Titus acts like a old man that lost his girls , it's really kinda funny to hear him bellow . Thankyou , I enjoyed this vid in the field after morning coffee . Cheers .
Yup, I am going into my "winter mode" as well-----but, just two cats to herd around and feed and the regular house chores. Sure have it easier than you farm folk, but I'll happily take it. Now, if I'd had my druthers I'd be one of y'all only a smaller spread with fewer livestock. Heck, I'm crowding 80 next month so I'm allowed, 🙂 Thanks for your ruminations and relaxed being.
I caught that too! The frolicking cow just proved Pete's point about herd health and happiness. She must be the herd crazy because none of the cows even looked at her antics.
There is nothing as calming as the sound of cattle grazing, getting a mouthful of tender grass and pulling. Very nice. I could put something like that on a loop and use it to fall asleep. Thank you and give Hillary a hug from me, her "fan girl".
That was an awesome picture sitting of you in the pasture and the school bus stopping on the road in the background to pickup a school kid... JUST AWESOME ....
Thanks so very much for the video. The cows really looked like they enjoyed the "new pasture grass". Will be looking forward to all your videos during the "slow down" time of the the winter. Have a great day.
Always enjoy your videos. A great way to start a day. I love when you both are working together. An awesome team is always great to see in motion. Hope you both have a wonderful day. See you soon in the next one.
I think bulls can count. Titus' feelings are hurt because he only got 2 ladies this season. He thinks he's being 'put to pasture' and has accepted his position. He's still carrying a grudge. Lol!
I grew up in New England but now live in Indiana. Could hardly believe when I stuck a shovel in the ground and....no rocks! Paradise! Boy, Orton's a beauty.
Great video Pete. I'm 80 years old today and I've known a lot of people... a lot of couples... and I'm always intrigued and pleasantly impressed with the way you and Hillary work together. I've known people who couldn't stand be close to each other, but yet they were married. Never made any sense to me. I don't know they're family dynamics though. I'm just impressed with the way you two work together. You complement each other. I think it's beautiful. Oh, and the cattle look great too!
First to comment! Never happened before 😊Great video, love the farm sightings! Very glad Tidus is healthy!Thank you for all efforts to entertain this great!
I like the old fieldstone wall. "I'm out here in the meadow, paaart of an old stone wall, stand here because you said so, waitin' around to fall. Joe Walsh if I'm not mistaken.
Can you imagin 22 Thousand views in 3 hours? I think that tells you something. You have a great, peaceful life. Each time you post a video, you share 15 minutes of that peace with us. You are the one peaceful commercial in my daily life.
The year went to fast . Can’t believe winter is just around the corner . Want to thank you for your contribution to the lives of us who truly appreciate you . We will continue to support and watch your channel . I think changes will be exciting . God Bless
Paced back and forth for few days watching YT for "Just a few "Acres Farm" video and here it was this morning!! made my day Pete, and Hilary. I think that cow running and frolicking around was hilarious! Did you forget to mention the calf Peanut for the time she had a problem or did I miss that? you know us old folk we miss a lot (NOT!) just don't acknowledge it all the time don't want to embarrass you "young'in's That was some great looking Alphalfa in the Chicken pasture. and the cows will love it and the clover too. I noticed that young one eating the tops on the Orcfhard grass. funny. yum! thanks for sharing Pete great video as always. ECF
When I worked on the farm when we had a job that sucked I’d say that same thing to the boss (I can’t work in these conditions) then we’d laugh and get to work lol thanks for sharing
Hi Pete and Hillary. Love hearing the Dexter’s . Grew up in East Norwalk Ct. and remember the dairy cattle roaming on farmland almost to the water’s edge on Long Island Sound. Original settlers Marvin and Taylor family owned the land. Until about 1960 the Stew Leonard family leased the land. City of Norwalk owns it now with a perpetual open land limit. Hope all of you are enjoying fall. Michael, Norwalk Ct.
Thank you Pete and Hillary! I enjoy watching the many basic things that come with running a small farm. Please don’t try to improve on something that many of us have lost sight of, you know the “simpler is better “ thing. Love seeing the your happy cows run and jump!
Gotta love Patty, she's da Boss! Isn't it amazing how cows can turn grass into steaks, ground beef and milk? 😀 Feed your cows healthy grass and they won't get sick. Same with people, eat healthy food keep bad health to a minimum. If you think healthy food is expensive think of it as buying health and less Doctor bills!
Good video Pete & Hillarie - life winding down on the farm, prepping for winter. The same here in Maryland. I love fall!! Have a great rest of your week and we'll see you soon!
Hay pete great video always nice to see you and your wife working together as a team no one does that better than you guys thank you for sharing blessings to you and your family
Wonderful to see happy cows and happy farmers. 👍☺ I hope you all have a relaxing winter season and I will look forward to seeing your videos on restoring and fixing the tractors, Pete . Perhaps Hillary will share her passion projects with us one day. It would be great to get to know her better but I understand if she's not comfortable. Take care and all the best from the UK 😊❤
Good afternoon, Pete. I sure hope you do another market video before it closes. Winter seems to be the time for everyone to slow down a little and enjoy some time. I like to build a nice fire in the fireplace, grab a book, cigar, and a cup of coffee, and just relax for a few hours at night. Heck, there isn't much else to do when it's in the 20s or less, and the snow is falling. Perhaps if I lived on a farm, I'd rebuild a tractor or something. I don't know.
I love the cows. I like critters. Must be my advancing age. LOL. I'm getting to know their names. I fret a little because of the sad Bull. But you're right, they'll work it out.
It's good to see your grass so lush and tall, here in the midwest we have little fall pasture due to the drought and dry conditions. If you are like me I try not to use a vet whenever possible, that said we had a cow that did have hoof problems and he did some trimming for us. We have very hilly and rocky land, so for a larger breed of cows that makes for some issues. I enjoy watching your channel, good stuff! Thanks Pete and I hope your day goes well.
