unpopular opinion (maybeish): shots like the ones in the park are what makes your vlogs 'something else'. the quiet, the silence, the details within the big picture. I love it. (I may be reading too much into it, but that's how I feel. I still remember that shot of a leaf in one of the Hawaiian vlogs. just perfect.)
Yes. Sawyer needs to come to Puyallup and see the Washington State Fair...but only because I live there. It's one of the NINE LARGEST FAIRS in America. We'll be doing staff training there for the newspaper on Friday and we'll be in the cattle run parade.
I really love the shots where there isn't music, where there's just the somewhat-peaceful background noise of wherever you are. I feel like it immerses me in the place you're filming. Just a thought, love you Sawyer!
i love this vlog, its a lot different than all the other ones. its nice to see a little change in pace. & im glad to see your still playing the guitar :) id love to see a cover someday!
The drone shot of the basketball courts at the beginning was strangely satisfying. I rewound it and watched that part a few times. I'm honestly perplexed as why I'm fascinated with it, now.
Can't wait t see your Portland vlogs. It's weird that I've only driven through Portland about 100 times...yet I've never stopped. I'll spend time there someday...I'm just in Washington after all.
Hi sawyer!! happy to be a part of the early squad!! Also yesterday you replied to be and I can swear it made my day! So excited to see your videos to come from Oregon! Love you lots! Love always, Sydney❤️❤️
I can't wait to see how you capture Oregon! I just caught up on the vlogs I missed while I was on vacation, and the NYC time lapses were awesome, excited to see the whole project!
Just wanted to say I love your videos you've really inspired me to break through that fear of failure and pursue my love of photography! So thank you! Keep up the awesome work
I think it's so cool to see you achieving your goals. I've been subscribed for a year or so now, and it's been amazing to see how your cinematography has developed and improved. it's also insane to realize how much has changed in my own life. watching you for a bit every day inspires me to reach for my own goals, although mine are very different from yours, so I just wanted to say thank you for being true to yourself and showing others the happiness that can be achieved if you follow your dreams and persevere towards your goals. see you tomorrow!
I really like that your videos have a bit, of more personal stuff now, as much as I enjoy the cinematographic content, but this way I think the audience is more hooked to the content because there is the personal addition!
Visit the Columbia Gorge if you want nature and have time while in Portland... lots of waterfalls, along with the famous Multnomah Falls that everyone visits. Lots of different hikes there and lots of nature.
Really loved when you cut the music for the nature clips....also shoutout to you for finishing...almost everything on the list haha have fun in Portland! :)
So Excited for you coming to Washington please have a meet up in Seattle it would be a dream to meet you please you are one of my idols, it has been amazing watching you from making challenges to doing something that makes you happy and it really shows how happy you have become and I'm so proud and excited for you having so many opportunities. Please consider doing a meet up in Seattle
I live in Portland and if you have time you have to go to Mt.Tabor park. It's an extinct Volcano in SE Portland and if you walk to the top AKA crater (takes 20 minutes) you have an amazing panorama view of the city surrounded by huge trees, would make for some incredible drone shots.
you replied to my comment yesterday, and that legitimately made my whole day. thank you for being real & radiating positivity. keep up the awesome vlogs! much love :)
Hi I love your videos and you have inspired me to want to start photography and maybe later on do slow motion videos or time lapses. What camera would you recommend. Love your videos and keep up the good work❤️❤️
Ooo if you go to Portland! You gotta try -PINE STATE BISCUITS - Kim Jong Grillin’ -SALT N STRAW -BLUE STAR DONUTS VISIT -GROTTO -MT. TABOR -All the falls!
We are known for our hikes, water falls and views, i would go to anywhere on Oneonta Trailhead. Punchbowl Falls is amazing with the waterfall at the end but rain can make hikes difficult. If you guys want a workout hike go to Angels Rest. Avoid the touristy Multnomah falls unless you want that. For Downtown: Hit up the Pearl District which is very hipster and coolish, Pioneer Square area is a nice little open area to sit and get a feel of portland, Go to Nw 23rd street in Northportland its a very hipster portland place but it is an amazing road filled with little shops and food. For Food, 10 Barrel Brewing, Tasty n Sons, Rouge Ales, Departure, Portland City Grill, Screen Door (AMAZING SOUTHERN FOOD) and Jakes. For something sweet, the cliche Voodoo donuts but i prefer Blue Star, SALT AND STRAW, PIPS DONUTS and Papa Haydn. Coffee go to Barista or Stumptown. Also make sure to visit our Food Carts which Portland is known for. I know youll have drone so important...GO TO PITTOCK MANSON and launch the drone off there, you will see Portland!! And see our BRIDGES we are bridgecity!! PS, Love your Vlogs and have fun and remember to Keep Portland Wierd.
I tweeted this to you, but just in case, consider using Backblaze for backing up those drives. It sits in system preferences working away, and they'll backup any connected USB drives, too. In my case, it covers 6tb of videos and work stuff, but it could backup everything for you. It's $5/month per machine. And no, I don't work for them, I just like the product.
Sawyer, I hope you read this: I think it would be cool if you did a drone shot BUT speed it up then slow it down to the perfect eye catching moment and then speed it up again. Anyway, something to think about! Loving the time lapses! The time lapse of you playing with the dogs is funny bc it looks like you're crazy running around!
COME TO SEATTLE IT'S LIKE PORTLAND ON STERIODS While in Portland visit Forest Park it's a huge park with beautiful streams and lots of wooded area. Also stop by VooDoo donuts best donuts in the Northwest. If you have the chance to leave the city visit Mount Hood, drone shots for days.
Early squad!! Sawyer man I love you and I love your videos! Everytime you have a video is the best part of my day and I don't think I could get through my days without your videos. Thank you for your daily videos, you're the best!
lmao after he said "im gonna go do you trust me?" I was thinking "he's not gonna go" & then wait a few seconds aaannnnddd... "i'm not gonna go" ahahahah
Omg Sawyer, something I'd definitely do if I were so lucky as to visit Portland is going down in the Shanghai tunnels!!! Looks like such a trip. You've probably heard of them, but if you haven't you should Google it. They're haunted too, so there's that. For some reason I feel like that would creep Angelique out. lol.
I was just in Oregon and sawyer if you have the time you should try and go into the Columbia river gorge, it is so beautiful and there is a lot of good footage and beautiful picture opportunities.
okay then I gotta comment for once!😁😂 haha. Im watching from Norway! i cant belive Uve been so on point with uploading and doing this like u wanted to!!!! and offcourse its so different from like the drink challanges. Im glad ur doing something U enjoy ur self!! its so important! BUT I have a lot of places u gotta visit in Norway! the Pulpit rock forinstans! its gorg! and the rock between the two mountains called "Kjerrag"
Dope vlog ! question, why are you vlogging on a 1DX you went for the over kill ! lol does it ever get to heavy for you? or do you use smaller cameras for your on the go (Aside from the ozmo you said you have)
I can't wait for the portland shots :) This is my home! Do you use your dads buddy passes since he's a pilot? I was a flight attendant for 6 years and still travel on friend's buddy passes.
Early Squad! Love the change in content Sawyer! Question: What is the steadicam that you bought for SF that doubles as a monopod with the three feet? Been looking for one like that for a minute
