BEAUTIFUL CHERRY RED!!!! never seen that cherry red like that! Nicley done jordy! Looking forward to meeting you in person on Thursday night actually tonight :)
When you focus your intention into the feeling of what you already have, you’ll manifest everything you desire. Ergo bro, a 40” steelhead. Most excellent. 🤙
I know this is a late comment but i love the spey videos mainley because i just bought my first spey setup please keep the spey vids coming.tight lines🎣💪
Great video, Jordan. You're a class act, and you always share great info on how to and always encourage us to take a chance to learn new techniques. Love your on river meals
Just found your channel and subscribed. I love your adventures in the PNW, giving us some of your knowledge of the local surroundings, foraging and fishing for food, and then whipping up a delicious meal afterwards all with superb presentation and enthusiasm. You got me hooked and waiting to be landed for the next episode. Thumbs up!👍
I learned how to fish two years ago watching your addicted fishing videos... I learned so much and my husband and I go at least 2x month. I'm happy to see you have your own channel and I've subscribed!
Another great video. Thank you for sharing all of your adventures, but especially the fly fishing ones. I would definitely love to see the PNW expo footage, so please post it!
Yes do the video. Saw you at the Washington show, looked like a lot of work went in to that. That Bitchn sauce is good on everything! Congratulations on the steel on Spey that’s a tuff one. 🙌👍👏❤️
hell ya jordan, been waiting too see a spey/switch video for steelhead 🙌🏼, here in alaska the part i live in is kind of hard for it but we mange to get a few.
That's a beauty of a fly and fish. I actually do enjoy a good buck fight when they're changing colors, even into their golden boot form. I've got my share of steelhead and it is hard to beat the memory of any fish you walk down into a spot others have been fishing with no luck plunkin and you hook up on the first cast drifting eggs or tossing a spinner. My favorite steelhead catch wasn't my first, although that's a good short story. My favorite was about 10 years ago now, I had taken my kids swimming on a small river nearby that I grew up swimming in and wanted to share the spot with them. They were playing in the shallows below me and I was tossing a #3 blue with silver blade bluefox spinner up into the boils of the rapid and letting it flutter and fall into the deep plunge pool of a defunct fish ladder and blasted out waterfall. I had tossed it a few times playing with depth and retrieve when I saw a flash come from under the rock ledge that is on the edge of the stream, down deeper where the current has carved out. That flash was a golden boot buck that attacked my lure and ran for the deep water below the boils fighting me in a 15' long by 5' wide canyon in the "bedrock" flows the stream winds through in Cowlitz County. Pics of that fish proved to many friends that fish do still run on that small mountain river.
Jordan everything I know I learned from you. We should meet up in June and fish for springers. I'm actually in Seattle at UW hospital at the moment gonna have open heart surgery today. If it makes any difference having you join me for a day in salmon fishing is definitely one of my top 3 things to do on my bucket list LOL
Watching this on a beach in Baja in my van, tying flies to catch my dream Rooster! From one Oregon boy to another - this channel rocks, Jordan. I pretty much only fish spey rods at home, and I've been sooo happy to see your commitment to the swing. Winter steel on the fly is the pinnacle. Keep it up!! Your knowledge from hardware and all the coastie time you've spent near the salt will quickly make you a master of this style of fishing. Just wait until you accidentally hook a springer on a steelhead fly ;)
Now that was indeed a awesome streamer for that beautiful Steele head. Jordan you truly nailed that fish. Great video. Your second Steele head really took to the air but much easier to catch. That massive sandwich looked really good indeed. Good eats at the end can’t go wrong.
I know its a super midwest thing, but speaking of different methods it would be awesome to see you pick up a centerpin! Especially since your sponsor okuma already makes the sheffield which is super nice !
Slob buck male steelie!!! My uncle caught one of the nicest "painted red" steelies (Ontario tribs) but yours takes the cake!!! Those western steelhead are cool!!! May not get as many on a fly rod or spey rod in this case but the quality of the fish are really nice and its just a fun way to fish. But i am the same way i don't stick to just one technique. I love all ways/techniques/styles of fishing. Nice fly too by the way. Oh and im down with the haiwaan rolls and sliders but no avacado for me sorry. Lol.. Your dog is great too he only barks when you hook up! Lol..Good stuff man! Like to see more fly rod too in the future! Indicators are cool too! Fish on!!
Try taking your favorite Chip. I like Fritos or sunchips. What you like. Put them in a Ziploc bag take rolling pin and powderize some. Add flower and bread fish with egg . Try it it's different but good.
