The dlcs feel like a whole game each dlc has a different atmosphere lost and damned is gritty and the ballad of gay tony is colorful because of the direction of the stories of course also how the 3 protagonists are connected through missions and story they connected through characters, the diamonds and the cocaine its brilliant
@@Sh0ckVif I knew I could've taken the filter off I probably would have enjoyed it more. I did play it countless times though, I found the gritty violence more satisfying than TBoGT flashy shit
yeah it's not often character deaths upset me in these games but I actually liked Johnny and Trevor nonchalantly murdering him immediately made me hate Trevor
Yah how do they have a full DLC of him being a badass then just make him a cowardly loser for 5 mins and Trevor stomps his head in like a helpless animal.
Its in my top 3 games ever. Shenmue 1 and RDR2 others. GTA 5 with forced torture gameplay broke it for me. Because in gta you had freedom of choice, that was... No. Vomit.
@@Sh0ckV That torture mission was just all around bad. The story sucked to begin with, and it’s the most boring mission in the game next to using the cargo crane in the heist set up. You like doing yoga?
@@troymatzen that's just complete bullsht the story wasn't bad at all, it's on par with gta 4's story. lighthearted =/= bad. also, the torture mission isn't boring at all. if you found it boring, that's just you. the yoga mission isn't boring either, especially because of the dialogues. you look like you enjoy driving to the other side of the city and killing a bunch of guys for the 90th time (looking at you, gta 4).
Rockstar ruined Johnny Klebitz in GTA 5 and Brian's death was satisfying asf. I hated Trevor the moment he killed Johnny. The fact that he hated seeing Ashley as a methhead and then actually becoming a methhead himself in GTA 5 baffles me.
Agreed, from the moment it happened I knew Trevor was just going to be a goofy and "cartoonish" style psychopath, that's more funny and typical crazy than anything else. He has no real character, just silly goofy moments and extreme rage. He isn't as scary as Johnny was in TLAD and to say he went out to a character like Trevor is laughable. They should have left him alone after TLAD. Trevors biker storyline could have happened to any other biker gang and still be the same. They supplied nothing signficant to his plot than just another enemy to kill.
@@johnnycahill3363 Trevor going on a rampage killing the Lost MC is just utter BS. And they made them methheads too in order to make them even more vulnerable and pathetic 🤦♂️ . Absolutely disgraceful to TLAD. Like u said, it could have been any other gang for example the rivals of the Lost MC, Angels of Death.
@@Leon.W.Kennedy I 100% with you! Disrespect is the right word, from one of the most feared to the most pathetic and weak. Yeah any other made up biker gang or even those for sure. One's we have no estblishment with yet. I don't know why Rockstar feel the need to do this to previous protagonists. They done something similar with Victor Vance from VCS. His story by the end had him say he was going to leave the life behind after he could afford everything for his family. To which then in VC he goes back to it and dies, rendering his whole story pointless. So silly Rockstar, hopefully they learn from these mistakes.
@@johnnycahill3363 Agree with ur point. However, Johnny’s death is way more embarrassing as it happens in literally the next game. In Victor’s case, at least we already know that he dies in VC before we even play as him in VCS. I would rather a protagonist get ambushed in a deal than getting stomped to death like a pathetic rodent by a grown up baby with anger issues.
@@Leon.W.Kennedy You are right, I agree with that. Johnny's death was indeed more embarressing considering the context you mentioned. You also make a good point about Vic which is fair. At least he went out in a straight forward and more "acceptable" manner than Johnny did. Also agree with your assessment of Trevor there, LOL.
@@CognizantCheddarI loved tlad when it released, many people liked tbogt, because it added skydiving, and made the missions more extravagant/flamboyant like the style of gta v, tlad had a more gritty vibe that I liked
I always find it so stupid how johnny was such a badass character in this and then he only appears in one scene in gta v and literally gets stomped to death by trevor 😕
Rockstar did Johnny dirty in gta v. when I first time I played it I saw the cut scene and was like hey its Johnny then next minute he was dead and I was so confused.
