You guys way overestimated the suns. I had twolves in 5. The suns are in my team’s division, and they were shaky all season struggling to scrape by. The twolves were solid through and through. Picking the suns is just a nostalgia trip.

The suns knew they weren’t winning a chip. They don’t have a dominant rim protector/center. Nurkic ain’t gonna do that he’s too short and doesn’t have the wingspan capable of protecting it. Getting rid of Deandre Ayton dashed their contender hopes. He was able to fight for boards, run pick and roll and even protect the rim good enough to be effective. They know they need a center that can rim protection and probably stretch the floor to make. This work. They might need to trade for some playable built wings as well. Plus, looking at it as a chess board, the timberwolves have a variety of pieces to attack, the suns have three rooks and no queen. You’ll get torn apart. Contenders as of now, thunder timberwolves, Celtics, nuggets and mavericks. Everybody else is going to fall by default (barring Milwaukee get Giannis back and he’s 100)
