Jordan, I love what you talked about in this video pertaining to slow days fishing or days where it's just a struggle. I couldn't agree more with that sentiment. I see fishermen get genuinely upset about loosing a nice fish. When I loose a nice fish, especially on a slow day it just adds to my drive to get em next time. The slow fishing days and loosing nice fish are definitely what feeds my fishing "addiction".
Jordan I am 54 been river fishing every fall for Salmon, last year was my year I had 1 trip I hooked 19 Chinook on my centerpin rod. My setup is a Bloodrun Skein Cane HD 13' with an amazing reel from BER in Canada I can't say enough about that reel. Would love to fish with you in Oregon.
Tough fishing aside, those fall conditions in the PNW and those little rivers in the rain were absolutely beautiful. The image just conjures the aroma of decaying leaves and damp moss and soil to mind. I love it.
These are the kinds of videos I really appreciate as an angler who is primarily bank fishing. Bushwhacking and struggling to find that good piece of water is what keeps us connected to our environment. Tired of seeing float trips vids racking up 20 fish a day. I hope to see more fly fishing from Jordan in the future too!
Really hard to complain about a day where you are out with your best friend (Tiny), in the elements (properly prepared), in some of the most beautiful nature settings on the face of the earth sparring with the fish. Well done !!
Jordan! Gotta be honest, you definitely inspire me and my lady to get out there and get some! Was taking tomorrow off to go fish but the forecast is not pretty so was thinking of calling it off but after seeing you tough it out we’re gonna send it! Thanks for working so hard to get us this content, we definitely appreciate the work you put in! Much love from the east coast!
Excited to get my hands on those addicted trout bobbers. I was worried your other models might be a bit too bulky for trout and I shied away from them, but that looks perfect for the trout I catch up here in the NE. Looking forward to getting them when they are available, thanks for all the great knowledge and work 👍
I live up in AK and when the weather is brutal it is BRUTAL. Something about getting your ass kicked by mother nature is therapeutic and natural. I always have fun fishing even in the worst of conditions.
Amazing scenery and Jordan being informative and entertaining as always. Cooking the fish you caught with your hands must be an amazing feeling. Here in Greece we don't have salmon but we sure have amazing little trouts. Keep making videos like that pls. Cheers!
I love these videos with Jordan and Little just tromping up a river/creek. Keep em' coming, love his positive attitude about everything even when its garbage weather like the rain in this one.
Super awesome video! Im going to use this soon. I live in the Appalachian mountains and already forage for chanterelles. Im soooo doing this but with our local trout.
Jordan, I wish I could post a pic here in the comments. Noticed your Spawn Till You Die shirt. I have a signed print hanging in my garage from Ray Troll (the artist from Ketchikan) that he gave to my first wife and I as a wedding present. One of my favorite pieces of art! :). Fun video!
Man I wish I could try that fish! Looks fantastic! I have to say I enjoyed this video. You worked hard for it and was awesome how your dog found those mushrooms. Amazing. Can't wait to try that recipe. Cheers
Jordan's shirt says "Spawn till you die", and features naked people and a skull and cross-salmon. He got it in AK. I got mine there, too! Its totally badass.
What the hell RU-vid how are people supposed to learn if you keep demonetizing everything does a little fish blood hurt your feelings. Jordan you rock keep it up bro.
That's OK , Jordan. I don't need to see the bonking or the filleting. Most of us already know how to fillet trout and salmon...although I could use some help in zippering walleyes!
Some say pull them out and others say cut them off. Watch the deer eat them. They pull them out when they munch on chanterelles. You can do both . They still come back in the same area.
awesome how the dog knows he's hooked up and gets excited lol..nothing like hiking, fishing or hunting with a dog by ur side..best part is they're silent partners that aren't yapping the whole time🤣
You said it all..like you I have been fortunate in my hunting and fishing to be successful more than not mostly because I spend every day out there...been my whole life...the tough days only make you appreciate and not take for granted what we have...without the tough days it would not be the same...no matter how bad a day goes it is still a good day being out in the elements of nature! It takes a special person to appreciate the bad days in a positive manner....that is a big reason I love your channel!👍🫡🇺🇲
Have you fished up at scanewa lake up by Randle for the coho that is trucked up there from the Cowlitz river. It is a fun time up there.. I might go this Thursday or friday
I agree with everything you said. I think you guys ought to take a trip to Co. and hunt the willy Golden Trout. On that Alfredo I'd spoon out some of the sauce and stir in some, Wondra, finely sifted flour and thicken that bad boy up. Cheers
Coho are spawning in my area right now, they come through in small schools. I wait until I see the coho and the Cutty are literally right behind the coho, waiting for eggs. I caught the largest Cutty I've ever seen, 5 or 6lbs doing just that. I've been catching on spoons and Kastmaster 1oz, down deep where they're sitting. 👍👍👍
Hey Jordan.i enjoyed the video..very informative..what rod..ultralight? I fished slot on Chatoogah To er.. upper S.C...similat style.. mostly rainbow and brown trout. I like the Panther Martin spinner with fly tail Looks like a little bumble bee...little secret..put a live cricket on treble hook..spinner..🙂🤚... Addicted Fishing.! Mushroom sounds good..I have had morrels with trout stew.... 🙂♥️
Ya buddy. Sometimes you gotta shake things up a bit and check things out in neature. You can tell it’s neature by the way it is. Hahahahaha that’s pretty neat
That was glutinous maximus!..your nir nir is good at sighting fish n mushrooms..hope u didn't waste any of that God given bounty..from earths holy garden
I'm not sitting on a dry couch I'm uploading a fall salmon vid then gonna get back out there and record more also my last vid may or may not have addicted tailout twitching jigs in it 😀
When in spawning streams with Little are you guys worried about him getting into dead salmon. Just with salmon/ fluke poisoning can happen to dogs with pacific salmon. I know some dogs can have an immunity depending on parents being fed raw salmon, curious what you guys have to say?
@@AddictedFishing how is he immune, can you go to a vets office to get a shot or was it passed down from parents. The only reason I ask is I have a pup that I take out fishing and worry about her because lack of immunity. When I contacted a vet they said they will only give vaccine to a dog that is sick with poisoning. Do you guys know how or where you can without that option for obvious reasons?
