@@Sakura-cy5rn i think he's referring to season 1, because in that season thorfinn isn't fully developed yet...all he thinks is revenge. While askeladd, he basically control the plot and every conflict is started by him
@@Sakura-cy5rn thorfinn in season one isn’t the best written character because he is still a kid and he feels lacking and two dimensional. That’s because it’s the prologue, he completes his development in the manga. Askelled though is written so well you can’t hate him even though he is an evil manipulative asshole. Just my opinion though
Vinland Saga is a masterpiece! Just got done watching that and another anime called, Ranking of Kings! I recommend you all watch that one next too! God tier! 🔥
@@mmallowsmallows2575 loool farmland is an easy 10/10 arc its literally widely renouned as one of the best arcs in manga. Go watch black clover or sotin
When you realise, Askeladd essentially succeeded at what Eren failed at in 139. Askeladd took out the political figure and army who threatened his homeland of Wales, as opposed to massacring 80% of all life outside of Wales. He got Canute to end the massacre by killing him (like with Mikasa) and become King and ensure Wales' safety (like with Armin). But instead of leaving Paradis' future to chance with Armin, Askeladd planned for Canute to actually gain political power and not Talk no Jutsu Wales' safety. And his dying words to Thorfinn were to go beyond where his father reached and become a true warrior, just like Eren's dying words to Armin. Bonus: he didn't go, "No! I don't want Thorfinn finding a purpose in life! I want him to be obsessed with me for another 10 years at least!" R.I.P. Lucius Artorius "Askeladd" Castus.
What's your point, the situations are completely different. Askeladd had an opportunity and he took it, what was Eren supposed to do? What kind of political figure did he have to kill to stop the attack on Paradis? Willy Tybur, by far the most important figure got killed the same way Askeladd killed the king, but it didn't matter cause everyone wants to attack Paradis, both for resources and the hatred of the Eldians, but NO ONE cares about Wales, no one wants to attack it except the king for obvious reasons. Not justifying genocide, Zeke's plan is by far the most peaceful option, but "Askeladd succeeded at what Eren failed" makes no sense cause of how different the situations are. And the bonus part was obv making fun of what Eren said about Mikasa, but it was just one line that showed Eren did have feelings, but immediately later he shows that he doesn't actually want that
I always say this episode was the best anime episode I've ever watched. It's may the best episode even I include the tv series episodes, it's on the same par with Ozymandias of Breaking Bad. This episode included everything perfectly, the best way to end a season, end a loved and hated character. I agree with you in Eren stuff, I think Askeladd is a better written character than Eren.
As you already know this is prologue. I know you mentioned you are waiting for season 2, but I’d recommend you to read the manga. The second arc is slow, but that’s the beauty of it. To truly enjoy the next arc is reading at your own pace. The dialogues are rich, and the characters involved contribute a lot to the story. First time seeing you cry lol. I’m glad that you enjoyed Vinland saga 👍.
@@saintitchief yep just wait. The manga is a masterpiece in it's own right, but the anime absolutely enhances it in everyway. The music by Yutaka Yamada. The Voice actors. The art. Season 2 is not gonna be done by WIT, instead being done by Mappa. This could mean season 2 goes downhill, but it's confirmed that the same director and animation director are working on season 2 (which are two important positions), so hopefully the entire same team will be working on season 2 aswell.
Hey saint love you bro, but I think your making a mistake by putting your best reactions at the beginning of the video, the viewer already kinda saw what they came for, so they dont really have a reason to watch the rest. But I dunno look at the analytics and decide for yourself. Just wanted to mention that. Cheers!
your reaction to askeladd beheading the king is exactly my reaction when i read it in the manga back in like october. absolutely insane moment. like, you know they're gonna kill the king, but not that askeladd is just gonna send it right then and there. i had to put the book down for a second to process what just happened lol. i said "HOLY. SHIT." out loud when i flipped to the spread showing askeladd beheading sweyn.
I'm happy to have shared live your reaction to Vinland. So as I enjoy your AoT content. Your reaction to the finale made me feel certain empathy or warmth, so I thank you for that. Keep moving forward, Saint
I didn't know that scene with lief and thorfin was a anime only addition. Amazing thing to add in, it really showed how much thorfins character relied on what he thinks his father would have thought about himtl and how much of a bridge he was on at the time. Great job WIT 🔥❤️
hahah brother I loved how genuine you reaction was truly an incredible finale I've watched a lot of reactions to this moment and yours is probably the best and most real
It doesn’t matter which studio will inherit its second arc. The same staff still does the second season. The producer and publishers will get the blame if things go wrong since they decide the staff’s work schedule.
@@claymalthus9534 only two confirmed same staff for season 2 (director and animation director), but that hopefully does mean that most of the key players in season 1 will be back. But either way a studio change is almost never a good thing.
While i hate that askeladd is dead now, we'll never see him again. I love that it creates so many huge opportunities for character development in this series.
Cry like baby dekuuu 😭. Nah I’m jp this reaction was goated Saint im glad I got to experience this journey with you, and season 2 is bout to be even more fye 🔥.
Only thing I don't like about this is they messed up Thorfinn a bit in this. He shouldn't be going with Leif when Askeladd is still alive. And his reaction to his death is way better in the manga. He has no reason to live. He isn't grieving, he lost everything and is in shock.
i agree and disagree. i think it’s important to show that thorfinn has some sort of hope as a person. as for the death i dont think he was grieving at all. came off to me like you said he lost everything and took that anger out on canute.
@@saintitchief he doesn't need hope yet. While askeladd lives he's clouded, that's the point. Also they just did it better in the manga. He's in total shock and is immobile and just makes groans and doesn't move.
@@fuaadmohamed7926 the downhill you mentioned paid off in 191. Now we wait for more tension that will arise. Just because it doesn’t have shonen battles left and right, it doesn’t mean it’s going downhill, tf?
I like how some random regular viewer of this guy is just roasting the ending of attack on titan by comparing it to vinland hahaha throughout a good bit
@@centurymemes1208 They're based for hating its ending, but Mappas animation is Goated (especially in pt2 of S4). You've just been spoiled by Wit like a lil bitch. Also, one of them was talking trash about Code Geass and that shit don't stand.
Bro how is some of the chat hating on aot. Obviously VS and AOT aren’t the exact same but they have a lot of similar good qualities, so I’m just surprised that the chat are acting like goofballs.
