kinda like what Cruz did and Tank still showed he’s an elite boxer WITH ONE HAND smh that’s impossible! With Tank you have to have some type of power so he can respect you in there… still one of the best and biggest fights in boxing history!
Nothing is wrong with having an opinion and then you see something that caused you to change it. If you love boxing for boxing you will always be paying attention to the possibilities regardless to who you support or want to win. You wanting your guy to win doesn’t change the reality of what is very possible when you have an open analytical mind. Tim is more about being right than he is about picking a side. He simply don’t want to be wrong when he calls a fight because people actually listen to him, and very often he is spot on.
Shakur uses his feet to keep distance better than anybody else but he tends to move straight backward with his head on the centerline and his hands somewhat low. Tim Bradley is actually right - he's susceptible to Tank's right but the finisher could very well be Tank's gazelle hook that he used on Barrios. Shakur gets away with moving straight backward to establish distance because his reflexes are usually a lot faster than his opposition. He's not going to have that advantage against Tank. Tank has very fast feet as well. If he bites on a feint and moves backward, he might find himself getting gazelle hooked before he can get his feet planted...and with the level of caution that Shakur shows with big punchers, he's almost certainly going to bite on those feints.