@@STANKORachev never said GTA IV wasn't good, it's one of my favourites, just saying you play GTA IV with Johnny and he's pretty tough, then in GTA v he gets his head stomped in without putting up a challenge
Lost and the Damned is something you’ll only enjoy if you like motorcycles or heavy metal, if you don’t like either, you’ll hate it. I personally love the raunchy grittiness of the DLC.
The Reason The Lost And Damned Looks The Way Is Not Just Because Of Aesthetic See Johnny Actually Has Bad Eye Sight He Has One Bad Eye He Comments About If You Fail Air Hockey And Is Possiblely Color Blind Which Is Why Johnny Can Not See A Blue Sky Even When Its Clearly Daylight
A was just thinking about this and thought niko and Johnny's games the look to them was because they lived bleak lives and luis life isn't as bleak as there's. But if your saying eyesight then fair
All the hell Johnny Klebitz went through.....just to get curb stomped by Trevor on a bad day. Plus, pretty sure Niko killed Jason on Mr Faustin's orders. So I feel bad for whoever owned the window Johnny chucked that grenade through
You mentioned this is how you imagine Sons of Anarchy is like. Its actually very similar. Infact playing the final mission i end Billy by shooting him in the throat the way Jax did to Clay. And Jim and Johnny are just like Opie and Jax. Johnny, Terry, Clay and Ashley's appearances in gta5 made no sense to anyone. Or The Lost as a whole, by the end of the game its Terry, Clay, Johnny and Wheels(always forget wheelchair guys name, my bad) and a few npc characters. They burned the Clubhouse to end the Club, moving to Los Santos and restarting the club is just odd and terrible. Also Johnny at the end refuses to buy Ashley more coke it doesnt make sense he's back with her and shes a cokehead in LS. It should've been the Angels of Death in LS. they were a much larger club with more charters/chapters and lets be honest were kinda cool. Plus they could've done anything since we know very little about them apart from being a rival club.
@@lotuscar13 my bad. Both games i mentioned are old asl and the show is old aswell. I assumed it wouldn't be that bad since theres other people commenting spoilers.
The Ballad of Gay Tony got all the glamour of Liberty City, The Lost and Damned got the grim of Liberty City. Hence why it's my favourite between the two DLCs. TLAD had an intense story with intense characters. A shame that this age of Rockstar is long gone and likely won't return with the oversaturized and colourful GTA 5 era of gaming being as porofitable as it is, where flashy cars, bigs cities and humour outweigh the value of intense but good storytelling with complex characters and atmosphere. The good days are behind us, but at least we have what came before and we can appreciate them.
yea because the most people like this shit unfortunately.. i remember how everyone was crying that there are no plains in GTA 4 ... And they said that the story is lame... For me it was the best story by far, but the most people want a flashy fun overload story.. GTA 4 was to dark for them
@@gehtdichnichtsan2477 100% agree with this, GTA 4 brought us the harsh reality of the criminal life with a very dark atmosphere and tone. Which I loved, but it also featured characters that were interesting and had dark lore to further showcase that the criminal life is no at that glamourous and bright, with Niko human trafficking by selling them, smuggling and killing innocents for money. It was deeper than what came before and even after. GTA V's protagonists aren't so deep with their lore or personalities. GTA IV is the best one in the series by far IMO. I hope we get another like it in the future, because this new era of GTA isn't as great.
GTA5 was 'colorful' and 'oversaturized' (🤨) because it was set in Los Santos and Vinewood, i.e. Los Angeles and Hollywood. The game's tone and themes are a parody of its city's stereotypes. As every GTA game has done since Vice City.
