I challenged Simon Lizotte to a 1v1 at my Home Course!

In today’s episode I play a 1v1 disc golf challenge with one of the best Pro Disc Golfers in the world being Discmania Sponsored Simon Lizotte!
When Simon moved to my area this offseason I knew that it was my chance to capitalize on the opportunity to get together and film a collaboration and that’s exactly what we did, and the fact that it was at my home course at Borderland State Park is just that much sweeter.
I really hope you guys enjoy this episode as it’s a culmination of a lot of hard work and persistency over the years of building this channel and putting myself in a position to where something like this can come to fruition.

When I started playing disc golf a few years ago, I injured my right hand after a car accident. My thumb had to be amputated. I knew that if I were to ever play again, I would have to throw with my left hand. I searched RU-vid for lefty throwers and I found Noah. He recently hurt his dominant throwing hand. His determination and love for the game helped me believe that I could still play with my left hand. I practiced and practiced like he did and I'm actually better than I was throwing righty. I've always known Noah was pretty good but after watching him play with Simon, I knew he was a great player. #keepinspiring#Epicgame

When I was a kid I had whats called Nurse’s Elbow...my dominate arm was pulled out of socket 7 times..ss a result I have to drive with my right arm and put left handed. Left being my dominate. I will be 50 this year..been throwing since 88...its a tough road due to no sidearm or natural way to get a long natural right ending hyzer it is very tough when I get trapped short left to say the least. Its never stopped me from playing this great game of ours! Cheers to those who percivere im the face of handicap!

Favorite part, probably the friendly banter but not forgetting to congratulate on the great shots. That's my favorite part of disc golf. Favourite part is definitely seeing camaraderie, even though you two were competing. Disc golf is a special sport in which it's not uncommon for your competitors to cheer you on, feel your pain, and vice versa. Cheers, and thanks for the vids!

My favorite part of this video was to see how humble Simon is... Truly refreshing to see a player of his caliber play with such humility. But the best part of the match for me was when Simon made that first circle 2 putt to tie in 17 after miasing so many circle 1 or circles edge putts to tie. Great round y'all! It was great to see the differences between the two of you, how you approached different shots, and even the little 'analysis' after the shots. It really is good to hear what you did wrong as well as what you did right as I strive to improve my game. I love the genuine enthusiasm you have to play with Simon. He is really great at growing the game. Just messing around with the "ace" run at the end, the doggo, etc. All lots of fun to watch. Favorite part (sorry) was the chain out you had because of the expression on your face and how it solidified the difference per Simon's video on how 975 vs 1040 can scramble.

My favorite part is how humble you both seem. Even after winning, Simon still felt like he needed to apologize for being Simon, and you saying that everyone should sub to his channel was really cool too. I loved the sportsmanship displayed and really the sportsmanship involved with disc golf in general. I am having a blast playing this sport with my children. This video was a whole other level of candid Simon, even from his own vlog. Still always on the positive side. Airballs a putt and walks away smiling, shanks a drive and his only concern is if he’s in bound otherwise it’s always a great opportunity for a second shot. Great job on this. My favorite part of this was that it had a different kind of energy. Many of us would have some giddiness in a situation like that and I'm glad you didn't try to hide it and let your extra excitement show. It was like living vicariously through you for a round. Simon is my favorite player mostly because of the energy he brings. He has a unique way of being fiercely competitive but yet very easy going and encouraging at the same time. I respect that. Outstanding video! The last couple videos have been some of your best work!

To ne honest I loved the whole vid!! Simon is the best and loved the part about the waving to the imaginary crowd and the rooster part 4 you. I get any brownie points for saying I loved the bonus footage at the end (aka the dog run through) or the total rando person walking near basket 18 on your tee shot! Keep up the great work/vids!

My favorite part was rewinding and playing just about every throw (and put) from you and Simon at .25/speed. Took me about 2 enjoyable hours to get through the whole vid. Simon is my favorite pro and you seem so down-to-earth and humble as well. At 55 years of age, I'm so happy I can enjoy a sport with you young guns. Cheers!

Great video. I really liked the fact that Simon will do these types of videos. You played very well. Anytime you do something with someone you really admire makes it hard. You want to do so good it really adds the pressure.

This is why disc golf is such a great sport, with people like Simon a great ambassador for the game. Loved it. :) Fav moment? Celebration routine by Simon in the last two baskets. The celebrations were pure relief :D :D Heck I gotta have two moments. The ace challenge at the end. I was cheering you both on. Finished off by the unexpected appearance of a dog, that looked totally unfazed by the whole thing. Still smiling here.
