I've never heard this song before. I actually got chills during the chorus. Why does it takes music that is almost half a century old to make me feel anything?
I can't make up my mind Someone has to help me I never seem to know what to do I just can't decide for myself She has told me in so many words that she's still in love with me And she wants me back, She wants me back with her again She said, "Why don't you come back home to me? Why don't you come back, come back where you belong? I need you here Why don't you come back home to me? Why don't you come back, come back where you belong? I want you by my side." Someone show me which way to go I need guiding in my choice Of what to do Someone has to help me She said, "Why don't you come back home to me? Why don't you come back, come back where you belong? I need you here Why don't you come back home to me? Why don't you come back, come back where you belong? I want you by my side."
I was a kid when this music came out. During those early days, I liked the Zombies better than the Beatles. But the Beatles grew into this monster of a band that changed the musical landscape, broke all the barriers & changed all the rules. They changed as you were changing too. It was an amazing ride. I have waited for the next Beatles all these years. I've kept an open heart, ears & mind about it. A band that will light up the world even if the innocence is gone. I wish it's gonna come.
i've got most of the zombies songs, but never managed to pick up this one - a very nice number that shows off thier bluesy/jazzy rock style - they were the masters of this particular genre niche (tally ho-right,righty right & all that ...)
Honesty, I go for the Zombies, not the Beatles. It is definitely the voice of Colin and the magical fingers of Rod on the keyboards. Perfect combination to create their own kind of unique music. Fell in love with the band when I was a toddler in the early 60s not even knowing their names and titles of some hits they made except SHE S NOT THERE.
just listening to this beautiful gem of a tune it has such a hollies vibe to it it sounds so similar to the gem bus stop which is by the hollies of course but still I love this gem and the others just the same peace everybody
I think The Zombies should perform this song now as I think it is current because we are all so confused at this juncture in history and we "Can't Make up our Minds". Who wrote it?
That's because you heard The Beatles first and The Zombies second, if you had grown to like them the other way around then you'd like The Beatles more.
The beatles have much more fans. Everyone has heard of the Beatles but many have not heard of The zombies. Beatles sold more records by a landslide. The zombies are a great band though no doubt.
I beg to defer, The Zombies were John Lennon's fave band. If you listen to the early Beatles, they copy the style of The Zombies. So I would not call them "Pop", if anything, it's Jazz/Rock. The Zombie's music is way more technical and complicated to play than the Beatles.
Underrated by who? Who underated this song? Did you take a survey, walk the earth and ask people if they liked this song? If not, you wouldn't have a clue as to how many people like it, and how many people don't.
So after hearing this song, I've realized that prolly Mixhael Jackson took acid while listening to this song and accidentally ripped it off to write Beat It, ahauahahahaahaha
not as good as the beatles but splendid stuff... i had troubles a long time ago to get a cd of this guys in my country... rare stuff back then. internet turns everyting more easier.
You think the Beatles copied the style of the Zombies? They copied the style of the 50's girls group. And, the Zombies music is not more technical and complicated to play than the Beatles. It's the other way around. The Beatles paved the way for groups like the Zombies. You need a music education. Next you'll be saying that Hendrix hit it big before the Beatles.
