Ms LaBelle, we love you sweetie....I first saw you with LaBelle in 1974, when you and your girls were on your 'Nightbirds' tour. You guys performed at the old Capitol Center in Landover, MD..just outside DC. And Mothers Finest and Tower of Power, opened for you. I'll never forget it, because you all were lowered on the stage with wire, as if you were "flying" like Night-birds. And Ive seen you a bunch of times since then. But your spirit has not changed one bit...you're just full of love, smarts and humor.
