I just found your channel a few days ago and I really love the way you review games, very open, honest and to the point. As for RF5 I am excited to play it however I was really hoping for character customization because it makes the story feel more of my own and it's nicer to have protagonists that look like me while I play.

Got into playing Rune Factory 4 Special over the holidays last year. First time ever playing a farming sim let alone a Rune Factory game and really enjoyed it! Made sure to pick up the Earthmate edition of Rune Factory 5 post haste and I'm looking forward to jumping into it as soon as I'm able. Great review!

I just got a Switch and was thrilled to find out that Rune Factory was gonna be on it! I enjoyed the first three during my childhood (although finished none) and wanted to play it again as a young adult. I chose to get Rune Factory 4 Special first cause it was reminiscent of the original art style and gameplay but I definitely have plans to get RF 5! I honestly don't mind some graphical drawbacks. The characters, their interactions, the gameplay, and RPG aspect still gets me hooked!

Lucky! I only learned about RF4, never played the old ones and I hear they were really good back then too. RF4 is really good and it's never a bad idea to play a previous game and then compare it to the new one and also experience the new stories and gameplay mechanics. I hope you have a blast with both and would love to know which one you end up liking more!

My favorit bachelor is Ryker. I love his two-faced personality and His cool and mysterious aura! I think this guy is hiding something and I want to find out what it is! (Also he clearly is introverted and I love that too.) Reinhard is my second favorit because he is a strong knight but can also be kinda wholesome.

I hope it is that game changer for you! I feel like removing the heavy focus on the trigger system that annoyed me in the old is gone here. Yeah you need to sleep and progress days, but you don't find yourself stuck not knowing what to do and that is why I am so obsessed with it

I got into Rune Factory because some of the voice actors that I follow were revealed to voice some of the bachelors in the game. The appearance of the romantic interests and the fact that the game was very similar to Harvest Moon (Animal Parade was my favorite) but with fighting, are what completely sold me on it though. I thought I would be wooing Ryker because his design was the most interesting. But then I saw Martin and no one else could compete. He looked like every stoic, but mildly socially-awkward character and he did not disappoint. He names his tools and weapons! How could I not fall for him?

Martin makes me laugh everytime he sees my character he goes "Can I show you my weapons?". He is so fond of his work and proud, it's very cute indeed

Awesome review! I can't wait to get my Earthmate edition!! Question! Does it have any hard"er" end game dungeons like in Rune Factory 4? Also, is the monster gifting the same as in 4 where the monsters usually like the same items that they drop?

I saw unboxing of that Edition and it looks marvelous, pun intended 😝 In regards to post game, I am nowhere near there so not sure! As for monsters, yes they do like what they usually drop but I tried giving wooly for example, other items and I was still able to tame him/her

Hey Miss Bubbles! Oh no what’s going on with your electricity? That sucks! I’m going to collect my RF5 this weekend! Yay! BUT I got my Atelier Sophie 2 finally and I think I’m about maybe 70 percent my way through it and so I want to finish Sophie 2 before I start RF5. I think it’ll be a good game for me, I did try RF4 but I couldn’t figure stuff out and I didn’t Complete the game. It sounds like RF5 is easier, so I’m happy about that. Nowadays if I’m ever stuck in a game, I just find a video walkthrough lol. Saves me the frustration. Hope the issues with electricity get sorted out soon!

Yeah I preordered the Earthmate edition the moment it was available. I have been working all week so I haven’t advanced very far yet, but so far I’m loving every moment. I can’t wait to get a monster barn so I can tame the nine-tailed fox. Also I agree, Fuuka is just adorable and if Scarlet doesn’t show her face soon, that wonderful wolf girl is going to receive all my attention.

Yes! You do need to sleep in this game just like all games do. This is to progress the story, and let your character rest. You will find yourself wanting to end the day around 8pm max eager to see the next day progression and character building/events! Also thank you, very happy to know you enjoyed the video ✨

Im new to this game i got the earthmate edition and really cool, the game in switch oled looks amazing the graphics and everything! very funny game storyline, in my opinion it worth any penny this earthmate edition with the metal case which inside has a manual!!! with the game, a nice quality art book and the OST CD. Mine got shipped very fast on 2nd day after the launch in amazon with prime ;3

Sometimes, it also just got directly compared to its predecessor RF4, and RF5 was often considered to be the "weaker" one of the two. Sooo relieved that you truly seem to be having a blast playing this! Cloudyyyyy 💖 always an honour seeing you here! Your videos made me so excited last year and I still cannot believe that the game is finally here! Yes the visuals are not the best but come to think of it, the game had a massive jump from RF4 to RF5 and with time, the devs will get to work more on the graphics. As for the story, the character development makes up for it. We can't have everything perfect in one game. It excels in so many aspects 🤩 I am doing okay but filming and editing and such has been near impossible 🥺

As someone who can't stand reviwers giving C/70 percent or lower ratings because framerate issues make them rage, this review is a breath of fresh air. And more accurate, honestly. The game is very addictive and very fun to play, in spite of flaws.

