Everyone told Ubi they were taking Breakpoint the wrong way and boy did they listen. They tried to make the next game a battle royale...It was cancelled like 2 months after they announced it. In their defense, Breakpoint is better than it used to be and you can kind of get rid of some of the annoying parts, it just is a pain to figure out how. and it still has its rage quit moments.
I cant stand the game. It either has AI that walk next to you and cant see you or AI that have wall hacks, aimbot, and shoot .50 cal ammo out of everything.
@@neobaggins3718 I very rarely watch announcements and stuff, but I caught that one for their battle Royale game, stream on RU-vid had tons of likes, then as soon as the announcement happens, FLOODED with dislikes, deservedly. I think Breakpoint right now is better than Wildlands, with proper settings. Not on launch, but now.
I long for a game with the polish of wildlands but with actual milsim gameplay in a massive open map, and procedurally generated targets that you plan missions for. Run SSE to find your next target(s)
Yea dont forget your death check shots in order to add more realism. A needed mod is the prolongation of dead bodies on ground. Nobody managed to do it. Last one out unfortunately entails using reshade which i Dnt like, is a very cool GPNVG move nods on effect. Whih is the 3rd mod however the best 2 is fpp and no detection alert sound
I hope someday you guys will tackle Ghost Mode eventually once you get the hang of the mechanics like camera and equipment management. I recommend just enabling the equipment readout so you don't blow yourself up anymore, though lol. In this mode permadeath is in fact enforced by the game, but the equipment restrictions are the real standout feature that finally fix the AR/bolt action meta that ensures every player is prepared for any possible situation. Lately I've been dreaming of a definitive Ghost Mode run with separate sorties for recon and direct action, layered backup plans, external screenshots for mapping enemy encampments, a little metagaming with previous knowledge of poorly explained/bullshit missions, anything and everything necessary to ensure the preparation and safety of the team. If anyone can pull off the perfect run, it's you guys Something that really transforms the game is making extremely heavy use of rebel supports. The standard modern AAA co op limitation of four players or less is really frustrating, but because of the way additional players multiples their functionality, you can call in quite a few AI to create complex plans, like one player each leading a fireteam of rebels and overwatch calling for mortars and QRF from different directions. Makes sense with the theme of the game too, since they're supposed to be the ones taking credit for all your missions The dual wielded Mac-10s that the Sicarios can carry are straight busted OP on Extreme. This is a unique configuration that only that enemy type is allowed to use, and they will melt you every time before you can react. Listen for their unique sound signature and treat them as priority targets The bleedout mechanics in the standard story mode don't actually kill you when the timer runs out. That's just how long you have to wait until the game will let you respawn, after which you can still be revived. If you want to self-impose punishment for death you either need to clearly communicate when you're dead-dead, or just respawn and immediately fast travel away from the fight so no one revives you by accident Finally it didn't come up in this particular video, but I'm going to warn you ahead of time about La UNIDAD, because they don't follow conventional logic. These bastards have literally infinite resources that they will throw at you until you die the instant you're detected by them. Your only option is to break contact and don't get spotted next time. Equip the free crossbow from the store in your secondary slot for instant kills to the body that are as quiet as the game will allow. The Echelon Gloves from the Season 2 Pass have the fastest melee in the game. Make a habit of mining all the ingress routes on your way in, because even Santa Blanca can call a ridiculous number of trucks as QRF
We used to love playing Wildlands like this. Zero hud, we ran with one main, one side arm only so we had a DMR guy. Breakpoint "now" you can do something very similar. I don't know if there's an option to disable/remove the robots though so you have to be careful what missions to pick but some of the new DLC they added make that much easier.
Wildlands is always a blast. My favorite way to play is going hardcore like you guys did here but also adding in the First person camera mod. Totally changes the game and brings it back to the original ghost-recon feeling almost completely.
@@jezbv that is needed then the no detection sound is a must too then tons of house rules not avoid a lot of issues with random arcaders also to secure nobody make strange sprints or equips like sci fi babies and then proper comms handling etc.. Best examples are f. I. S.t 79 video series and the few very best videos by vibing dusty. Bren looking since 2019 end for team and found some and we did a lot of missions but then after some months i could not find anymore ppl to run it... NO HUD team my project is called. DNH 17.
Oh yeah, Wildlands was great fun when I played it with my bro. We usually played it with similar settings as well. Eventually we did notice that further updates started increasing the desyncs for us toward the end of our playtime with the game.
