Bleach started airing in 2004 and ended in 2012, the manga ran from 2001 to 2016, The Thousand Year Blood War arc started in 2022, 10 years after the anime originally ended and 6 years after the manga ended
@@starpatrickshow it's actually really complicate and we to this day don't have a full 100% confirmation on why exactly the anime stopped, it is often stated to have been cancelled for low viewership but when ever this is said it's never accompanied by actual numbers.
Some of it definitely has to do with not wanting to make another filler arc. When the anime ending there was only enough tybw chapters to make 2 episodes. My guess they either had to make a filler or just end it early. Also we know the anime got greenlit back in 2017 due to Rukia's VA. Only 1 year after the manga ended.
@TheBirdOHermes I do not believe for a second that bleach was ever falling off in terms of viewership to the point they would cancel the show, considering the fan base stuck around for 10 years waiting for the anime to come back 😂
@@whenisdinner2137But it was the truth. The popularity dropped significantly after fullbring arc in Japan. It became worse during final conclusion before the manga ends. Bear in mind, for Shonen Jump, Japanese readers and buyers much important than global . And at that time, more new manga took its spot for serialisation and anime release.
as a long time bleach fan op 15 is one of my favorite cause at the ending when it shows ichigo walking it show all the bleach episode title cards flashing behind him
Same, it feels like a lil loving reflection to the rest of the series, especially with how it changes as his fullbring develops throughout the arc and eventually at the end of the arc where a part changes to show different characters. It's such a nice sendoff for the original anime.
Bleach has, by far, the best fits in all of anime. Also, bleach has brothers for real. One of them is even one of the strongest characters in the series 😂
Btw most animes at the time were only in 480p. Only newer animes or remastered animes are in 1080p. Bleach didnt change to 1080p until episode 168. Also animes are made in 12-24fps so if you ever see a openings video saying 1080p60fps in the title dont bother with it. They use AI to fill in all the frames to make the full video in those versions.
I love and respect on how serious you put out the tier , and even change it after listening a few times some more. Very unusual from other youtubers tier video . Cheers !
Bro i was so glad when you put op 9 at the top, it has to be my favorite op of all time. Also 13 and 7 following it is also perfect placement imo. Overall loved the vid fam.
Pausing the video halfway through to say that "change" by Miwa better be #1 or somewhere in the S tier at the very least! 😤 Update: Aight, I'll admit that knowing what's going on in the show when that season drops makes OP 12 slap way deeper, lol. I watched Bleach weekly while it was airing in Japan, and I'm pretty sure s12 is when they began formatting the show in 16:9 FHD instead of 4:3 SD, which made the amazing OP animation mind-blowing at the time. Bleach tailors their openings to the vibe of each season, whether it's to match the overall theme, or to totally contrast it in a deceptive way, if that makes sense. Also, the visual stylings, alternate logo designs, and drip changes are because Kubo is a huge fashion nerd.
Opening 15 its mostly nostalgia shot with all the episodes popping at background as ichigo walks + this song , it was last opening before 10year wait time
BLEACH GREATNESS! always has been my favorite of the big 3. now, my 3 favorite characters there are: the old man that uses fire (oh and it's quite the hellfire, imma tell you right now) 69 guy (which ISN'T Ichigo, in case you thought) the big brown skinned muscle guy from the main cast
yo man. Great video. I just wanted to say if you watch Bleach skip the openings. It contains spoilers, now you couldnt figure them out because you dont know the majority of the characters. And about the Fillers, you can skip them. I recommend to skip the fillers short fillers with a few episodes (the beach episode is an exception, go watch that), and you should skip the bount arc. In my opinion most of the filler arcs are good and enjoyable, so its worth giving it a chance
It was originally gonna be called Snipe not Black because Kubo was gonna go with guns instead of swords and Rukia was gonna use a scythe. She was also gonna be the main character
The music direction for the OST is composed by the same guy that did neon genesis evangelion, super legendary guy, Shiro Sagisu. (Looking into him i found he also did Berserk)
Hey bud, Bleach Endings will never fail you. I would love for you to react to it too, and also, please react to Fairytails Opening. They are a hidden gem.
aside from minor differences of 1 letter there's 2 big differences, I would put openings 2 and.... The "churu chu chu churu" in like c tier at best, op2 has stuff I like but to me it goes downhill hard after a certain point and the other one has like 3 cute moments but they can't carry the rest of the song for me, it's passable
@@raoufkirito9206 What are you talking about. The pacing was good it was 3-4 chapters per episode. The animation was very nice and was awesome in the major fights. Legendary OSTs and scenes, The two last fillers arcs (Zampakuto and Army Invasion) was great and we can skip the fillers if WE want...etc
@@Crizalid2011 what am saying is the anime is a 7/10 and 9.5/10 for the manga Am saying that bcs Bleach is my fav manga but i see alot of mfs hating on it bcs of the anime adaptation
