Great video Bens, and great to see No Laying Up getting in the mix for some collabs. I have been a fan and subscribed to them for a while. They always put out such great content and different things with series like Tourist Sauce, Strapped, and others. Hope this will open the door to some more in the future and continue to help grow their channel as well.
Wow i did not see Ben (hadden) being the first to get an NLU collab…but I’m glad he did! This was a great match guys. NLU would do very well to let Ben and maybe even Neil do more of these
I really like the pacing in this video. Not too much talk, just the right amount. You pack a lot of golf shots in a short amount of time which is much appreciated. Great content!
So glad to see your channel taking off, such an awesome personality and a really fun golfer to watch. That said, Ben is the best golfer in NLU? I did not know he was 2 shots better than Soly, wild.
I'm usually always annoyed by RU-vidrs always going for it and never making the smarter play. At least this one your stated goal was no lay ups. Video idea.... Play a round where your first ball is going for it for any shot where it's possible a lay up is the better play...off the tee, second shot, whatever, doesn't matter...always "go for it" with the first ball. Then play a second ball right behind it that is the lay up shot and finish the hole out with those 2 balls and see how it finishes. And lets take it to the extreme on the lay up shots...if you have 230-240 in with bunkers all around, even though that's not really a "go for it" shot for you since you have that club in the bag....go ahead and lay up on that one too with your second ball. In other words...first ball is tee it high, let it fly and go for everything on every shot possible....second ball is extreme caution on every shot.
And of course I'm only 2 holes in and Hadden bones himself on both holes by not laying up....hole 1, just hit a 3 iron off the tee and then you have a PW in. Hole 2, second shot lay up, easy day...but no, goes long and is screwed.
@26:21 i have to say as a greenskeeper i would say during regular play at your course there, they keep the greens on the softer side so nonpros have a bit of an easier time holding the greens, if they were constantly firm/hard greens a lot of "not pro" members and "regular" players would have an even harder time playing decent at that course..thats my bet. I also think it keeps people coming back, if you constantly go there and get your a$$ kicked you may not come back as often. Just my opinion