The big problem is that ppl dnt get all must have same settinfs and skills and mindset and everything synched, otherwise there is no immersion no game no shared comms... It s so hard to find LARPers or sort of anyway realism based simmers... Etc for the whole story... Vibing dusty for me did the best.. Much better than F. I.s.t 79 video series.
i just repurchased wildlands as it was an amazing game and have not played it in years. now on the pc. cant wait to find a group to play with like this. hope theres still an active enough community. glad to have seen this was only posted 11 days ago
Love this, hope this series does well, i love that you're shining light on a pretty much dead game, i hope you have as much fun with it as me and my buddy's did when we played it
I love this game and haven't stopped playing since it came out, cool to see it played with team tactics instead of solo, it really changes the feel. I just wish this game could be modded with more realistic weapons/attachments/gear. Like imagine (since ghosts are loosely based on the unit) being able to use a hk416 with a geissele handguard and a vortex scope, or quad nods with white phosphor tubes, etc. Just seems like it would be such a great canvas
Love this game. CP, rocking semi auto on rifles and carbines is the move to make it more immersive and satisfying. I’m not sure if you couldn’t see the key to switch firing modes due to killing the hud, but that’s the way to go! Love your content, man.
This game is awesome if you mess with the settings a little bit you can get a great tactical experience on console. Also the one death mode is a lot of fun and very stressful after a few hours of playing. And their is a great selection of weapons.
I feel like with a good writer this game could be a show. Flesh out the characters a bit and keep the main story beats and I think it would be decent. Especially with military advisors working on tactics and verbiage
Watching you play this has made me re-download it on my ps5 loved this game when it came out,the graphics are still pretty good look forward to watching you play more of this 👍🏼
Love Wildlands! I do wish it had more settings customization like Breakpoint, as well as the better gunplay and injury system, but as far as the story and setting, it is much better!
I hope one day you try breakpoint, although lacking in world elements the added gameplay of breaching fences, prone cameo, custom world perimeters and some honestly great weapon sounds for some of the guns make up for it
Yes but is stays 3rd person and needs at least spartan mod. And needs total creation of mission campaigns from zero. Because the story and cut scenes suck
I did some pistol testing, and the M9 pistol is OP. It does damage like an AR, 3 shots to the body or 1 shot to the head to kill an alert sicario; the bfg50a with the TARS101 has at least 8x magnification, I noticed it also reduced bullet drop to be exactly on par with the HTI, but with 2-3x the rate of fire. I would encourage everyone to check out those weapons, and the BFG specifically with the TARS101 (I know people have ben asking for a higher magnification scope, TARS101 on the BFG, is your only option for native gear setups). I use an Aug A3 as my main rifle, but the automatic weapons are all so well balanced, it's really up to you, and especially your play style. But imo, the DPS of the M9 (for its class, it's basically an SMG/ironsight AR with its DPS and mag capacity. With the 25 round mag, it can take out an alert car full of reinforcements in 1 clip if you make 1 shot less than 1/2 your rounds, and get NO headshots. WTF? It's a PISTOL!) and BFG50A (especially with the highest magnification in game) are imo set apart for their class. Other guns are totally fine, and some even work better for specific situations, but I found my new setup for my next extreme playthrough. Thoughts, and other under-rated guns?
Wildlands is the shit. I haven't played for ages, but I used to love cranking up the difficulty & trying to stealth clear the airfield in the NW corner of the map, near the salt flats. Got waaay too good with the 110 for my own good as well lmao
This game is really fun. Got it on launch day. Did almost everything you can do in the game... 1 that I'll always cherish. Last year I've seen a 1st person view mod for this one and had to try. Holy damn. In 1st person this game hit another level. It is like a new game. Immersion became unbelievable not to mention the difficulty. Been playing it again for some time now. You should try some time. You'll know what I mean.
For best realism, make sure you get the high caliber snipers and no silencer damage penalty perk. That outta make those sniping shots mostly one shot kills even at long range.
wildlands is a really great game, especially when you can actually manage to get some friends to join for co-op play (and can actually get them to listen to you instead of running off and doing their own thing). by the way, the BFG-50A sniper rifle is an instant one-shot kill to almost any non-armoured vehicle (including all aircraft) in the game, so long as there are people in the vehicle. the humvee and the Unidad SUV take two hits each, and the APC takes... several, ive never really gotten an opportunity to test out the exact number since theyre very rarely occupied in the game. oh yeah, and i know nothing about the boats, i dont think ive ever seen an enemy in a boat before.
oh yeah, when using the rebel mortars, it is important to keep in mind that for some reason the enemies always know exactly where every player is after the mortars hit. once they hit, every player needs to relocate (the enemies typically prioritize the closest player, but not always; sometimes they target the one who called in the mortars first)
@@zachtalongamesyt9981 the 50A is the most slept on rifle in game. #1 anti-material, gets out a clip as fast as an hti gets out 2 shots. Glad someone else recognizes it, too! Good advice, btw.
