THIS INTERABLED COUPLE claims their relationship is genuine despite what the haters say. John Larkins, aka Larko, is a rapper who was born with cerebral palsy, leaving him unable to walk or speak. He uses a device operated by eye gaze to communicate and write lyrics. His music has jetted him to multiple countries to perform, but he is taking a break after recently becoming engaged to his fiancé, Takhmina. The couple met while holidaying in Dubai and quickly fell in love. After getting engaged earlier this year, they are now planning for their big day. People have "warned" Larko that Takhmina is just after his money, but the couple isn't bothered by others' speculation.

Let's say "It is for his money" who cares?!? This man is so happy and deserves to feel happiness. He had the actual courage to go up to a beautiful woman he found attractive to try to talk to her despite the odds stacked against him. He didn't let his disability get the best of him. He took control of his life and doesn't let his disability control what he wants to do in life. It's quite remarkable. His confidence is amazing 💪 he knew that his chances were greater to just try & go for it then to just sit there and not. He has more courage then most men, not even just men people ingeneral. He makes no excuses & nothing will stand in his way!

Do people realise how horribly offensive it is to people like us in the disabled community when you pass stupid & ignorant comments such as ‘They must be with them because they have a fetish’ - ‘They can only be with them for the money’ - yes.. because people couldn’t possibly want to be with us for having lovely personalities, being kind individuals, or for having a great sense of humour eh?! 🙄 I’m disabled, & as of right now I *choose* to be single. However, I have had relationships since being diagnosed with my 2 chronic genetic disabilities (which are degenerative), & they completely saw past it. I just think it’s so insulting that anyone should pass comment in the first place, let alone make such derogatory remarks. We’re just like everyone else, we just aren’t as able bodied & adapt our lives to that, it doesn’t mean we aren’t human! Wishing these two every bit of love for their future. The people who are critical of interabled relationships are likely jealous that someone with a severe disability was able to find love. Perhaps the critical people are unhappy with their own interpersonal relationships. Many seem to overvalue sexual attraction, ignoring the fact that there are asexual people and that some people genuinely find people with disabilities attractive. Plus, compatibility and mutual respect are more important factors for having a healthy, long-term relationship.

Genuinely feel people who bring up negative comments around disabled people dating and being in relationships, in some weird ways feel inadequate when they see stories like this. It shouldn't even matter, but a small number of humans thrive with this negative thinking - 1. "I might be single, but that disabled person will find it harder" it even "atleast I'm more attractive because I'm not disabled" 2. "atleast I'm not at fat as them" etc. There are humans who genuinely believe having a disability makes some less deserving. As a hidden disabled woman people are often surprised I've got a very supportive partner and we have plans to have children etc. Due to meds I have a belly and some rolls, meanwhile I also have a plant based, muscly, younger man - it flabbergasts a lot of people. It goes back to the thinking that our lives should be too difficult for anyone to want to a part of, and disabilities somehow ate supposed to represent someone's being!

My LTR has a disability; he can talk but due to continously seizures,he can't maintain balance to walk without assistance. I am his caregiver, I have to bathe him, feed him, see to his medications and serve as his long term memory since he can forget something in 30 minutes. It doesn't matter to me because I love him

As somebody who has CP themselves (I have spastic quadriplegia in case people are wondering) I also live in between two worlds, I’m not completely disabled but not completely able-bodied either, I’m the one in the middle I will say this, John comes off as a jack the lad and I don’t know if I like that, it’s somewhat arrogant/smarmy. In addition his future wife I think she’s just looking for security, I don’t know usually I get a really solid vibe with these sorts of stories (interabled/age gap etc). Here however, I don’t know something just feels out of place. Regardless of things like ulterior motives, if their relationship works for them, okay it’s no skin off my nose, you do you like.

I also got diagnosed with borderline personality disorder at 31, I’m 36 now, I’m also Trans so there is a lot of juggling that I do. In terms of why I said what I said, there was just something that didn’t sit right with me personally, ultimately if it works for them regardless of the whose, what’s, where’s and why’s but ultimately no skin off my nose. I hope this answers your questions, feel free to elaborate if you so choose to I won’t find it rude at all.

I can relate to this woman. I suppose I'm generally considered a good looking woman, but I never chose my partners based on some expectation of attractiveness. I've been with people of different sizes and abilities, and have encountered remarks about being a gold digger and nonsense like that (even though I've worked all my life and have often been in the financial caregiver role in my relationships). For me intellectual connection and the feeling of safety is the most important thing. I also find people's unique "empowerment struggles" attractive. Like if a person is disabled in whatever way, but they own it and have strength/wisdom in it all, I find this very attractive. Its the quality of someone's heart and soul that makes me the most attracted. My husband now is on the spectrum and he is also the most generous and courageous man and he is a wonderful father to our children. No matter what happens with his body or mind, I will be by his side.

This video only solidifies the idea that this is a financial situation. She said her initial feeling was one of pitty and then couldn't explain that she had fallen in love with him. They're is clearly a language barrier and Uzbekistan is known for their "mail-order brides" and don't forget she has a child to think about. With all that said it's none of my business really and if they're both ok with their arrangement then that's all that matters.

tbh how is it different from what other celebrities /millionaires do 👀 they sleep//buy things for "attractive" women everyday sometimes 3 in one day 😂😂 I understand he's vulnerable but he chose her, if he wants to give her 500£ n she takes it that's on him 😂 as humans if she's taking away his loneliness and he's actually happy till he's dead then why not, also maybe before her he probably spent allot on different women in clubs using him etc and so called "friends" wanting his money So now he's just got 1 so it's better to invest 😂 and I'm sure she's genuine in the sense of if someone was trying to use him she would defend her man, I think he's gaining more than she is tbh. he's a sweet guy he's got money to blow and he chose that lifestyle, I will say one thing tho..I got allot of admiration the fact he's made something successful and wealth in his situation..u don't really see that everyday it's definitely underrated

I’m not even lying if I see an attractive disabled person I’m still approaching them idc. I admit I was ignorant , but now I see how capable he is, their love, their daughter…. I actually find him attractive when I didn’t think I would …My main fear was the communication I can’t provide what they need socially if they can’t speak very well but there’s other ways…. Why do I feel like I just crawled out from under a rock ? And I know there’s a lot physically being with one who’s disabled but it’s our job to take care of each other i would do it for a stranger so that isn’t a problem for me personally I love taking care of people it makes them feel good and comfortable .
