Really enjoyed these yard sale finds...it was totally worth it...you know why....it’s because you are a collector...the journey or the “hunt” is part of the experience...great stuff
Exactly! The moment he brought out the boxes I felt like a kid again. I knew that I wouldn't look at them unless I was able to bring them home the way they were. Totally worth it. Thanks for the support.
I'm a shaq collector too, but I'm the opposite. I want Shaq in his Magic jersey. People who weren't around in 92 don't fully understand what it was like to pull a good Shaq rookie from a pack!
I never get lucky finding cards at garage sales never if I saw those cards my eyes would pop too also that last jeter card is worth a lot graded ….awesome deal👍
That was pure Hall of Famer gold. Barry and Chipper showed up so that makes it awesome right away. You find so many sweet die cuts!! Great find man. Have a great weekend.
Definitely worth the price. Welcome back. Cant wait to see what you will find next. I was given a collection of about 100000 cards. Sadly all early 90s stuff
I thought you had it made when I saw the gold label Jordan and Jeter rookie, then you show the 2 Kobe rookies, I'd say great deal ! Great pickup buddy !
Absolutely great deal, dealing at garage sales you always take a chance at commons or rookies and you hit it,great purchase. There's 5 cards(Kobe(2),Jordan,Chipper and Jeter rookie would fetch you $100 or higher. Great video and keep collecting love your vids man 👏👍
You did amazing on the basketball lot. I am looking for one of those Tim Duncan's to finish my set. I'm Jelly. Very nice find, but really great basketball cards.
Is it worth $100,is it ever!!! Liked seeing some vintage,"Bam" Morris had a couple really good years for the Steelers. For the time,I would have been hoping for Shawn Marion but sure can't complain about Duncan,Kobe rookies, what a find!!!
I told the guy the moment I saw him bring the boxes out I do not want to look through it because for the thrill of the hunt and as a collector its a blast going through the unknown. Thanks for watching!
Did you ask if we think it was worth $100? Seriously, I think you should go back to that guy’s house, and ask him if he would like his car washed, or his lawn mowed. Nice finds.
If u didnt really look its dumb ass luck! You can be happy about purchase, just realize your strategy is not that solid long term. And that u found another collector who had know idea what he owned and got taken for a ride .
Nice score! You missed a ton of those basketball cards that were rookies, and the Jodan Gold Label would never grade above a 6 in that condition. The upper right hand corner was pretty off and mashed. I don't understand why people say "if this was graded....". There is a LOT more into a graded card than just the way it gets pulled or looked at . To me, I would only get coins or dollar bills graded.
I have a big collection I got to bring home for free that hadn’t been opened at all since the owner had passed sometime around 2010 when the years on the cards ended and knowing absolutely nothing about sports I saw those boxes and then asked about them and another guy helping out too offered her money instantly for the entire collection and I was broke and just there to help, but because I was interested and he was obviously cutting my throat on the spot, she let me pick two boxes from like a stack of them and then I got some other things too, sports related vintage board games, a Mac pc newer even like a $1500 desktop I thought she wanted packed up and she just said nope, don’t want that either. Anyway, I am into the GPKs and Pokémon and love hyperfixating on my collections, not just cards lol, I had a bunch of junk wax era cards before that I would sit and sort through and organize and try to identify and fell in love with the hobby aspect and collecting. Finding treasures and stuff. Anyway the boxes I chose, well they’re hof and all star all topps cards randoms from 1960 up to the year the man passed away, finally realized I might have had something special starting to go through them and realizing he had the variants, opening days, short prints, serials here and there throughout and then error cards with their correct counterparts, reprints, unfortunately the Jonny bench rookie was an archive reprint? I believe? So was Willie mcovey and those two didn’t come with the actual rookies BUT so many others actually did! I’ve been going through them for months trying to figure all of this out, and be careful at the same time. I could spend days without distractions on this stuff it’s so much fun but I definitely wish I’d had more of a background in sports, mostly baseball some hockey some football. I’ve even been buying packs now, but am thinking he was buying the hobby boxes…… the man was obsessed for sure and I wish I’d been able to see what was in the other boxes Anyway these vids are helpful!
A great haul but if i was you I would consider contacting him with a gift or throw him a cash gift as u more than likely will profit considerably. Ps if I was seller u would not have gotten that for a hundred dollars....
The gold label Jordan is 340 in a psa 10 and 20-30 raw but still an awesome find and definitely I would pay 100 all day for this lot. I for sure would need to look through the box a little bit first, people should be aware that boxes that look like this can often have 0 value. The Jordans made this deal, but the box would look the same without any of the good cards in it, so I would have to look through it. Great video, I just subscribed.
Yeah I'd have paid $100 for it 👍 I got Randy Moss his first rookie card and it is signed autographed by Randy Moss I had him sign it when I met him in Huntington West Virginia at a gas station he walked up to my truck he's from West Virginia.