I spent a lot of time playing the japanese version but I never got married because I could never decide between Ludmilla or Beatrice. I got my english version today. I tried Rune Factory games when they first came out as I loved Harvest Moon games. I didn't care for it as much back then as I did Harvest Moon & didn't really play it much. Fast forward to today & I think I would like to try them. I'm not big into combat, so that part concerns me a bit. As long as I can obtain good weapons or buffs, I can deal with it. How much time do you spend in combat on RF games typically? Also, right now Rune Factory 5 isn't on sale and is $60. Ouch. So I was thinking maybe I should try RF4 first. It's only $30 right now on Steam. Is RF4 good also? TIA

I prefer RF5 to RF4 but as always, it's all very subjective. RF5 is so much easier to get into with fun character stories to unfold. Combat is also fun. With RF4, the trigger system made the game annoying to me at times as I had to keep resorting to guides, which is fine. But then it's no longer fine when my immersion is constantly being broken. However, RF4 has the superior overall story/plot

I’m not sure if you decided to get it or not but I just wanted to say that usually I avoid any games with combat but decided to give this a go. I’m not very far into the game but have already faced the first boss (and my first boss ever in a game!) and It was fine!! In the beginning you just hit the normal monsters once or twice with your sword and you’re done! It was very easy. The boss took a bit longer but again, it wasn’t hard! Just put the game on easy or normal mode and, trust me, you’ll be fine 😊 In terms of how often you have to deal with monsters, I’m not actually sure as I’ve only been playing a day or so but you only find them outside of the town so it will depend on how quickly you follow the story I guess. There are so many other things to focus on such as farming and relationships that you could ignore the combat part until really necessary or you felt like it! But like i said it’s been very easy so far.

@@RachelXKnight666 it really depends on the person's tolerance. If these are immersion breaking to me I would always make that clear. However, in here, they were never immersion breaking but that does not mean that they do not exist. I hope that helps

I loved rune factory 2,3, and 4 and I was so excited even pre-ordered this, and it was so slow. I was so disappointed. The timing is so much slower and 2 weeks in, it just got a little interesting :( but I'm not super excited and doesn't seem worth it so far.

I'm going after Kumo, he's one of the only guys that actually looks like a man and not a kid. And I like his personality, plus he's just hot lmao. But if Misa was a candidate I would 100% go after her every time, she's gorgeous.

I loved Rune Factory 1-4 and played them several times but jeez, I really dislike the 3d art style in 5 and I hear there's a lot of framerate issues with it, so unfortunately I'll either be passing on it totally or waiting 4-5 months in the hope patches improve it. I wish they had kept the 2d art style though, it's so much nicer.

I absolutely adore this game. I haven't been able to put it down since it arrived. I don't think even Kirby can take me away from this game. P.S. You look so much like my younger sister, it's not even funny. XD Almost a doppelganger.

I dont mind ok graphics but the lag bothers me a lot. I might wait till they patch the game to have the best experience. I wonder if this dev releases patches though...

I really wish the devs would touch up some of the textures. But the worst part to me is the delay when attacking and dashing. There is no reason it should be as bad as it is

I loved everything about the game except the graphic. I think the world looks empty to me and i wish they could made the graphic looks like the one in Tide of destiny. The world in RF5 does not make me want to live in. Everything else are good esp the music.

Understandable. To me, I did not feel disconnected from the world but others may not like it! It really is personal preference and what the gamer is looking for in a farming/life-sim game

beat elden ring & kinda wanted to chill before starting ng+. still have my 3ds so I decided to play RF4 on a whim & I’m loving it so far. not even done w/ my 1st year yet 🥲. After a few play throughs I’m hoping 5 will go on sale, idk if the performance warrants a full price purchase from me.

3DS will always be, to me, the best handheld to enjoy relaxing game! Excellent choice with RF4 to just chill after a tough game. I hope you are having lots of fun with it 🥰

It’s way too many dialogues for me! I just want to play. I just got it 2 hours ago. And kept putting it down because too many cut scenes. Now I’m just skipping through all of them not reading them. Im already regretting buying it. Hopefully the story lines just end soon then I can go to just playing . Will update once my opinion changes 🫤.
