Thank you for watching! I can not show it in the video, But i took care of that Roof Gnome. Patreon: / jonasolsenwoodcraft The sculptures have been added in my shop! Shop: www.jonasolsen... Instagram: / jonasolsenwoodcraft
Jonas, you are blessed with awesome talent 👏 🙌 your creations are absolutely beautiful and so inspiring and relaxing to watch 🙏thank you so very much and God bless 🙌
Two more projects incredibly well made! Watching your creative process is soothing and your silliness interspersed through the video is entertaining. You are so incredibly skilled and your carvings are always a joy to see come to life!
Your work is not repetitive, always something new. The manta rays is my favourite of the two, great flow and beautiful curves. I think your work deserves better presentation in the end, I know it’s hard but think about it.. Great work
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft The bird one does look aesthetic indeed. I was just wondering what will happen with the squares? Are they just squares or is the something meant to be attached to?
Your videos are so much fun and interesting. My kids laughed a ton watching you goof off. Thanks for making videos. I know how hard RU-vid can be so it is great to see you doing well.
You have such wonderful ideas for carvings, and I always marvel at the skill it takes to make them a reality. So happy to hear that you're able to sell your work to fund more future projects!
Jonas , areas my self i see your art as totally a step above and more, fine art. its fantastic , i watch your videos totally mesmerized and deep into it with your every move. no not creepy crap, i too am a artisan as a chainsaw carver and i do chacuterie and end butcher locks . in short , i love your works
Thank you Jonas 🙏 Your designs are beautiful 💫 Was thinking that the squares between the birds could look amazing with world clocks/time zones around the world - on the wall in companies, banks, hospitals etc. (just a thought).
I SUGGEST to sculpt the squares of the birds as books, and engraving the title of some famous novels. Add LEDs for lighting in the night, the birds will look like flying on wall.
Hey Mr. Jonas, how beautiful sculptures you made again, I think I would put on the squares from the "arrival of spring" some frames and fotos from my most precious friends or family members. Wow you have a very naughty gnome who lives on your roof hehehe and what happened when you were shaking the oil, it completely threw you out of the door to the outside heheheh.
Your work is amazing and I wish I had half the talent you do. One question I can’t get out of my head is how do you put a price on your pieces? Time cost I can understand but how do you price your ability?
Stunning! No, not your dancing lol. I saw my first female giant manta in Bora Bora, Tahiti, just a little south of where we both are. She had the biggest flapper-floppers I had ever seen - since I hadn't seen any before. She was followed by four males who were approximately 3,017 times smaller than her with smaller flipper-floppers. Luckily, I had taken plenty of toilet paper with me before I jumped out of the boat into the deep blue Bora Bora lagoon... Her grey mouth, with much smaller flopper - flappers at the front, slowly emerged from out of the black depths. It was then that everything I had eaten, my parents had eaten and their forebears had eaten, almost passed straight through me but I have a steady Scottish, possibly Norwegian Viking DNA nerve and stout undergarments, well, swimwear on that occasion. I keep the stout undergarments for land use only unless I've had to ditch somewhere. Love the work. Don't dance again. :)
Oh man i think i have been busted for the fraud i really am 😅 But well the title is all about trying to get attention for clicks. Its just how the landscape is nowadays
Well if it’s really a “sculpture” then it would an art work. If it’s “art” then it would be original. If it’s original then of course- no one has seen it before! Duh! Self aggrandizing is nauseating…
Thank you for sharing your wonderful craft. I enjoy your repetitive content, because it is you sharing your art. Your art is beautiful and enchanting to watch. Take care, Jonas. ❤
Would you consider not putting any music in, and keeping the fragments without narration "ASMR"-like, with just woodworking sounds? Your voice is so calming, your work is so calming, yet the music is so energetic, it feels like it doesn't fit there and doesn't contribute to the video. That's just my opinion of course. Also, it really isn't a bad thing that "your content is repetitive". At all. : ) You're doing great, and your returning viewers will appreciate the consistency.
Ye i took notice. Sometimes when i edit i get hyped and i think that made me pick songs that did not fit the videos tempo this time. Thanks for letting me know
Repetitive ??? Every sculpture is so unique and gorgeous!! Jonas has a beautiful style and strong creative vision with every piece! Don't feel bad about having your own style and vision, especially when it's so cool :)
This design of the birds and the blocks would have made a great lamp if you hollowed out the blocks and put lights there hanging it from the roof. And if it did hang from the roof it might have been cool to have variety in the height of the blocks.