Not the most realistic of games but definitely alot of fun and the story isn't half bad even if it isn't exactly original. Loved this game tho. The open world was really really well done. One of my favorite open worlds
My issue with this game (and why I like Breakpoint more) is due to the fact that if you're spotted, then your whole squad is spotted. If they had fixed that, I would have loved it far, far more.
Another weird thing is when you call in a mortar barrage. The enemies will then hunt you down at your exact location where you're calling from even though it can be clearly seen that the mortars were being fired from the opposite direction
If you are ready and got the grips of it. Try the First person mod. Kinda junky sometimes especially when the perspective gets stuck but its still a cool mod.
3 min in and already switching skins for each thing you do. One of the best parts of the game is honestly the cosplay lol. 2 things I recommend: Never use a drone while sitting in a helo, you'll blow up the helo half the time. And ban explosive drones, it makes many missions trivial.
Only thing that killed game for me was the best or cool weapons were behind huge grind or luck and i didn't even notice can get them besides paying for them till like 2 or 3 years of playing it and hackers all over multiplayer with everything from aim bot through three metal buildings with snipers to invincibility and self revive
may i suggest, alarms should be done with pistol at close range to simulate mechanically disarming it. rather than just shooting the box from far away.
Glad u noticed. Exactly no hud and lot of house rules a lot. Save scum in order not to lose progress but if u die u r done for that day. Exactly.. Savescum is needed not to lose the story progression. I never played it and that is needed in order not to play as a challenge that will never end. And then fpp mod and also MUST USE the no detection audio alertmod. Then a lot of realistic cartel branches strategy application... So stuff like security first then smuggling then influence than production just like FOLLOW THE MONEY procedures (italy) teaches (see falcone and borsellino killed by world elites in 2 terror attacks by rich lobbies on italian soil in 1993)... I do this and u must check vibing dusty videos they r the best style of interpretation of this. I am at 20% of pr0gression and have not found anymore friends after 1 year of friends and playing also becauze of covid disrupted the whole thing...
I think it’d be cool to see you try Arma 3 Antistasi with some friends to see a small change in gameplay style, seeing the fight from the other side of an insurgency.
I really love the game because of the potential of simulation it has with the options and modes but the game is basically unplayable with friends, because the servers are constantly down and breaking thanks to Ubisoft.
Wildlands is indeed a wonderful game to LARP in. Just ignore the crackheads dual-weilding uzis. Fun fact: the game actually called this out with Nomad more or less saying that Sicario foot soldiers were much worse than anything he ever dealt with in Afghanistan.
Man I loved this game me and my buddy spent hours outdoing each other on longest shots I forget I far are final shot was but I wanna say it was 1000 km or something
idk why you dont play more modded arma 3. its so good for special operations stuff, although not much cqb. Although wildlands is way cooler with the first person mod
The largest hurdle to playing these games is the requirement of the ubisoft launcher which has lost my l9g in and won't let me connect new accounts to my Xbox live. Ubisoft is nothing but a self own on pc
Since you enjoyed this so much you should really consider trying most breakpoints operation motherland. Breakpoint has much better customisation (you get to pick between a lot of different name brand helmets, plate carriers etc) and a lot more care given to the small details (like peq15s and mawls ir illuminator being on under nods). Operation motherland is a lot of fun, it’s essentially the same style of campaign as the one in wildlands except you’re fighting Russians.
@@ControlledPairsGaming well, you don’t have to touch that. Same as with the with the marking dots in wildlands. Assaulting a compound for hostage rescue from the woods while to teammates provide cas with an lmg from the side of a chopper is some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Sure the drones are annoying, but in operation motherland the big ones only show up for the finale. It is, if nothing else, worth at least a half-an-hour. Lord knows I have a lot of half-an-hour’s in breakpoint.
It's a beautiful game, but there's too much gamebreaking nonsense: extremely slow muzzle velocity, enemies that literally dodge bullets, enemies that magically know where you are as soon as they find a dead body.
@@ControlledPairsGaming Totally agree!! Wildlands is such a pretty game, but what realllyyyy turns me off of ever playing it again was how bad the sequel was. No amount of pretty can fix that dumpster fire. AND ON TOP OF THAT the sequel almost makes the first one feel bad! That's how bad breakpoo or whatever is
I can only say that on release date in 2017 this game was garbage. -There was no physics for driving vehicles -there was no option to disable UI which spam you with rainbow windows -gunplay was tragic -no customization regarding your teammates and a lot more To be honest this game start to be "ok" two years later. Same story with breakepoint (which without mods like "spartan mode" etc its very medicore game). So you missed the game because at release date it was a trash...but who could know back then that ubi will try to fix it. EVERYONE IS TELLING UBI "make wildlands remake with movement like in Breakepoint or with first person option (there is a mod for that which i recommend)" BUT UBI SAID NOOOOOOO!! WE WILL DO A BATTLE ROYAL $HIT...which they cancel after 2 months.
