I Celebrated BIZU with the CHAKMA Tribe in Mizoram - Northeast Indian Tribe
I travelled to a place called Longpuighat to celebrate Bizu with the Chakma community and this video is all about that. Our journey from Chawngte to Longpuighar was a crazy bumpy ride however I am glad I got to visit this place, this visit to the Chakma inhabited regions in Mizoram was truely eyeopening for me in many ways.
Chakma tribe is a separated tribe and you will find Chakmas in Assam, Arunachal, Mizoram and even in Bangladesh and Myanmar. This was my first time celebrating the festival of Bizu with the Chakma tribe and it was truly exhilarating. Chakmas have a unique way of life and people are there are very resilient and positive, I wish I get to visit them again :).
