just had this video recommended to me, good review. I have around 2850 hours put in so far, it is certainly not a game for everyone but worth a shot, and certainly is a game that's possible to "main" (like how people primarily play cs or LoL etc). I've been playing consistently since early 2017 and I've always loved this game, it is one of those hidden gems that needs you to get the hang of it, and once you get it, it becomes clear how absolutely perfect of a game it is, and that can't be stressed enough, truly, it's a little hard to explain because some deep understanding is needed but it's almost crazy how everything perfectly flows into each other at any point of the game. also hey, that's my replay at 6:21 :D

Commenting because this game needs more love

I picked it up with a few friends and the constant competition to get better times with my friends is honestly something that no other game has given me so far

This got recommended to me on Steam donkey's years ago, one look at the trailer and I bought it immediately. . . Unfortunately I've never gotten around to playing it as my laptop is plugged into everything under my tv as my media centre and whenever I get the chance to play games it's on the couch with a pad. That pad's probably going to end up going through the TV if I tried this with analogue sticks. Next time I put my laptop on the table for a Postvoid session I'll have to check this out too.

Nice video mate !!! I have more than 30 hours in this game and still i havent managed to survive for longer than 451 seconds . It is mentally exhausting , but so addictive at the same time .

Think I've got roughly 20 minutes in this as well, might try it again if I can remember my itch password. It certainly gives the feeling of an actual cursed program, back when it first released people were predicting that the PSX style graphics would help it age well and... yeah, this could have come out yesterday.

Never played this one but it looks And sounds incredibly frustrating but yet addictive, I'm afraid to give this one a go as I know it would anger me but at the same time I wouldn't be able to stop well at least until I ve mastered it and from the sounds to happen ha ha, Great video mate have a wonderful weekend

I have hundreds of hours in this game and pretty much agree to everything you said, applies to waves 1000 seconds in! I love devil daggers but I do have to say that its immense difficulty makes a strange dilemma as it gatekeeps new and upcoming players from learning the mechanics and exploring the scary but exciting gameplay that takes place after 450 seconds in (the end loop, seriously its such a blast), but the difficulty also keeps players wanting more than they currently chew on. It's nice to see that years past it's release, devil daggers still gets praise for simply what it is. nothing more or less than being a good video game.

I would never assume you are being paid by the developers to promote this game as I somehow trust you...but you should be! Your most elequent description of this game, through the lens of a retro-gamer makes me want to get this game...which I shall do...and probably play it for about 20 seconds because I am rubbish at most games (give me the peaceful serenity of a Minecraft world over the madness of Doom, L4D any day...though I love those other games too...my kids are just so much better at them than me and it makes me sad) Keep the great videos going because they make my day (but also don't feel that you have to just to keep the likes of me happy!)

So... that bit where you went "I just wanted to beat my mates score", and my brain went... "Oooh, I should try that... "- went to buy it, and it turns out I've had it since 2016 and never played it. XD

I'm so fucking happy to still see new people getting into the game. My current pb is 860ish, still grinding for that 1000.
