I know it's missing door handles and mirrors... I goofed. Design was done rather quickly as I rushed it before a trip but it will be fixed before it is posted to Discord and will be all sorted by the time it's back for the Autopolitan. Also scoreboard is a bit wacky at the end, just full of attention to detail this ep!
I don't know, maybe it's a feature, like when the cyberpunk concept model has no mirrors. Slap an oversized windshield wiper on that bad boy and you're good to go!
"great Scott Marty" "What's wrong doc?" "The entire car is steel and iron, but the unibody is fiberglass!" "You Mean to tell me this car is not only heavy but also flimsy!" "No marty! We lost the unibody going back in time!"
Oh the chassis is a backbone type made of aluminium . Its basically a lotus espirit , which uses the same chassis as the elan . Fun fact , toyota took the elan design and stole it for the 2000gt , and then they bought the delorean rights as reasearch for the MR2 , although its not obvious how much of the MR2 actually used these designs
Ah yes, I remember reading about that a while ago. I remembered seeing videos of it on an assembly line but just couldn't remember what it was exactly. I just had a recollection of it being body on frame so I went with ladder.
Usually searching "(blank car) Chassis" helps to find if it does or not, completely understandable though, just a tip for next time (honestly not trying to be rude, just saying what I do)@@ConsiderGaming
I was weirdly confident on my hazy memory lol. But I feel ladder was the best of the options given the limitations so at least I can sleep soundly this time.
It's very hard to fix this car. I tried once with a very similar layout to the original, but it was mid engine instead of rear and I somehow made the front end look worse.
Idk why but i am kinda trigerred the car doesn't have mirrors or door handles. Also that hole thing is just an export issue, i had that too with my 1k + HP Opel Corsa C when exporting it.
Ahh I somehow missed the door handles in editing too! I'll fix that before I post it to the Discord. It'll have both those things when it's back for the tournament.
The interesting thing about the Delorean front wheels are slightly smaller than the rear wheels And there is a company that is currently producing a higher performance version called "the stage 2" in which i think is more of what John wanted the Delorean's performance to be like
hello, could you do a "fixing camaro zl1" kind of video? i mean giving it a massive old tech (like 70's) 8 liter N/A V8 with rpm limit on 5000 rpm and testing it in beamng drive, its not about the power it would make but about that low pitch rumbling sound that (in my opinion) modern muscle cars just dont have anymore
And so he was gone with the wind once again, never to return; for it is not his time. We will miss you with pain in our hearts, but for now... It is GrogTV we will trust. Until you come back; back home.
IIRC the Delorean had a backbone chassis similar to the Lotus Elan. That doesn't exist in Automation (along with a dozen other things on my personal wishlist, but I think the functionally closest one would be partial monocoque or space frame. Definitely corrosion-resistant steel since the car was stainless, lol. Wait... Dude... an actual Delorean has double wishbone in the front... With coil-OVERS, meaning the coil spring and the damper are one unit or otherwise mounted in the same place. Not that it has "solid axle coil" suspension, christ on a BIKE, use your eyes n shit. (cast iron block) bruh, it literally says aluminum engine on the spec sheet you showed. Side note, all these Automation videos lately are making me want to reinstall it, but then I'd also have to track down and select mods, too... Fuck...
Fun fact, a part of the reason the DeLorean was so expensive was due to John Delorean wasting all his money on cocaine. They also got a bunch of money from the British government, so the British taxpayer helped to partially fund his cocaine habit. The government always uses your tax dollars wisely!😄😄😄
It was designed to have around 200hp but then issues arrised it had put a renault engine in it. It was also originally designed to have a rotary Also emerican specs were absolutely kneecapped in prefromance
Is the time for the okya osäkar supposed to be 1:13:42? Currently the leader board makes no sense. Edit: I checked the original video and the time is correct, so the table is in the wrong order.
Crap did I mess it up there too. I think I set a record for mistakes in this vid lol. I'll address it and fix it for the next one. Thanks for pointing it out.
