At about 5:00, that relic is called a pencil drill. It is fairly common in the Ohio/KY/TN area. The shiny glob of material looks like an ash of some sort. It's hard to tell through the picture.
We finding em 10-15 ft deep here in middle TN. Occupational layers from early archaic camps can be anywhere from a few feet to 15 feet down. Hard to get that deep in the first place!
At 4:10 that is I believe Coprolite.🤣 a ancient terd. And tell Amanda she is never going to get her Kodak moment wearing a Polaroid shirt. 😂😂 Great video. Congratulations on the awesome finds
The odd thing that's flaking off when rubbing could be pine sap glue that was not used and discarded. They used it to attach points on shafts. There's a couple videos of people demonstrating how they used it. Thanks for sharing.
Would the tip found at 5:50 complete the broken base on the truck bed that you touch at 10:11? Looks to be of similar material with a similar break and about the right size.
Two quick questions! 1. Does your sifting screen have 1/4 inch openings? 2. Is it possible with the tripod to set up two different sifting screens the dirt would need to fall through? For example, if I had 2 screens one with 1/4 inch openings and one with 1/8 inch openings, is there a way to hang both so that the dirt gets set on the 1/4 inch opening one and falls through to the 1/8 inch one, and then falls through to the tarp? Thanks!!! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
That weird looking thing you found it’s not pine sap glue, it’s called effigy and I really hope you keep it because it’s very rare and very very valuable ballpark figure from my research 50,000$ no bullshit take it to museum get it looked at make Sure they know their shit!! Congratulations on the find
Always fun finding artifacts of any kind, the best part is having the wife and kids that enjoy the same passion. Thieves steal any time, any place.. and strangely enough... anything!
It seems like there would have been arrowheads laying all over the ground everywhere with as many as y’all find in one spot… lol but a couple inches of dirt takes a long time to build up too… It’s mind boggling to think about really… Bigfoot scat for sure! 😂🤣
They need to pass a law the first time someone gets cought stealing chop off the right hand second time they do it chop off the leaft hand and the third time they steal off with the head we wouldn't have any more thieves in just a year good old America would be back I hate people who steal hard working people's stuff or anything to
