Very nice gifts. Both of those should build into really nice models. Revell Germany kits always come in those narrow boxes, and they are taped instead of cellophane wrapped. I really love their instructions, they are the best instructions in the hobby by leaps and bounds. I have bought a few Revell Germany kits over the years, and have enjoyed building every one of them. Thanks for sharing.

"Monocoque" is "Mono-coke". Aircraft fuselages started being made that way in the 30's. Very cool kits! I have friends in Paris right now. She's celebrating her 70th birthday! Maybe I can get him to pick my up a kit while they're there. 😁 Peace and love.

Coco Rico is a brand of soda pop from Puerto Rico that's flavored with coconuts, *but* I think the name of the Citroen car is actually named in honor of the French art magazine (Cocorico).

Thanks for sharing Matthew, I enjoyed watching. You speak French like a native, haha.The Cocorico looks like it would be a fun build but the Heller kit looks like it could be a challenge, Old molds along with very thin plastic usually indicates fit issues. 👍👍

Fiscal horsepower is a rating for tax purposes. The formula is based on engine displacement rather than actual brake horsepower. Google tax horsepower for an interesting discussion. The terms for the turn signal in the door post is trafficator or semaphore signal.

The Citroen 2 CV was produced from 1948 to 1990. The Citroen 15 CV "Traction Avant" was produced from 1934 to 1957.

The 2CV is maybe a Heller kit. I have one from Airfix so is the same as that from Heller made in 1992. Mine is a Citroën 2CV DOLLY.

The Heller and Airfix 2CV Kits are the same, but the Revell kit is a newer consruction. Kind regards from northern Germany. Ralf

Another Citroen car that's interesting and a good one to accompany these two is the DS that replaced the Traction Avant, which I believe Heller also makes, although that is really old and the quality may not be the best, and I think there is a more modern DS kit from Ebbro.

Cool btw the licence plates on the 2 cv are different plates of European countries the French is the one that goes with the F sticker the German plate is paired with the D sticker (for Deutsland) A is for Austria ,and so on, the letter sticker is placed on the back indicating what country the car is registered in, so when you drive in a different country they can see where your from , kind of the same as you US guys have on the licence plates

The signal things on the doorframe were semaphores. They actually race 2CV cars and are quite amusing to watch. Being top heavy they roll over quite handily and most often land back on their wheels to continue on racing. You could mow the infield grass twice during one lap but the action is impressive. It's sort of like road racing mopeds.....LOL! I hope to make Charleston. If I do I'll see you there! Cheers Terry