I'm like you, also a Collector first. I would have paid $100- for that Lot, in a heartbeat. Anything with Jordan is worthwhile and truthfully, just those alone were worth $100-. The best thing of all was that by the time you got those Cards in your vehicle and left the $100- you forked had already lost 10% of its buying power! Nice Pick Up!
@@fortheloveofitcollector I have watched you from the beginning of the 1 million card find and a few other of your finds as well! Thanks for subscribing!
I bought this blind, so I had no idea what was in there that was part of the gamble. I paid $30 for all the singles i picked out but the boxes were a mystery so $100 for everything sounded fair because it could of been all commons.
@@fortheloveofitcollector I'm still amazed by the number of people who don't know what they have especially since COVID. Less with the rise in sports card popularity, but still more than what you think. People just don't want to take the time to do the research to what they have. Great find!!

@@brucesprung6431 some sellers don't care about money. Don't forget when you sell your paying 15% to eBay, hours of time to list and research and now taxes at the end of the year if you sell more than $600.
This was bought completely blind. He knew more of what was in the box than I did considering it was his cards. It was more of a risk for me to pay the 100 and get nothing good. He could of easily asked for more knowing an idea of what he had in there but my offer was strong enough in his eyes.
@@fortheloveofitcollector you knew exactly what you were doing don’t play like that. There’s a reason YOU offered to buy blind because you didn’t want him to ask what the cards inside were worth. You wanted to “take a chance” lol
that Larry Bird is from the Iconic 1986 jordan rookie set of fleer and the 1st kobe card you showed is one of the few Kobe and Jordan on the same Card, Cards. lol. just an FYI nice find good stuff!!!
@@crabnutsmcgee6030 yea 88-89 with iconic all star card,,, idk why i put 86 clearly doesnt have the very recognizable red white and blue borders my mistake. iconic none the less tho.
@@crabnutsmcgee6030 your good, i do smush the sets together sometimes because of the all star cards. Cuz 86 just had the set and the stickers? Or maybe the had allstar cards just no MJ so i cant picture them. Lol. Either way its a bad habit of mine, most definitely. Cheers.
How much is the whole set of 1959 Topps baseball cards worth I have the whole set Mickey Mantle babe Ruth Joe DiMaggio Ted Williams Hank Aaron Ernie Banks a lot of good players in that year 1959.
I have a standing Michael Jordon 5foot tall gaderaide advertising stand up cut out I'm not sure what It should be called. Wondering if you might be interested. Can send pictures if you are plus Ihave lots of other mJ stuff. Can't remember right off hand what all.my son use to collect mj.over 20years ago.
Well then buying blind is not smart and u shouldn't do it. Getting lucky now and then is not smart way of anyone collecting or selling. And seller should have looked as to what he had before accepting offer as well. Burning those who don't know is wrong way of doing any buisness transaction.
why are people mad? you made an offer and it was accepted by the seller. The price of cards is only worth what someone will pay for them. If the seller said okay to the offer then thats what the box was worth to them.
This is the most important part of the deal, both sides have to be happy with what they are getting. Its always a bigger risk from the buyer side because you just don't know what your going to get.
I do like your videos and I hope you keep them up. You have inspired me to get back into the hobby and dust off my old cards. But i do see lots of backlash at the "lowball". On one hand I can see how it could be veiwed as you "screwed" the guy. And this idea resellers are "out to get you" is what gives resellers a bad image in all aspects of reselling. "I get it with your repeated responses of "it was a blind offer..." "It was a gamble..." but at what point should we go back and say hey your box was worth a lot more than I thought. Here is more money? Should we ever? Or is it a wash, you'll lose again sometime in the future? If you feel good with it that's all that matters I guess. Would you knowingly see there is well over $100 worth of cards and hope they don't know or realize? Obviously at that point it wasn't blind if you would. And this could happen in a setting where the original card owner was a family member that is now dead and the seller has no idea what they have. I would view that situation as pretty crappy to do even if they are ignorant, but that's only my opinion. Also on the other hand, he did sell/have it available in the garage sale. And I guess he should have known what was in the box before the agreement on price. And maybe he is just happy they are gone and out of the way. Maybe in a few years he'll regret this sale, maybe he'll never think of it again. I've looked back at old yard sales I've sold video games I WISH I still had now. On a tertiary note, maybe all the commenters upset are just jealous deep down you had such a nice haul on only $100. Again, please keep the videos coming. I do think what you're putting out if valuable to the hobby. I hope to see more.
Not jealous . just don't believe seller was original owner and didn't know what was in box . Maybe dead relative looking to move on from belongings or rid them selves of memories . While I understand blind bid if they truly had know idea karma begets you to do good gesture imo.