And once more some really nice sculptures. It's also great to see you try out more different styles with the kind of "integrated" design you've chosen.
I adore your pieces! The craftsmanship is stellar. If you ever find you have more time for your channel would you be willing to upload with voiceover and music rather than power tool sounds? Or perhaps the db of them lowered. I know I don’t speak for many at all so please feel free to skip over. I love these types of woodworking videos but my ears just can’t handle the noise 🥲 it literally hurts (stupid body 😅)
Thank you and thanks for letting me know about the audio. If i see multiple comments saying i should fix something i do take it into concideration so it is supervaluable for me to know.
This manta ray one would look sick on a pedestal, horizontal way! It does not belong on a wall!!! The mouths are too precious to be hidden away. Great job Jonas!
Wowwww....oltre ad essere una persona molto simpatica e divertente con i tuoi video, rimani un grandissimo e bravo Artista. Complimenti, complimenti, complimenti.
Hey! Jonas, absolutely love your sculptures. From a sketch to a finished sculpture is amazing. Have you ever thought about doing a sculpture of an Australian Duck-Billed Platypus Swimming Up Stream or something to that effect? Anyway, love your work and your videos.
I just found this channel. I do a lot of "surface texturing" on pieces, but mostly functional things like tables, benches, some cabinets. MOST of what I have done is with normal gouges, not power, but I've used some power too at times. I've also done a fair amount of things like picture frames or mirror frames. I want to do some carving like you are doing, but, frankly, you have a lot of talent for that which I don't think i can have. I'll have to get braver to try a bit more... Thanks for showing all the process. You really are unique.
A Sculpture Never Seen Before ? isn't that kind of the point and the uniqueness of art. The key is its communication and aesthetics and acceptance by a person or viewers.
I guess it's a telltale sign that i'm getting old, but... The video is too short 😛 Seriously though, i would have loved watching a bit more in-depth videos on these carvings. As always, they're beautiful. And having been around since your first videos, i have to say everything has improved. You're not being afraid to step outside the box in both sculpting and performing (or should i say goofing around?). But to me the most important improvement is your confidence. You seem more sure of yourself and where you want to take this and i really hope that is the truth. Thanks for giving me something to enjoy here on youtube
Thank you! Yeah well i am more sure that all i can do is put in my best effort and the rest is outside of my control. Thinking this way clears away a lot of my stress. Looking forward to share more goof in the future!
This video really made my day! This project was fantastic to take part in. I am a grandfather who makes little owls, spoons and fantasy figures for my grandchildren! I am impressed with your imagination, knowledge and amazing craftsmanship! Thank you so much for sharing! What type of oil did you use to complete the project?
Thank you so much! I also enjoy a lot to make stuff for my nephews, Mostly wooden cups and pendants. For these projects i uses Liberon finishing oil, But i must be honest and say i am not that knowledgeable when it comes to oils, I just know the liberon oil is a strong durable one
Your work is,as always, amazing and inspiring. The ray sculpture, I have no words, seriously no words to describe the awe I feel. One day I will own a piece that you have created, a promise to myself. Thank you for sharing your talent ❤
love them both. Your work is great, beautiful, and inspiring. You and Nick Zammeti need to get together and have fun on a joint project, your both very enjoyable to watch.
never say sorry for making such wonderfull stuffs! no matter how "repetitive" that seems like- is always a wonderfull time to see you create fluid shapes in wood!! wood!! if nails channels or smile channels can get away with showing the same things with differents desings so can you!! (I speak as someone who loves art nail channels! being creative comes in many shapes and ways! it can look "the same" but never is no work you do is exactly the same- is just unique !!
Absolutely love how youve started to get so comfortable with making videos that you are getting goofy with it 😂 also your bird piece is astonishing! Ik for a fact if i had it hung up id add pictures in the squares of friends or family that have passed so its almost as if their being carried away into the skies ❤ Edit: i forgot the manatas! They are astonishing i truly adore the flow of the piece!!
Two excellent pieces! Both came out wonderful. They are definitely something to be proud of. I'm glad you had some fun, too (please be careful on the roof).
not another say n think that there carving,,, like come on mate did you use hand held chiscels n planing blades ta get your desired shape out of that timber????? yeah nah didnt did ya,,, time ta keep it real ,,, theres old mate , iching n scratching sanding n grinding ta copy designs we came up with years ago,,,
