BRO PLEASE TAKE NEIGHBOR DARRELL FISHING!!!! I'd LOVE to see Neighbor Darrell fight a huge cat on rod n reel and get his reaction. Neighbor Darrel is the man. I love you Lojo and I love badge, but seriously....you can't compete with Darrell
You and AYO need to have the wife fishing challenge. Ya'll can tell them what to do where to cast etc but Ya'll can't touch the poles. Only help release fish once they are on the bank. Most bass wins. That's views.
Hey Lojo, love the videos. Got a question that I'd love to see you answer, what kind of rods and reels do you keep in your "quiver" for a typical day out fishing? Do you buy into the whole "use medium rods for reactive lures" and etc, or just use what you like?
One of the best things in my neck of the woods for striper....when they generate water, is a spoon! If it’s hot the time to go is early in the morning or night! Some giants are in the Tennessee river, biggest I caught is a 37 pounder! It’s a great fight!
Lojo, it would be really great to see you take a tour back to your first home, not the home itself but several of the "OLD" ponds we used ot see a great deal of. Just for old times sake. It might be cool for you to show Andrew II where so much of this all began. Great Kayak not drops, cool little docks with funky rod holders and wacky challenges. Might be fairly cool.......
AYE LOJO JUST RECENTLY IN MIDDLETOWN CT THERE WAS SOMEKIND OF CATFISH THAT WAS SUSPOSTOVELY A WOURLD RECORD??!! PEACE-FROM-DA-NORTHEAST!! DA-BEARDED-FISHERMAN!!
@@alexlawrence8053 YEAH IT WAS FREAKING HUGE I CAUGHT ONE YEARS BACK IN A LITTLE FARM POND IN CT IT WAS A MONSTER BUT NOT THAT BIG I MADE A TOTE AERATOR AND BROUGHTIT TO DEES BAIT AND TACKLE IN NEW HAVEN CT HAD IT DOCUMENTED THEN I BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE SAME POND IT SURVIVED NICELY RIGHT BACK INTO THE POND IT WAS ONE OF MY HIGHLIGHTS IN MY LIFE PEACE FROM DA NORTHEAST DA-BEARDED-FISHERMAN!!
With a crappie nibble! I hit send on accident! You can also catch some big ones with the Berkeley Gulp minnow! That’s a lot but you said give you some ideas!
That was a flat head and I always hold catfish by the lip and by the stomach as you can see In my profile pic. That was a nice flathead. Love your videos. Flathead is the best kind to eat out of all of the catfish. It does have bones in the fillets so you have to watch for them.
Whenever I get anything 5+ I only hold them from underneath. With cats I’ll have them with my fingers holding the pectoral (I think that’s what it’s called) in between them. He can’t stab you and it’s a stable position for you and the fish. Holding biggins by the gills isn’t the best idea, really easy to damage them and sometimes they rip in your hands. No expert by any means, just saying what I do is all🤙🏼 Great fish and video tho🔥🔥
Like that quick release LoJo. Lol Great video man! Love the content. Giant catfish video would be a good idea. More videos from this place please. There great. 👍
Like the change up, something new to keep it interesting. Wish ud have had better luck. Nice cat tho! Good job. Keep it up brother. TIGHT LINES!! LETS FRICKIN GO BABY!
You can lip flatheads. Its the blues and channel cats that you dont want to lip. That was a decent sized flathead for sure though. I've been flathead fishing for over 10 years and it can be very frustrating getting skunked at first. But once you figure them out and start catching them it's just not the same to catch a bass anymore...so be careful! Haha! My PB is only 42 lbs but that fish was like a mythical beast trying to get it in the boat.
There's no bigger heart break than losing a freshly rigged A-Rig ain't that the truth. The first A-Rig I ever fished I lost it second cast. I went back the next day in the kayak with a giant hook and a rope. I never found it lol.
I'm not sure if you know about the California Aqueduct, but Striper are what most people go for. I want to go try an A-rig there and see if I can catch a good one.
Nice flatty .flatheads don't bite hard like blues and channels. You just have to watch when they head shake bc there tooth patches cab scratch up your skin .But they have a soft bite .Awesome catch tho .
Crazy how nice the river looks down where you are. Up here in Atlanta it is like 8 foot high and straight chocolate milk due to all this rain. Love the river fishing and cool to see yal fishing the same body of water I fish, just about 150 miles to the southwest haha.
I would love to see you,Badger,Andrew2,and Darrell catch giant catfish get him his first hybrid hilarious video amazing video as always 💓can't wait for the next one
How long till the Googans have Alabama rigs and Tokyo rigs? It's nice to see something besides largemouth fishin'. The flathead was cool too. It's sad that the Googans are afraid of noodling, I've been telling them to do it for years. Collaborate with Hannah Baron, that would be great.
And yes that was a flathead you caught and you can lip them just like a bass but a blue is the one you'd want to gill cause they bite a whole lot harder
Its a flathead cat, square tail is the clue to look for. Channel cats have a distinctive V tail. Probably a 20 pounder, I won't eat ones that big, 5-8 pounds are your best eating, fewer pollutants in the fish. And grab it in the mouth, they have sandpaper teeth like a big bass.
Just an fyi those hybrid and stripers love little bream you literally have the perfect bait farm in your back yard they like shad too but bream are easier to keep alive
Its completely opposite of what you said about fishing current when the water turns on it concentrates the fish because they cant be in rippin currents for long lol
You'll catch heat in the catfish groups for gilling a flat head. They don't bite down on your hands like a blue or channel. Grab the bottom part of the jaw
Love ya look and AYO I’m a boy had a Tennessee have been working on Boats and Annabel history of my life there’s not anything I can’t fix if anybody needs anything he can always come down to Tennessee and I’ll hook you up and fix you up but you and Aol are my two favorite guys watch on RU-vid I watch all your videos he has are freaking hilarious and amazing and keep making great content
That was a flathead, and flatheads don't bite too hard, blues & channels hurt when they chomp ya though. Stick your hand in their mouth, curl your fingers round their bottom jaw and hoist em that way. Thumbs alone are gonna get shredded in their teeth, it'll make bass thumb look like a manicure.
Nice flathead and you can hold them by the mouth thumb on outside and hand in mouth and hold pressure against the mouth . Yes they can bite down but nothing like a channel or blue cat and we all know channels are just mean
That right there is want we call a flathead monster we have them in Pennsylvania and that's the fish that I chase our state record is 53lb!! You and the badge should really look into targeting them..
Hello Joe you got to get a o fishing and Andrew too in there and go do some catfishing rotten chicken bait and strawberry Kool-Aid man I'm telling you it works
Can confirm was fishing a quarry pit attached to a big lake throwing the recon and caught a 7.5 pound striper way that thing fought I thought I hooked the state record largie