The guy that dies in the beginning of GTA 5 doesn't sound the same, doesn't look the same, doesn't act the same .. The people who wrote that reality TV shitty plot were just losers who sabotaged their own game in so many ways tbh 💯
i bet GTA 6 will be standing for around 15 - 20 years as gta 5 has been here for around 10 years, still going strong. Hope they keep at it for years to come
"Is it just me or did that biker sound like Bill Burr?" Fun fact , yes that is Bill Burr voicing him lol..the biker is names Jason Michaels. I didn't even realize it was Bill until barely a year or 2 ago and I've been playing through this game over and over since its release. Jason is meant to be kinda the immature free spirit younger brother of the gang so its funny that he is voiced by a middle aged man whos entire shtick is being a super typical white american guy lol.
Can't wait for Ballad of Gay Tony, I remember playing that game as a kid and being like what the heck am I playing? Then went to the Lost and Damned. Makes me wish I still had my copy of it. I might need to re-buy it!
Looks like it's been so long thag jayvee totally forgot the plot of the base game. When Johnny and niko join playboy x for that h deal for example, jayvee says I wonder if you can leave via the roof but he can't. That's because that's the route you take as niko playing the same mission
I kinda hate the way Trevor killed Jhonny. When I saw that scene I was like "wait, that's it? no crazy over the top death or anything? Come on Trevor, at least I want Jhonny to die being burned alive or something to make it interesting instead of being stomped to death"
In case you didn’t catch it, when he said Jason was killed in Broker, it’s because you did a mission as niko and you were sent to kill Jason by the father of the Russian girl he was seeing
I love grey games idk why gta 4 and tlad. Nfs most wanted. I wish everything was in this tone i wish real life was in this tone. Then the grey would be beautyfull
I really didnt like the lost mc, played the first 5 missions or so really didnt spark my eye. I GREATLY enjoyed tbogt, also loved the weapons they added, the buzzard and the skydiving mechanic. Story was even better.
@@Originalchili Idk about you but Luis Running a gay nightclub along with tony, a drug junkie with anger issues really does not seem kid friendly to me. Plus who doesnt fucking love explosions? its what makes GTA actually GTA. At the end of the day its all about the persons opinion am i right.
@@laugh746 Tony also had problems with drugs (especially influenced by his parasite bf) and money. If not for Luis, Tony would lose his clubs, go bankrupt and would die in no time
Actually from the leaks of gta 6 we might see a mixture of gta 4 and rdr2 physicals as we saw from the leaks the car drove and weight to it and the running and shooting looked real, even the behavior and tactics of cops taking cover and ahooting are from gta 4. Lets hope gta 6 stays in longer devolopment till rockstar is fully ready with the masterpiece
The fact that they added all sorts of awesome heavy metal to LCHC for this add-on made it my favorite. They included great songs from some of the best metal bands ever. Entombed, Bathory, Celtic Frost, At The Gates, Deicide... if that isn't the perfect soundtrack for a biker war I don't know what is.
I suppose I'm one of the few that was fine with Johnny's death in GTA 5. From a character standpoint, it brilliantly presented Trevor right out the gate, as a scary figure with absolutely no qualms about killing anyone, no matter the status. And as for Johnny, I don't know if he was ever supposed to be a 'likeable' character, he's always been a hardhead with barely a brain. He wasn't some character to be redeemed, his end made complete sense to me, staying in his awful relationship. I'm not saying he's badly written, I'm saying he wasn't written to be a beloved character. Maybe I'm being harsh but, I think there's a reason he's probably the most forgotten protagonist in GTA.
He broke up with Ashley at the end of the story and the remaining members of the Lost MC were setting the clubhouse on fire. The portrayal of Johnny and the whole Lost MC in GTA V didn't make any sense to me. But the biggest issue is that Rockstar probably didn't even care about that. They just did it in order to introduce Trevor as a crazy and unpredictable character. Even if I think about protagonists I didn't like I wouldn't want to see them getting killed in such a pathetic way. Just imagine the reaction if they had done that to Niko. GTA IV was so much better in terms of storytelling.
@@dylanhudec979 i know bro i writed this comment 4 months ago and after that i played the game and i liked Trevor but still it was kinda dumb killing Johnny like that.
