ABOUT & GAMEPLAY: THRONEFALL
With Thronefall we tried to strip a classic strategy game from all unnecessary complexity, combining it with some healthy hack and slay. Build up your base during the day, defend it til your last breath at night.
Will you be able to strike the right balance between economy and defence? Do you need more archers, thicker walls or an additional mill? Will you keep the enemies at bay with your longbow or charge your horse right into them? It's going to be a tough night, but nothing beats seeing the sun rise above your little kingdom to live another day.

(Re-comment to try to make sure Blitz saw it) The krakens health is directly proportional to the enemies it spawns. Even if you never attack it, it will die, attacking it, in turn will reduce the number of enemies it can spawn, so focus on defending your town hall from enemies first and foremost, so for instance, using the swords wide area of attack to cut through the large number of weak spawns the kraken spews forth is a good strategy, or having hunters that deal heavy damage to creatures and some strategically placed oil towers to hit groups of enemies.

In the dessert maybe upgrading mines first is good. You get more cash at the beginning and so have a smotther start

It was interesting seeing a run where the best economical engine on that map, the mills, were mainly ignored while the snake challenge was in play. The low score at the end certainly showed it wasn't the most optimal way, but I wouldn't have expected it to be possible to learning that it was possible was certainly fun.

One tactic I really loved was going all-in on your king's attack power, glass cannon, warhorse, and warrior mode, as well as the assassin training and kingly mastery upgrades from the city center. It's a super high risk play style, but if you play it perfectly(or just near perfectly, but there are a few quirks that make it more challenging such as sticking too close to the spawn is a death wish), you can take out the Big Fish nearly solo, just need hunters for those few air enemies, and some walls to survive better. Extremely fun game, all things considered. I've gotten all achievements (all quests up to and including Frostsee, currently) in two days and have been trying out the occasional silly strategy like power tower + commander mode + arcane towers, and watching the double shots from the iron plates tower literally stream out of it. Oh yeah, and that full-hero mode doesn't work very well in durststein due to the exploders, but it is what got me the D and E quests on Frostsee in the same attempt. That took me about 10 attempts due to the extreme level of precision, caution, and perfection required to pull off being the hero off your own story.

I think you should focus on leveling up the mill since it gives you a lot of money. Just buy the minimum structures for defense in the early and mid game. Then in the late game you focus on leveling up defenses. With this strategy i win this map with just two walls lost ( and they are in the same place)

Advice for Frostsee: It is quite the challenge-make sure to bring a lot of fire archers, flails, and hot oil, (and you must have at least two ballistae) and get your harbors as early as possible-if you can't play risky, go home.

FOR DURSTSTEIN: GET TWO MINES IMMEDIATELY it kickstarts your economy. Furthermore: Spears are a premium option in the desert, as they can deal with the fast monster riders, and the hunterlings from the northwest. anchor them in place for the first exploders, as they instantly die to the explosion, and use hunters against the exploders.
